      YES! Finally someone else who likes that film! I like 1 and Tokyo Drift the most, mainly because I enjoyed it actually being about car guys and car culture. The rest are just as they say, Avengers/Transformers with cars (althoug in the latter the cars don't even transform into robots).

    The Rock breaking his cast was actually the most believable thing about this movie, lol.

    Furious 7:
    I'm not gonna lie, it's gonna be hard to critique this movie knowing the tragedy of Paul Walker's death behind the scenes. But I'm gonna come out and say I enjoyed this film. It is a fun movie. I recommend it. The positives: the action is cool, there are some cool camera shots and some fun little cameos. But *swallows* I do have some negatives: The Rock is barely in the movie and Jason Statham feels a bit underused in this. But all that aside, Furious 7 is a fun action movie and the end of the film has a sweet sendoff to Paul Walker. (May he rest in peace.)
    Final Verdict: 8/10

      29AndreG I agree with you. The tribute to Paul Walker was amazing and a good touch to end the movie. I was also very disappointed that the Rock wasn't really in the movie. I don't really believe it's so much Jason Statham being underused as much as it feel like he was misused in the film as a villain. Going into the film, you were kinda thinking he was the main villain and he was gonna take revenge on the entire team that killed his brother, but it was really only Vin Diesel that he was targeting and nobody else (outside Han). Not to mention, there was another villain, the Somalia black mobster that just came out of nowhere. So I don't really feel like Jason Statham was underused. He showed up plenty in the film and the fight against Hobbs was pretty badass. There just wasn't a very strong villain presence in the movie.

    I'm with Korey on this. I'm ok with them doing ridiculous stuff with the cars, but when you have the Rock falling like 7 stories through a window with an explosion behind his back and onto a car.... he shouldn't be getting up from that like a week later.
    Then Jason Statham being completely fine after getting crushed by a parking garage. Then there's one part where Vin Diesel punches a car door full speed while fighting Statham and he's just cool with it. Not even a little like "ow that hurt".
    I mean, I get that it's supposed to be over the top, and I'm still a fan, but it is sad that they have no regard for human limitations anymore. I'm pretty sure I've seen Captain America show more pain when he's in an explosion, but whatever. I'll still be right there on opening night for Furious 8.

    Getting kicked, stomped, punched, or whatever in the vagina definitely hurts women. Don't think that because women don't have a penis or testicles that they don't get hurt when they get hit in the groin. And just like for men, if the hit is bad enough, it can get to the point where the woman falls down, gets in a fetal position, is unable to get up, throws up, and/or even needing medical attention. Just saying.

  • @leorolando1924

    Korey is right: Furious 7 is completely critic-proof.
    These movies are exclusively for people who watched Fast Five and said to themselves: "this is the dumbest fucking thing I've ever seen, and I love it".
    I'm 100% one of those people, and therefore the one reason I'm way into this franchise again is BECAUSE they went completely bat-shit crazy and did it smartly instead of building upon the first one.
    I won't blame anyone for preferring the first movie because of it's relative realism when compared to these new ones, but I'll say this: they're not making this franchise for you anymore.
    While there are completely valid complaints to be made towards the current state of this franchise, one must consider that these movies are pretty much like pro wrestling. You're either in, or you're out.
    And fuck it, I'm in. I loved every single stupid second of this dumbass movie.

      Curt Baboon Interesting and very agreeable points but, im still on the fence, i loved the fuck outta the 4th one, the chase scenes were epic, but its been less and less about cars, the only reason i watched 7 is because i want to watch paul walker one last time. But i really dont know about 8, i want to like it but i have a feeling its barely about cars anymore.

    • @shobin05

      ***** I agree on the retarded stunts part, however the part where vin diesel drove down the cliff is one of the only part in the film where it is actually not completely retarded.
      There is indeed a possibility of him surviving, there are rally cars today that have been driven off ridiculously large cliffs and the driver is able to survive and without a single broken bone.
      Now you could still argue nobody could survive that but compared to the rest of the stunts like the building jumping scene, and the 2 full throttle head on collision and the hilarious helicopter vs charger ending, I would say that scene seemed very "normal" lol

    • @shobin05
      @shobin05 9 років тому

      ***** I already said that it was plausible, never said I'm completely 100% sure he will survive.
      Also, racing drivers that had experience driving off a cliff was by accident, they were put in a position where they have no choice but to face it, so tell me why the hell should I do the same on purpose?
      Your question makes no sense.

    • @shobin05
      @shobin05 9 років тому

      ***** No it still didn't.
      Your question was that if I am "comfortable" if I were to do the same, of course anyone who has something worth living for would not feel "comfortable" having an accident on PURPOSE.
      Read your own comment and tell me what kind of dumb question is that?
      One would not feel "comfortable" having a 10kph accident leave alone driving off a cliff, but that doesn't change the possibility and the variables that someone could still be able to survive a big jump.
      If you strongly believe he would die in the crash then fine. I already said 3 times its plausible but never said that its impossible he would die.

    This whole franchise is strictly guilty pleasure escapism for me. This kind of stuff has been done better before, but for what it is, it'll do; some cool action scenes scattered around here and there; something to have playing in the living room TV while you're doing chores as background noise.

    I remember liking the 1st F&F movie, because it was something exciting & innovative in movies. I've watch all the others, but it's getting pretty repetitive.
    The reason the Rock is so huge now, is due in part to genetics, but mostly it's steroids. Hollywood actors use 'roids to get super buff, super quickly for movie roles. And let's not forget, Rock use to be a pro wrestler & they are infamous for using 'roids (I remember watching wrestling as a kid & wanting to be as buff as those guys, however, when guys like Hulk Hogan revealed they used 'roids I was like, ok, I get it now).

