I love watching Andrea and you, Matt. You both make me smile. I started watching you while waiting a year for my hip replacement surgeries. It was also the time I talked my wife into finding a motorcoach for a decent price after we retire and spending the rest of our time together seeing the country. Unfortunately, this was around the time the world went to hell and rv companies went crazy for money, even though their products are falling apart before even being sold. It has truly turned into a sad statement on an already depressed society. Now we plan to build our own if we can't find a decent used 24 foot coach. Not a bad goal for two 62 year-olds! Hope to meet you both someday!
1) Why oh why did they not continue the backsplash over the counter area next to the range?? 2) what is that mess under the seats of the dinette? 3)Cabinet with the hinges on the wrong side of the door??? Great storage outside and inside.
Msrp is crazy these days! 2 years ago they were 120 msrp! Great review you two!! We looked at a fr3 but went with the entegra 30z we pick it up this weekend!! Can't wait!! We bought it after seeing your farm house review!!
This is a nice motor home. I like the sane things you like about it and my dislikes are the bunk over the cab and the cabinets the way they come down when you open them. I really don’t have a third dislike. Thank you Matt and Andrea!
Glad you're back with RV Reviews. Dislikes: smaller tires, no ladder (deal breaker), really?! a PPP with the door open.... good call Andrea on the pull down storage cabinet doors in living room. LIkes: King bed, pass thru storage, cabinet under dinette seating, kitchen, bunk area set up (although we don't need it, I like the design). Good floorplan for people with kids.
I enjoy watching these reviews. It's helpful with a large family to know if a motorhome is even an option knowing how many people it can seat with seatbelts.
Very nice entry level rig. Likes: 5000 towing CCC Dinette shape No carpet 🎉 Fridge, large sink Great counter space Flooring is gorgeous Bunk style No flip up master bed Dislikes: Overhead bunk with no window. Way too dark up there and bunk seems flimsy. Short awning No stinky slinky storage Storage under dinette Weird medicine cabinet in bathroom Only 1 nightstand in bedroom The way the cabinets open down. My kids would totally break those doors.
I rented one of these in 2021. The layout was great! But, the bedroom door kept falling off the runner! It was noisy driving down the road. All in all I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5.
I agree with your dislikes especially with the storage compartment door opening down. Also you really can't watch the TV across the bunks when the motorhome is moving because there is very little room when the slide is in. Last of my dislikes, I think the MSRP is too much. My Entegra is better with a lower msrp.
I certainly agree with your likes and dislikes. Additional likes: Rear outside storage, automatic transfer switch, and the generator is in a good location. Additional dislikes: Decals that are going to fall off in a few years, small 19.5” wheels, and no ladder.
Bought the 2021 version of the 33DS model last year and it's pretty solid. Not a lot of head space with the cab bunk, but it's cozy and usable. Crazy how much more money they are now.
Are you happy with FR, your model? Things you are not happy? Any complaints with the manufacture? Is there a website for Forest River to hear what others think about them?
@@twobitranchh It's a little rough around the edges but, overall, it's fine and we've yet to have any catastrophic issues. However, even though we paid $113K for a motorhome instead of $500K+, Forest River should still make quality improvements in multiple places. For example, with the AC in the bedroom, it continues to put out A LOT of sawdust, little bits of foam, etc., even after thousands of miles of driving and many hours of usage. It only happens after driving for a day, but clears up after a minute or two of letting the air blow out of the ducts. The front AC never does this.
The things I like 1. the storage 2. the bunk 3. the master bedroom the three things I don't like 1. the bunk of the cab 2. the drop doors 3. the bottom bunk.
For 170k+ MSRP, could they have used a sanding drum on the under dinette storage? That is just a splinterfest waiting to happen. I do like the bunk area as extra seating while traveling.
Only problem I have with the refrigerator is the condensation drain bowl. It's really small and water can spill onto the floor while driving, possibly causing damage later on.
Only other dislike I saw was the backsplash should go all the way to the edge. Not stop at the edge of the stove. I agree with those drop down doors though. Would change them for sure
'Tesseract', 'Not to be a conspiracy theorist BUT...' 😄 (I think the 'bunk' over the cab is more for storage (that's what it looks like to me) Relative to my husband and me, this would be great.
Really nice RV. I hate those overhead cabinets, I think they were trying to be cheap so they didn’t need to add shocks. Also, this should be around $120,000 MSRP, not $175. Prices are crazy!!
Totally agree... you can visually see a lot of "cutting the corners" on this RV and at that price, wow, unacceptable, but the floorplan and storage is well thought out.
LIKE THE KITCHEN THE DINETTE THE BATHROOM THE STORAGE DON’T LIKE THE BOTTOM BUNK BED THE MASTER BED SIZE IT NEEDS TO BE QUEEN SIZE BED NO NIGHTSTAND ON THE OTHER SIDE THE BUNK OVERCAB
Great video you guys. My wife and I prefer your channel over ALL OTHERS. We looked at an FR3 without bunks last summer when we decided to trade in our 2014 Forest River class C that we used extensively and absolutely loved. Ultimately we went with a Winnebago Vista but the FR3 was a close second. We love Forest River products and 3 of our close travel companions own FR products. Three things we love about the FR3: Great CCC- better than our Winny Great storage Very spacious Dislikes: Hated the OVERHEAD CABINET DOORS. Opening down?!! Come on. Under dinette storage openings! Looks cheap. What else did you cheap out on Third- did not like the overhead bunk AND YOU NEED AN EXTERIOR LADDER A general note: we loved the quality of our 2014 Forester. When looking at the FR3 our opinion is we were disappointed with the built quality. Maybe it was the individual coach we saw. But for similar money, we went with the Winnebago. THANK YOU AGAIN. Love your videos
