    Good job..i am senior citizen who just purchased a flat. I am now talking with Interior furnishers, but i was unable to comprehend the different materials available.     Surprising to see the mention of laminates having the gap. 7 years ago itself we got laminates for wardrobe sans the gaps.

      Unfortunately despite great edge banding technology, the joint lines are still visible in most factory finished works even today.
      Respect your opinion but that's the reality in terms of finishing as compared to other materials like veneers.

    13:49 Pooja, I am considering dark grey and white colour for my kitchen. Will acrylic be the best option. I don’t want it to be too shiny but look good and easy to maintain. Plus last for 15 years.

    Hi Mam, the Matalic sheet you talked about at 07:14 are they charcoal sheet. We can see the brand Laminato but unable to have any info on Google. Could you please help with any specific link. Thank you.

      Hi, they are metallic sheet and not charcoal sheets. But you may get the same design even in charcoal sheets.
      Metallic sheets are generally customised to order because it's made out of liquid metal. It's better to contact any interior finishes dealer for sourcing of the same.

      Hi Rishab, for wardrobes if you have the budget go for lacquered glass. laminates also is great option for all the areas you mentioned.

      Can't remember the exact color code. But it's a cementish tone, you can get it matched from acrylic catalogues.

      ⁠​⁠@@poojakothari05 you are saying the exact opposite of what my architect said. I wanted acrylic finish for my kitchen cabinets. But she said that in acrylic , the color fades over time but lacquered glass the maintenance is easy and the color will last. So I got champagne coloured lacquered glass for my bottom cabinets with rose gold profile handles and a matching colored veneer finish for my top cabinets. Wish I had come across your video earlier. That would have provided more clarity. On the upside my kitchen certainly looks good

      No problem. Can be used for wardrobes.
      But make note that acrylic surfaces are only scratch resistant and not scratch proof. So over a long period they may have scratches if not used or maintained well.

      None if you have termite problem.
      Go for aluminium and steel or get a termite treatment done and then opt for these materials.

    Hello Ms Pooja, great video.... the edges of laminate now a days doesn't make you feel or see the black line at the sideline of edges . Advance edge banding like homag, felder provide seamless look
    Being into the production line we do process all types of kitchen wardrobe vanity in modular house.

    Few questions:
    1) Does Acrylic come in shiny finish or can get in mat finish?
    2) Is Corian Acrylic different than other Acrylics (As of now I know Corian is brand name)
    3) Acrylic which seems to be like plastic, doesn't it has issues while using in kitchen, which has heated place compared to other rooms?

      Hi Shail,
      1) yes comes in matt finish too.
      2) Corian is a white material which passes light through it. It is artificially made.
      3) Acrylic these days come with 6H coating that makes it resistant to heat and scratches. If given a choice I would go for stone kitchen 😅

      No there is no problem if you use acrylics in kitchen wrt heat as well. But in case your too concerned, try lacquered glass only for those areas.

      You will need an overlay shutter of ply or mdf which can then be finished with any of the finishes referred in this video.
      Otherwise only painting is an option.

      Most finishes mentioned here are not waterproof. Some of them like pvc makes are water resistant.

      Most finishes mentioned here are not waterproof. Some of them like pvc makes are water resistant.

      Yes ofcourse but if it breaks, it breaks. It's more fragile than tiles for the application you are considering.

      Haven't come across such board yet for acrylic. You have a range with acrylic inlays though with glorio.

      Yes. It's technically also feasible. You can explore other materials like glass, mirror, acrylic too for transparent or reflective ceilings.

    Is lacquered glass, toughened . And do lacquered glass fit inside the profile perfectly..i have opted for lacquered for my sliding wardrobe...and booked for it..any disadvantages

      Aristo offer the best Lacquered glass wardrobe shutters. You need to be mindful of what sliding channel is supporting your lacquered glass profiles. And yes lacquered glass is toughened glass.

      The choice depends on the look you wish to achieve.
      If it's semi gloss- acrylic or laminate is better.
      Duco is generally done for a vintage look or feel of space.

    Should we not keep hair oil bottle ( usually Little oil leaks out somehow and create stains) is it harmful for sanmaica sheet? Should we avoid keeping our hair oils on it or is it ok? How to clean those stains?

      Oil bottles best kept are on glass or stone surfaces.
      Anywhere else with any other finish, depends from brand to brand on the stain reaction. Some pvc laminates don't absord the stain, but others do.

      Yes ofcourse, it will be good only. But I am personally not a fan of MDF until and unless it's PU finished.

    are louvers made of wodd? how do you cut then and insert a strip diffused light in it....
    also the cube rafter how do you paste them on ceiling plese say method

      Louvers are a component of wood & plastic.
      You can cut them to size. To fix lights, you will have to choose a louver that has a groove, which is where you place the strip light.
      Ceiling rafters will have to be installed by carpenters.

      Plywood based on your budget, you may choose between - neemply or century ply.
      This video should help you decide between laminates, acrylics and veneers for different spaces. Laminate being the cheapest available option.
