You know, I also hadn't been to Uhuru park until a few years ago. Lamu and Mara, the same thing. I don't know why growing up the only place that felt like we should go to was Mombasa... at least that was the case in my family. It's only now in my adulthood that I get to explore different parts of the country and even then I recognise that it's one of the privileges of being in the line of work I'm in.

Hehe! I honestly have never considered myself artistic in the drawing sense. I think that bumble bee is the best thing I've ever drawn in my entire life. I can't explain it but it's made me re-think a lot of things about my creative journey. Also I'm so lucky to have Fatma and Patricia in my life. They're both such gems!
How ive waited for this vlog! I love your bumble bee drawing, youre actually pretty good. The reason why most of us (Kenyans) dont go to the Mara is coz its highly overpriced, i guess to suit int'l visitors which is just sad. If those lodges could come up with packages to suit most natives we would be swarming in like bees.
For me I think the secret is to book off season 1 and two book with a big company coz they get to enjoy economies of scale hence can get you cheaper deals. Like the last time I went to the mara budget camp we paid 13k per person sharing 2 nights inclusive of transfer, meals and game drives. Like you just need to carry extra money for your pocket money but 13k covers you.
Hi Sharon. I love your content and you look cute in that zebra dress. I was once almost attacked by a lion during a game drive because I was carrying a zebra looking bag. I think keeping away from any prints that look like a wild animal is safe for a game drive. I guess thats why rangers wear clothes that camouflage in that environment. Keep up the good work. 👌
True. They advise people to wear tan colors (browns) and greens. And intrestingly, to keep away from reds as the red tends to scare some animals off (I say interestingly since Maasais predominantly wear red)

You love notebooks, it's a great way to express thoughts and it's also a creative outlet that you could explore! Brush lettering is lots of fun too, currently trying to teach myself how to do that. 😊

Its true. Partly because we don't explore Kenya partly because the Mara and other places are predominantly marketed to foreigner's just that Covid forced hotels in the Mara to prioritize Kenyans

Or have packages for "off" seasons. They really should or save a certain percentage of accommodations for locals.
