incredible lessons and above all humanity and a kind heart, you charge with your energy and few have that. Greetings from Bulgaria, you are my inspiration.
He was a miner and dropped gems in a short amount of time and even more offline in person. Toronto appreciated you and we are happy that you listened to wifey!
I couldn't agree more with your style bro, I've been following you for around 2 years, and I love the videos that show the real moments, and real colors. If the camera moves a little bit, hey is not bad. If you have clean audio for everything, this is right. You are a Cinematographer, not a normal videographer is the key. I've tried to do a similar style approaching to my Latino culture, obviously, each culture is different and is cool. Keep doing amazing videos for the couples, because the videos are for them not for other videographers, and please continue being you. Awesome Bro
I couldn't be more appreciative of all the tips and tricks and all your struggles you went through and sharing it all with us!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank You!!! Great presentation! Kept me taking notes all the way to the end. God Bless!!
8:30 While I straight up DO NOT like your portfolio, I appreciate the hustle and f-u approach of your business model, I respect that. It's unusually rare to find someone in our industry who unapologetically does things their way. It's how I work. Funny enough, as a kid, I too wanted to get into filmmaking, but in 2002 10th grade, I realize it was next to impossible without a budget and a crew of five, not counting the talent. It's why fell into photography instead. To this day, I pray I don't work with video teams. And to my relief, I have only worked with a video team twice in all my years. Second time was an atrocious experience.
What kind of questions do you use to prompt during story calls, and how many subsequent communications do you have? Do you provide the couple any tips or guides to get the most story out?
Justin & Cassandra. Me & my wife, we really would love to meet you one day. You've inspired us so much. I was let go at my job last month as an OTR truck driver. I have completely left the trucking industry because of what you're bringing to the table. As of right now, no one around our area is doing wedding filmmaking other than a couple of photographers who are offering some small video additions. And to my knowledge, no one anywhere near us is doing Reality TV Wedding documentary films. You are an inspiration to us, and you keep us on our toes. To me, you guys are the Peter McKinnon of wedding filmmaking, and I hope you know you've got people who are looking at your work far beyond probably what you think it is. Because of what you and your wife are doing, we established our own wedding film company solely striving to provide the same type and quality of content as you are. I hope to be able to join your academy soon and maybe one day we will meet. We appreciate you and your wife more than you know and I am glad to see you conquering man. Keep up all of the work and we enjoy what you've been doing. Wes (Tara & Wes Films)
*Amazing video once again! I first saw you when I was watching who is Matt shooting some bts for you and realized this is the type of wedding I want to shoot! Before seeing how you are doing things I wasnt too excited about shooting weddings! I will say tho the camera operator got me a little distracted with all the wobbling arround haha anyway alot of gems in this!*
Have you seen anyone try to copy your style yet, I thought it was over kill at first but I'm now a believer... what's your turnaround time on the editing...
I don’t think it’s a “copying” style per say. I really hope it becomes the new standard in the industry. That’s so amazing to hear you say you’re now a believer. Thank you for the support. Our turnaround because of backlog is about 7 -9 months.
@@JustinPorterMedia yeah, I figured that post production would be a monster cause you're basically creating movies...sound design, editing, color correction and grading...I'm guessing you're at the heart of every single one of those productions...have to duplicate yourself...
AHHHH You did such a great job babe!!! First time on stage is so epic!!!

This is inspirational and so informative. Thank you for sharing Justin!
Dude I just watch this whole thing. Love it! Love it. How do you work with photographers though. I can see photographers in my area hating this.
This is so good, and inspiring.
Thank you so much! Appreciate the support!

Answered my own question about 32:00 - how do you keep the mics on bridesmaids/bride/groom so that it doesn’t get interfered with clothing changes
