For me, my rock bottom moment was when I got fired from Facebook back in 2006. Not only did I miss out on a $1B payout, but my entire identity was wrapped up in being a FB employee.
I was depressed and angry for months, but looking back, it didn’t have to be that way.
In this video, I want to share some tips you can use to get through hard times.

Thanks for sharing your story, Noah! This resonates so much with me right now. I was recently fired because I simply couldn't handle everything going on. I stopped doing my work, then after being fired, I could barely hold together a daily routine. I fell into a really dark place of despair. I realized I've had unresolved trauma and depression for over a decade that I'm finally getting treated for. Medication has a made a world of difference. Ready to get back in the arena.

This was a great video! Esp the part about writing your book and the uncertain feelings that come with that. I wrote a couple of books because I also was going through a lot and wanted to document what I was learning and just try to maybe help others. Really appreciated this video Noah! I think this is a really relatable experience for sooo many of us, and it doesn’t get enough discussion. It amazes me how similar your experience was to mine after I got fired from my “dream” job at the age of 29. It has really shaped me (even though there were years of serious depression/anxiety). We often tie a lot of our personal identity to our jobs (at least I did) and it can be really tough when you feel like that identity has been taken from you. Thanks a million for sharing this.