Love the couch for bunks. Love the king size bed. Love the refrigerator and pantry. Don't like the overhead bunk way to small doesn't hold much. Don't like no washer and dryer at least a combo were the dresser drawers are. Don't like the cabinet doors
i would replace mirror over cab with another tv/monitor, many reasons.... ... bunk over cab i could keep, never use it, good enough if need it. back bunk room, looks like a storage shelf over another couch for the ps5 or xbox room to me.
Insane price! Bought the 2021 32DS which is the same and even has a ladder 😂 for $106k December 2020. Got offered more than I paid for it last month but declined. Initial quality is sus, but for the money it’s worth it. Maybe not at 170k though.
Love the new curved cockpit and useful workspace for the passenger, curved dinette, under bed drawers; Hate the pull-down cabinet doors, tv placement looks dangerous and in the way, and stupid ugly cutouts under the dinette instead of drawers, kitchen counter extension could be a head-banging hazard for kids.
Hi Matt & Andrea~! Great review as always. :) Don't know if this counts, but the blueprint you showed reads 'Thor Geneva 28VA' . Is that the same RV with a different name?
Hey guys great review, the likes and dislikes I agree with your choices.... But,,, I cannot help but notice in the kitchen I did not see any outlets???? Then it seemed when I reviewed the video the outlets were missing from many areas they were needed, bunk areas, etc....
Real comments: (lol) For that price: Dislikes - 1.. Continue the backsplash the full length of counter and up to cabinets. 2. One or two spice/pantry, narrow, long pull outs would be expected. 3. Where is the trash bin? Likes: 1. Kid area is nice new idea instead of "are we there yet"! 2. Bath 3. Refrig
Question. Why is a porcelain toilet better than a plastic one and why do you care so much? Does it last longer? Given a prime position, isn't a pooper just a pooper?
Oh, lord, imagine putting something under the benches in the dinette, and it tumbles past that plywood barrier. You’ll NEVER reach it. I’d like to understand the reason that’s the way it is instead of having a big drawer. I noticed the cabinets over the bed also open down like that as well. That’s probably even worse because it’s already awkward to get to those cabinets. (By the way, you didn’t tell us what was on the left side of the bed (if you’re lying in it). Is there a spot to put a phone and plug it in? Book space? Otherwise it’s a lot of space and not a bad layout for a level one.
Dislikes I agree with both of you on your dislikes, also who ever the carpenters were, must’ve been drunk when working, under the dinette was sloppy for starters, the designers of the interior must’ve had a bad day starting at home. Matt even with this one being a entry level it gets an F. The dealership there should’ve cleaned it up on the inside first thing, also that one has a sold sign on it, the new owners has my sympathy for buying it
Dislikes: 1) The storage under the dinette seating is bad. I hate the doors. You have to get down on the floor and still can't reach the back. Just make it a piano hinge lid so the entire storage is easy to access. 2) Not a fan of the bunks. The bottom one is meh. Take it out and put in a dresser for more storage. Leave the top one so you have it if needed. Over the cab seems like an afterthought with the weight limit. beef it up and the rear bunks can go away. 3) King Bed.. nice that they put it in but I want to see a Cal King so us tall people can actually sleep properly. That will be my permanent dislike when they put king beds in. Likes: 1) Overall.. the floor plan is good. It flows nicely. 2) Dinette (minus the storage) 3) The bathroom is nice. Good shower and storage. Improvement - You could even do away with both the rear bunks, move the sink / vanity over to that side, and that would give the toilet and shower more room. Put in a sliding door to close of the bathroom and bedroom for more privacy.
At 00:15 the floor plan animation indicates it is a model 28VA but just a few seconds later Matt says it is a 32DS. Which is it? At 00:18 the animation indicates the shower is 26 x 38 but at 16:15 Matt indicates it is 36x24. again, which? Dislikes: 1) No drawers under the dinette; 2) no seating with even a mediocre view of TV; 3)Magic Chef is a cheap-ass brand; 4) propane refrigerator. Likes: 1) Good (not great) tow capacity for an entry-level gas motorhome; 2) over cab bunk; 3) Sink is nice for this smaller motorhome; 4) bed is actually almost an actual King; 5) storage behind the TV is nice.
The "2022 THOR GENEVA 28VA" at 00:15 is the wrong title for the floor plan since the Thor is a Class C, but the floor plan shown is the Forest River FR3 32DS. There is also a clue about the motorhome model on the windshield. According to the floor plan and the manufacturer's website, the shower is 26x38.
What a high price. The loft bed is small. The doors to the cabinet pull downward. Will get broke and NO doors under the seating at the table. Unfinished looked bad. Should have done a walk around and noticed no ladder. Would have liked to see the roof.
I'm sorry, and feel free to delete this but an RV company finally figured out how to make sure the men come running with their checkbooks handy... Just label their new model a 32D. 🤣 I know that was terrible, I really am a good person... 😂.
fire the guy that designed and signed off on those cabinets. its nice - but it's also a death trap - Andrea couldn't walk to back with the slides in - now imagine 4 ppl back there and a fire in the front. YIKES !
Why cant the manufactures clean their sawdust and debris up...Typical Forrest river lack of QA Dislikes: Storage under the Dinette is Crazy, couldn't have spent another 2.50 to put some lightweight drawer there that would break later ? No shelving in the kitchen cabinets, wasting lots of space that could be used/ opening from the top,,, stupid Bunk over cab is too small/ but you can drive No ladder Connected power cable Likes: Kitchen Sink Nice fridge Bathroom bedroom is nice
It's probably from the driving. I put 8,200 miles on a new 2021 33DS and it sawdust continues to pour out of locations after driving all day. I figured it's just the way it is.
Am i the only one that joins in on the “Portable, Portable” every video keep up the great work Matt… “Here We go Now”

