Also once you are in the character selection area go to setting and change the gateway option to server nearest to you. Will majorly help with server performance. I live in Utah and it kept putting me in EU servers and hitting any attack button had almost a half second delay until I changed it.
My biggest issue is screen tearing. Drive me nuts Edit : Just figure out that if you switch Lighting > Shadow(without Global illumination) than screen tearing is gone. Works on full NIS upscale too.Even in Hunting grounds.

I just tried this thanks to your comment and yes I 100% agree. It gets rid of those sharp pixelated edges to everything that is especially noticeable during movement (the clearest way to tell is by seeing the slight movements of your character on the inventory screen). And it gave me a 10 fps boost!
Base PS5 Dynamic resolution: on NIS no upscale Sharpness: 50 Shadows+global illumination 60hz I get mostly a stable 60fps but some dips down into the 50's when there is alot of screen activity. Lowest i got was 46-48 in hunting grounds. I was doing 120hz for awhile but it's really unstable and causes alot of screen tearing. If you have 120hz i still recommend using 60hz until they fix the 120hz mode.
Change lighting to only shadows and keep dynamic resolution with native resolution. It's not really playable without dynamic resolution unfortunately. You will get encounters where you will even drop to 15 fps, chunked down to 2 fps momentarily etc without it. Hell, you know the devs knew what they were in for when dynamic res gets so agressive that it turns 360p for a bit on rare boss fights but still keep 60 fps 😂
Enable VRR + get an Oled Monitor | TV. which supports this, like LG C1 and further + you will be able to have 80-119 Frames consisternts in nearly each mode u running....G2025
Good god end game high tier maps are absolutely horrid. When you’re running a map with breaches or delirium it makes the game drop to like 10fps the game looks great but Jesus it can’t even run this game properly. This is coming from someone with 100+ hours. It’s really making the experience unenjoyable. Campaign was fine but Jesus the later game you get it exponentially get worse.. unfortunate this game is phenomenal
Yes, just remember we are essentially beta testing this game, so tell the devs and they will optimize. There are tons of PS5 players and they won't leave the game in this state.
@@pr4efectus I found having the default upscaling at 67% with the sharpness turned down brought the best balance between graphics and performance. You will generally have 55 to 60 fps and the visuals still look solid. Make sure you have your server region selected to the one closest to you (done within the main menu) to prevent input delay.
@@Cmane-0- yes, the servers are on fire right now. However you should check your graphics settings as well. If you have everything at max it will impact performance as well which can also lead to the game feeling sluggish.
If you haven't don't this yet, remove the dead zone on the controller. I thought the game had incredibly bad input lag too, but by default is has like 30% deadzone and it was just that.
@@InvaderShaneBest advice would be to change your server manually nearest to your location. You can change it at the character selection screen. Options/game/gateway It auto on default so you could be on a server which is for example in Singapore

I don’t know why but NIS on 67% and no upscale were so bad on my ps5 fat. FSR improved graphics x10. What can be the reason? I see NIS is looking ok on your ps5. But for my experience it was very bad using NIS
If you look in the comments everyone has a different answer on what looks best. I like NIS on 67% with sharpness turned to like 20%. But some like FSR, to me I felt the game lost a lot of the detail that I appreciated in the game.
Im playing on FSR, sharpness 100% but sharpness in tv on minimum. When you in NIS mode the character on inventory screen looks kind od pixelated on the edges.
For me I have it on NIS with the resolution at 67%, mostly keeps the game at 60 fps. You can turn off dynamic culling which will disable some particle effects to keep performance at the target 60fps.
I have similar problems, but not with the hud, when I'm in my inventory I can see half of the letters of my characters name. And when I'm trading I have to guess what button to push for accepting. I hope that they will fix it, and they know about it I have read it on their own forum, so we aren't alone

It does not matter which settings you use all goes to fps drops after like chapter 2. there are big threats on their page on it by multiple people and the devs just ignore it. poe2 on ps5 is huge scam. it drops to 30 fps in bigger fights or even 10 fps when u done with act 3 its unplayble pretty much.
Unfortunately the game is making my resolution and frame drop outside of the game on the ps hub. It's the really frustrating. I close the game and still have the issues. I found that big I switch the hdmi output to standard and back to enhanced it fixes it. I haven't seen anyone else with this issue .

@InvaderShane yes,it's still early with this pssr so once it gets updated and firmware updates I'm sure it will really start making a difference. Right now it's just to early.
@@pacman5800 the PS5 Pro is worth it if you have a very good OLED. I have a 65” LG C3, most Playstation games with Enhanced for the Pro looks very good especially Stellar Blade and Rebirth. Unfortunately POE2 sucks for it. Way uglier than Diablo 4. Even on PSSR Quality, it dips to sub-30s whenever I cast spells with my Stormweaver.
FSR on performance mode looks best on ps5, adjusting the sharpness to your liking, NIS mode fucks up the anti analising and thats why you see those weird jagged edges on everything especially your character. FSR is the way to go

I can't play my PS5 becasue I accidently pulled the fan connector off the motherboard trying to clean it :( After 3 1/2 years it need it. Can't find anyone to fix it in my area :( So I have been playing a little on PC instead. However if I did have mine running I would turn the setting to shadow and turn gloabal illumination off (it looks hazy as hell) then select performance. But thats just me, I hope your enjoying the game. I started as a witch and minion build, seems to be a good choice.

i highly doubt that. the game itself is cpu bound and the cpu in the pro isn't able to deliver 60 fps 100% of the time in this game. especially when many mobs and effects are on screen.
@ I do mostly get a stable 60. With that said, I do have an OLED with VRR so I don’t usually notice small drops. I have found the moving town hub in act 2 has horrible performance. It’s 40 fps the entire time I’m in that town regardless of which setting I use. Probably just poor optimization in that location.

NIS and Bilinear modes look like early era PS4 games on PS5. FSR looks passable but the screen tearing is rough, spell effects are quite muddy and the framerate drops hard when there's a lot of mobs which is an issue for endgame content (The meat of the game). They still have a lot of optimizing to do here.
Game performes poor when you have any particles in your build and there is more mobs. Infernal witch build drops frames regularly below 20fps in act 1 already on PS5. Microtransactions are not cross platform as well for PS5. So I can not use my stash tabs on PC. Even if i buy them again on PC they are different ones. Trading is separate as well driving prices to 10x. I wouldn’t say this game is ready for console. At least not for PS5.

VRR is more important, My TV doesn't have it and it makes things stutter in certain games.....Game Mode on a TV is almost needed now days

Just set the resolution to 1080p. Runs much better and there’s no difference in visuals at all. Also sharpness to zero

I am the only one who struggle with weapons set skill?? It seem broken on ps5.... I've watched video on pc and it seem to work better.

@@guilhermemaia3959 I've heard the exact opposite from people playing on Xbox so it seems performance depends a lot on the build, amount of visual effects, etc.

I'm playing on the Pro, and it looks fantastic. Game is so damn fun.
I love it, they just got to fix the servers and optimize the game more.
Looks terrible which is why I just ordered a ps5 pro instead.
@@cloudburnX lemme know how it looks on the pro, I think the game looks great but you need to fiddle around with it and the performance is always gonna something to think about. I'm curious to see what the pro could do for this game.

No upscaling with 60Hz looks beautiful on the pro
It’s washed out because of capture. The game looks amazing but when captured it makes it looked washed out for some reason.
