Yeah, the very EXISTENCE of Yamask really throws a lot of what we know pre-Gen V about life and death in the Pokemon world for a loop, doesn't it? Like, there was Froslass in Gen IV who was supposedly the ghost of a woman who got lost in a blizzard, but I'm pretty sure that was always built like an urban legend instead of hard facts. However, with Yamask, now it's like, "Yeah, guess what, EVERY SINGLE YAMASK is a dead human reincarnated as a Pokemon, deal with it".
My god.. the more deeper it got I started crying. Knowing that I read the first entry on black. Not knowing what It meant by "used to be it's face" and I thought 'maybe this pokemon was different' But now?.. God I feel horrible
Hey, everyone! No, your eyes aren't deceiving you -- I have, in fact, kept my word and started another string of Creepytober uploads for this year! For those who are new, Creepytober is a thing where I read Pokemon creepypastas on (almost) every Thursday of October. I haven't done it for the last couple of years -- 2018 because I had a really bad case of burnout as a content creator in general for various reasons, and 2019 because my old laptop crapped out on me and I *couldn't* make videos -- but I'm definitely doing it this year, as you can see! Thanks for anyone who's stuck around waiting for this yearly tradition to come back, silly as it may be -- I know a lot of folks like it when I read Pokemon creepypastas, for some reason, so hopefully you enjoy this year's picks! I decided to start off with kind of a short one to get the ball rolling, but the other entries are definitely a bit longer. Anyway, Happy Creepytober, everybody!
Glad you enjoy these narrations so much! Sorry I've kept you waiting for the last couple of years (burnout in 2018, computer issues in 2019), but hopefully I can get back into the groove of doing this annually again now!
I love this! As a creepypasta based on a canonical Pokédex entry, and thus true to the source material, I feel like this is a tale you would hear in the official Pokémon games. I have always wondered what a Yamask thinks when looking at a memento of its former self.
Yeah, the person who wrote this definitely took a wonderfully somber direction with it. Usually, when I'm picking creepypastas to narrate for this, I try to avoid the ones that are just, "A Pokemon game, but it's HAUNTED?!" (though I've done a few that are like that) because in-universe, lore-based stories are just generally much more interesting to me, haha.
Ooh, nice intro! I'm glad to see this series is making a comeback. And I agree that Pokemon Creepypastas based on the lore of the games are better than the overdone "haunted cartridge" ones.
Thank you! And yeah, I haven't done this for a couple of years (2018 due to burnout with being a UA-camr in general, 2019 because my laptop was dead), haha.
Yamask, the first pokemon I caught (my first game was Pokemon: Black) who's pokedex entry made me think, "I'm sorry, WHAT?!"

And today's my birthday too, so this is a treat! :)
Happy birthday!!
@@SuperNerdDaniel Thanks! :D I'm 21 today.
So _that's_ what the point of the mask is
Wow I haven't seen a pokepasta from you in a long time great narration.
Thank you! And yeah, I haven't done this for a couple of years (2018 due to burnout with being a UA-camr in general, 2019 because my laptop was dead), haha.
I think that a new thing you could do after 2020 is to experiment with UA-cam content.
wow, that’s a mask alright
Thanks I enjoyed this
Pleasantly surprised that you are still making videos.
Yup, still making stuff in the hopes that SOMEBODY likes it.
