if you're a true pelican fan, there's no way you watch this video and it didn't give you a breath of relief! This guy brings confidence and tenacity to New Orleans! It's literally exactly what we need!!! It's a good day to be a pelicans fan!!!
So I’m a knick fan, but DJ5 is the definition of a real one. Check out his episode of All The Smoke, it’s phenomenal and you learn so much about him as a person.
I'm still a bit worried about all the good guys that left. A few to get Dejounté in, which hurt as Dyson and Larry were awesome to have. It hurts that we lost JV, despite him not actually fitting the basketball style NO wants to play, he was an amazing worker, incredibly reliable basketball player and just a great guy. Most of all it is going to hurt missing Naji. He is a true pelican style player, certainly one of the most tenacious of all pelicans. A creative guy, someone that got other players' backs in every way and someone I am very happy he landed on the Mavs, where he probably will get an increased role, potentially as a starter next to Luka and Kyrie. That said, if we can get a center somewhere that really fits .. and preferably not giving up BI for it, I'm really excited to see this new team with Dejounté in action.
I always liked him on Atlanta, despite him having not the best of fit there. I never watched him a ton on the Spurs, but he was a really good defender there, which gives me hope for his performance on the Pels.
By far our number one need has been a true playmaking PG. DJ is also a tenacious defender and rebounder when in the right culture. Slam dunk acquisition.
Pretty much. I much rather have a worse speaker and someone that proves it on the court. That said, it is a nice bonus that he says the right things :)
Let's pray for Ingram to actualy stay on the team, there is so much noise out there for him to be traded. I really hope they can play together. If Ingram can take some of his midrange shots a little more outside the threepoint line, it can probably work.