MSRP is insane for this level. I'd say at least $40-50K over what is reasonable.
with discounts of an average of 20-30 percent thats 35-50 off so right on your price
I think you guys you are convincing me to buy an RV and Andrea hair looks fantastic your color was great
Nice unit. Prices went up so crazy. I like all the storage on it. Valences are cute. Tv is in a great place. Good bathroom.
I cant believe you hit 170 k congrats I’ve been subscribed since you were at 28 k subscribes cant wait for you to hit 1 mil
Absolutely love the kitchen with all the counter space. An outdoor kitchen would make this my #1 class A gas motorhome.

Exactly! We’ve put the pause on getting a class A because it’s just so insane. We were really impressed by the entregra at the Hershey rv show.
My jaw dropped at the MSRP. Are they kidding? It's the low end FR not even the GT7...
WOW THAT PASSED THE TIRE TEST 👍

It was great meeting you at the TPA show last week. Thanks for your advice and unbiased information. 🙏
Thank you so much Pete!
And the puzzle piece valances, Matt Foxcroft......woooohhhh
It's cute how they live in Florida but need winter jackets :)
I love this motor home. Great value. I think I would prefer a queen size bed and slide with a 30" wide shower.
MHSRV Rocks! Give them a plug!
Also, $139k there in Alvarado, TX

The rough cut in the storage under the dinette is awful!
It really limits its usefulness. The cushions and wood are removable but it's a pain. A sliding tray would be an improvement.
Matt, is it possible the supply chain issues have no more cabinet supports and they did the cabinets that way because of it?

A lot of construction debris throughout the coach. Seems as they are cutting corners with cleanliness or manufacturing inspections.
