@@butterflyindisguise3838 it would have to be advised by a teacher, and going to competitions on a weekly basis is something that i don’t think pretty much anyone would want to do just on a student’s will. it’s very frustrating because we used to have one but it disbanded bc not enough people joined

I got 3-4 awards through volunteering and service hours and all of these are clinical and medical related. Is that good for top schools? Or do I need to be in a competition, I'm a Junior rn.
Annoying and disappointing at the same time that students focus more on doing stuff TO GET IN rather than natural interest or passion. I know, we might think it’s a byproduct of the system. But those who can think MORE THAN GETTING IN are the ones who history remembers. Also, you don’t need to try to win awards. Just do your thing without expecting anything in return. Just putting this out there.
yeah, they may not show academic achievement but they show that you have interest in other things and that you are also really good art. Its usuall a good thing if you show achievement in not just academics but oher things too

You may look even at Hell testimonies of tarot card readers and yogists and Buddhists (a Buddhist man who was told by Buddha to **ll himself went to Hell) did not even believe in Jesus, but when they called upon the Name of Jesus, they were saved. Jesus died on the Cross to save you from your sins, to rescue you from thd pits of Hell destined for us as people who sin. Jesus saves. Just repent of your sin and give your life to Jesus.
ok but serious question do middle school awards even matter that much like how beneficial can they even be ( I mean maybe I could get far but I suck rn)
@velvet3813 it kind of depends on how prestigious the award is, I know that there are prestigious awards out there for middle schoolers like the 3M young scientist challenge
@@velvet3813Unless they are insanely prestigious national/international awards, nothing you do in middle school matters in high school. In the eyes of admissions officers, you were born in the first day of 9th grade.

u could start a science olympiad club at your school but mkae sure you do your research for tryouts for your club and how to get into competition
