Thank you very much!
Once again, perfect video.
Please, make The Beauty Of Hereditary.
"I think people remember pictures not dialogue. That's why I like pictures." - David Lean
He spoke facts with that
The way you begin and end with the "match cut", considered to be the greatest cut in film history, that was just the perfect tribute to David Lean.
The perfect cut for a video about the man with the perfect cut, I even think if I cut the music it would be even more epic.
Perhaps a tie with that iconic cut in 2001 by Stanley Kubrick.
This is by far one of the videos I've been looking forward to the most. Thank you.
One of the greatest motion picture directors of all time, possessing the keen eye of a film editor. Mr. Lean directed some of the best movies in film history. Although remembered for his epic films, it's the small, intimate scenes that are the most memorable. I still am in awe of this man. And it's all without CGI.
Lean has some of the prettiest movies ever made under his belt. I find that many people I know are completely unaware of him, and it deeply saddens me.
Our family’s greatest pride :)
You're from David's family ? :)
David Lean, Including his cinematographers, were certainly in a class of their own. This is one of the very best clips I've seen in "The Beauty Of" library. Kudos to you sir.
A fantastic montage showing his undeniable skills as a Director and he was also an unbelievable Film 🎥 Editor to boot………thank you for the clips of my favourite director of all time, well so far!?!?! 🤔🙂🙏👏👍
Watched this edit 8 times now...i think you've sparked an interest in exploring Lean's filmography with this one. An amazing edit!
This video is a masterpiece! Merci, Marc! 💖
Excellent
I would like to see “The Beauty Of” Orson Welles one day.
Same here^ 🙌
Breathtaking!! Absolutely breathtaking!!
This is stunning. Enjoyed every moment. Lean is my favorite director, and you made a wonderful tribute!
They say you can freeze frame any second of a David Lean film, put a frame around it and hang it on your wall. One of the masters.
no other filmmaker has captured this specific balance of intimacy and grandeur in their films other than Lean. One of a kind he was
While I Don't entirely disagree.. ...the scope, and.. finality of such an assertion is problematic (at best)...
Are You Speaking Comprehensively across his (Leans) entire cinematic lexicon or on an more intimate Individualized basis (i.e. specific films in particular)
Great, great, great David Lean.
Thank you for the video. Beautiful.
Beautiful indeed - your choreography of the images and music is perfect - thank-you.
A timeless master. I wish there was a film-maker like him making films now, but I'm so glad the world got Sir David Lean in it, and that he made films.
Special mention to Freddie Young, his genius cinematographer.
truly one of the directors of all time
I've been looking forward to this one, and once again you perfectly match audio and visual together, thank you. I think Leans version of Oliver Twist is the best one.
I have never seen a David Lean film. Obviously, I have been missing out on life.
Thanks a lot for such a beautiful compilation.
this is gorgeous
Brilliant collection of shoot!
Fantastic work
A true master of his craft
Imagine what David Lean could do today with a 70mm IMAX camera. The images he would make would be Godly
Lean usaba Panvision 70, o sea cinta para filmar y eso le daba el toque único a sus obras
J’adore la musique.🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻
The owner of the best movie cut, couldn't be a bad director.
Magnifique !
beautiful
Just now i could say that y have chosen the most appropriate piece of music to your video
One of the all time greats
This could be hours long, beautiful stuff
Excellent 😅
Hi, I've been a subscriber for a year now and really appreciate the amazing work you do. And I just wanted to suggest that you do a video on Rumble Fish, which has one of the most creative and cool cinematographies I've ever seen. It kinda looks like Trainspotting in 1950s America shot in b/w.
Hey, like your works, keep going. It would be great to see a tribute also to Troy of 2004.
One of the all-time great visual masters of the medium.
One of your best videos - tho I say that often! 🙏
C'est magnifique
Im cry seriusly this is oustanding.
David lean is the definition of epic
Oh god, I seriously think this video, with themusic, is one of the best and most simply beautiful one you've ever made pal :=")!

You neeeed to make a Beauty of Atlanta
David Lean était l'un des grands, chacun de ses films étaient des œuvres plus grandes que la vie elle-même.
Wonderful movies, incredible stories of one of the greatest film directors of all time. This edition of "The beauty of" lived up to the beauty of cinematography and grandeur of David Lean's work. Congratulations!
❤
Can you please mention the Background score. Its really soothing
You need to do a video for Alex Garland's Devs miniseries. It's genius and nobody knows about it.
Some of the most incredible films ever made - and a stunning edit! Thank you so much for creating this beautiful art. ♥️

On this video
Beautiful edit❤️ really amazing 👍
Masterpiece!
1:25 movie?
Probably the greatest British filmmaker of all time (apart from maybe Alfred Hitchcock).
Kubrick🤔
@@Abdoy6710 Kubrick’s great as well, but he was American, though many of his films were produced in Britain
@@samuelbarber6177 all this time I thought he was British
Don't forget Emeric Pressburger and Michael Powell
@@Abdoy6710 Born and raised in New York, he moved to England because he hated working in Hollywood.
Please, from what movies are the trains at 2:39, 2:41 and 2:48. Thanks
2:41: Doctor Zhivago
2:48: A Passage to India
@@gabrielyong1796 Thanks a lot!
2:39 is Lawrence of Arabia
@@tathagatbanerjee2912 Thank you!
1:46 - 1:51 can you tell the title of the movie.
I think that's from Madeleine, or it looks a lot like it
RYAN S DAUGHTER is flabbergastingly GOOD. Just rewatched it ; needlessly declared a flawed 1. I hate critics, call em crickets. Lean s touch comes close to Zinneman s - in many respects. The era of cinematic geniuses is looong gone. 🇫🇮
Beauty of American Psycho plz
Where is video about amelie(
Did David Lean influenced James Cameron, Denis Villeneuve, and Chroé Zhao as well?
nostalgic feeling ❤

I'll admit that I only clicked on the video because of his name, but damn, these are some beautiful shots
His aesthetics was revolutionary
