Noah's vision as a beginner is really awesome. I think a big mistake entrepreneur do is trying to mimic (let's say) Uber day 23 000 000 instead of focusing on Uber day 1. If I got the video correctly, its: 1-boil your idea down to its essence 2-Validate it 3-Scale from the smallest place to start 4-Lose your ego haha

I think the barriers to entry are slightly higher for the businesses he mentioned. Also the competition is insane! For example, there are probably a dozen brands that’ve popped up for lined workout/lifestyle shorts (e.g. birddogs).

You can start a business anytime anywhere! Start out small and slowly grow as your business grows.
I think a bit of this is oversimplified. For example Uber; even before Uber, if you tried your idea of just telling people to call you and you’d link them, even outside of the logistical nightmare that that’d be, I don’t think it would work. I believe Uber was only a hit because of how convenient the app made it. Yes it allowed an easier entry for drivers. But if the Taxi companies had the same app at the same time, Uber would probably not have taken off.
My point is that sometimes ideas NEED an app or need tech to make it work. Especially in this day and age.

Most people are surrounded by naysayers. They don't have friends who will come over and pay for stuff.
It's unrealistic as fuck.
If you want to build a Uber business, you need to factor in why customers want to use your service instead of Uber? This is called competition.
Uber is a ride-hailing service whereas you only need to send out a location to the app, and drivers will come to you.
Noah's method is the old way of taxi companies, which are dying right now because Uber and Lyft exist.
Why would someone choose over a service that's not instant, not convenient, and not fast over something like Uber?
Plus the tech stuff, you're going to pay, to ask software engineers to build you an app that can handle your orders properly. And I'm not even asking someone over Fiverr to build me an Uber app, I'm simply asking to build a functional one. That's going to cost you $1000 - $2000.
None of this would work outside the US. Sorry. It's just the mentality that would kill all of these ideas instantly.