    • @BlackSuperman2099
      @BlackSuperman2099 3 роки тому

      @@tredagoat14 Indeed.
      Guys don't "naturally" continue to gain muscle mass like that at his age. I remember when folks used to argue that "Arnold" ( Schwarzenegger) got his physique because of his "superior genetics", only for him to reveal decades later that he took steroids (which was blatantly obvious to me, after I started working out & hearing about guys in the guy taking "steroids").
      I just think that w/ advancements in science, a lot of guys have found a "cocktail" that's not as harsh, more effective & not really detectable (or being screened for).

    For someone who hasn't seen any of the previous movies in the Fast and the Furious franchise, I got to say that Furious 7 did an outstanding job keeping the story going in a way that allows new viewers to follow from where things were left off in the last movie. Because of this, I was able to understand the plot of this movie, like the characters and enjoy the fun humor and the wild and energetic action scenes.
    Paul Walker is such a wonderful hero in this movie. He'll be deeply missed. 5/5 stars.

    The thing that pisses most people off about Bayformers isn't so much the ridiculousness because people expect that from him, it's that he never understood what made the characters enduring for the fans to the point where he could have made the movie without needing the name Transformers to sell it because he wasnt selling it to the people who wanted Transformers anyway. Looking at the FFurious franchise there was always a sense that car acrobatics, heists and stunts were something that was important but it never gets to "Transporter" levels of craziness, so I think this is still within a reasonable range for it's target audiance as it ratchets up the action over time.

    Fast and Transformers are both in the category of what I like to call "explosion/action porn". Just tons of action and explosions that just pump up the testosterone. But the difference between Fast and Furious and Transformers is that you actually sorta like the characters in Fast and Furious. You like Brian and Vin Diesel and the brotherhood that they have with each other since the first movie. Hobbs is just fucking massive and while his lines are cheesy as hell, he's fucking awesome. Kinda sad that you don't see Hobbs much in Fast 7. You like Han and hate the fact that he died. Roman and Tej are kinda of the annoying comedic relief of this movie, but they're not as annoying as the comedic relief in Transformed (the racist transformers). Transformers characters were just kinda meh. You don't really care too much about them because they don't bother to develop the characters in Transformers.

    Lucas Black is gonna come back for Furious 8 as part of the main cast. Its official now and will take place in New York (how the hell would that work?). And after seven, its only 8 and 9 left to complete this saga of cars, thieves, terrorists, spies, and jumping the fucking shark.
    Let me be honest here, I only saw Tokyo Drift when I was in high school. But I didn't give a shit. I only liked the actor who played Han. Then just last year I caught up with this storyline and how the third film took place after the sixth movie. So I saw part four which I did like, then I saw Fast Five and Furious 6, I felt that was a natural progression of things since if it stuck to just racing, it would have been boring as hell (Tokyo Drift proved that with the gaijin element, yakuza and how they gave a damn about racing...I mean really -_-).
    So yeah I liked Furious 7, however here's my question: If everyone was now superhuman and doing impossible stunts with cars and martial arts, how the hell will Lucas Black's character Sean Boswell fit in now? Being Drift King means jack shit now! Can anyone fill me in here how he might fit in with the craziness now?

    Tokyo Drift is actually pretty good (even Roger Ebert said so), but it's a car movie, not a heist movie. It kept the franchise alive until 4 made it big, 2 is the only bad one and it almost destroyed the entire thing, come on now! 2 fast 2 furious is hardly better than Biker Boyz.

    I guess I'm the only one that didn't really enjoy this film. The only thing that brought it down for me were the interactions between the chsracters. Wasn't enough for me. I also dislike the fact that nobody besides the rock and Vin interacted with Shaw... And Shaw was always popping out of no where whenever something was happening without any explanation as to why and how he knew where the crew was. And don't even get me started on some of the physics of the movie. It was a big let down because so many characters were underused and there weren't enough character interaction. I prefer the last two over this to be honest.

    I know all F&F movies are cliche, mindless, whatever but this one ESPECIALLY. I liked it only because I know what I was getting myself into but I wasn't quite aware a movie can be this cliche without being satirical. Great action, cool special effects, horrible acting (what's up with the over abundance of one liners in this fucking film?) very good ending I thought. I think the ending is what makes this movie officially "critic proof".

    It had to evolve, how many times are you going to want to watch a movie about drag racing over and over again? Was it crazy? Yes. Does it defy logic? Yes. Is it fun as hell? Yes. Some movies are just meant to be fun.

    No film is critic-proof. Your opinion on a film, positive or negative, is yours. But good on bringing attention to how a series like this could get a pass for its ridiculousness, whereas the Transformers films get crap all the time.

    I fit that premise.. I saw the 1st and didn't see the rest. I haven't even seen this one.
    I didn't like the 1st film at all.. It was like playing Need for speed for 2 hours and it getting boring in the 1st 30 minutes.

    Also, just gonna put this out there - I wonder how many people love the FnF movies lately, but also slate Michael Bay for just making dumb action movies?

    • @JigglesBunny
      @JigglesBunny 9 років тому

      Michael Bay movies are painfully bad and boring though, they don't even do dumb action well.
      Plus, for many people like me, Transformers was a childhood staple for me and the universe is actually fairly interesting and the character's personalities were fleshed out, his movies butchered that which is just another negative.

    So the only movie in this franchise that's actually about racing is the least liked.
    All these movies are some old bullshit.
    It's in the same realm of Transformers
