  • Many of you (and many athletes!) asked, following the success of the Korean Challenge, to do something similar with Finnish... well, we heard you all and played along with some familiar faces of the biathlon world, with Kaisa Mäkäräinen as the final judge to the skills of those who tried.

    can she speak swedish? some people in finland also speak swedish, its like 10% of population that speaks swdish.

      5% of the population speaks Swedish as their native language

      But they teach everyone in school to speak swedish

      Actually almost everybody speaks Swedish there to some degree, because everybody learns it in school and Finland is “bilingual”.
      For example on road signs there is always the Finnish and the Swedish version

      @@leonie6160 Have you ever been outside of the coastal finland? 90% of Finland does not have swedish road signs, only coastal cities that have swedish speaking people.

      @@leonie6160 Road signs are both in Finnish and Swedish only in the coastal regions.

      Actually it seems it depeds what's your native tongue. I know a Japanese guy who says for him Finnish was easier than English, when starting from zero.
