Aussie here who used to work for WIRES, a native wildlife rescue service. I know and understand your kind intentions of giving food to a roo, but please don't do that again. Roos can and do become extremely aggressive at the wink of an eye, leaving you in need of numerous stitches at best , but most of all because it encourages the roo to go into the close vicinity of people for more handouts. These roos have become a problem, because they have and do learn that people, especially holding a bag, probably has food, which then has resulted in roos chasing young kids for the bag of chips / snack foods, and when the roo is denied food watch out guys. Not to mention that all of our natives will get violently sick with long term stomach issues due to not being able to digest people food. I realise you meant well, but please respect our native wildlife and understanding that in our case, you just mustn't feed any native animal anything , unless you're inside a wildlife park and purchased their product - If I'm coming across as mean, I'm sorry about that, I'm trying to educate you is my intention. We LOVE having tourists here enjoying all Australia has to offer. I hope you guys have a blast, welcome to you both (just no more trying to feed our natives ok)
