Well, well, well, Captain Zero's little Zebby. XD It's totally understandable why anyone would love Zebedee's complex character. I do, too, honestly! I could see Zebedee, Ten Cents, and Sunshine making up a rag-tag protagonist trio for a future episode... Too bad TUGS was cut short, imagine the character depth that is probably hiding in those 96 scripts! Great work as always, sir! 👍
Another potential counterpart to Zebedee would be D261 a.k.a. Class 40. Even though D261 is a diesel who sides with diesels against steam engines, he has little to no malice in him, compared to Diesel or Diesel 10. Plus, in the magazine stories, especially "The Big Hero" and "Heavy Load", D261 is revealed to be good hearted deep down, as he does help steam engines out of bad situations, much like Zebedee in "High Winds".
Fun fact...due to an error in a tugs board/card game (i dont remember which it was) zebedee was labeled as a star tug, i cant remember if it was a confirmed fact or not but i believe an interveiw mentioned that star actually did own zebedee even though he worked for zero....interesting trivia
I've recently came across your channel and I have also binge watched all of your videos, and I must say that they are quite entertaining. I'm especially fond of these Tugs character profiles that you've been doing; I don't see many people actually going in depth on the characters in Tugs as opposed to just the show itself. So it's nice to see someone filling in that category. I hope to see your channel grow in the future because I've only known it for a few hours and I'm already impressed with it despite you not having many videos at the moment. Your editing is good and nice to see you dolve into both Thomas and Tugs content. I have subscribed to you and I'm excited to see the more videos that you have planned for your channel; both with Thomas and Tugs. Also while I'm typing this comment, I would just like to give out my quick thoughts on Zebedee. He's definitely one of my favorite characters in the show and my favorite of the Z-Stacks only second to Zip. High Winds is a great episode for its development on Zebedee as a character, and it makes me wish that had the show continued, it would've dolved into the other Z-Stacks and develop them a little more like Zorran or Zak for example. But I'm still happy with what we got given that the show only lasted for 13 episodes.
Thank you Sammy that means a lot! Glad you're enjoying the content 😊 I hope you continue to enjoy the rest of it! It would have been to get more Z-Stack focused episodes, but hey at least we got something 😉 Thanks again, hope you find the new content enjoyable!
I think that Zebedee helped out the Stars in *High Winds* was because his mind was all over the place, what with Johnny Cuba's threats and the thought of Captain Zero sinking him if he found out that he had been helping him do his dirty work. If it was a normal day, then he probably wouldn't have helped the Stars. Also, EN2's iceberg video suggests that it was Zak who rammed the steel rig into the bridge because he couldn't stop in time due to his faulty engine, but the crew forgot about this when they filmed it.
Zebedee is my favorite TUGS character because of how relatable he is (especially in High Winds) A cookie with a rough outside but a soft inside (Yes that is how I describe Zebedee, mainly as a pun or play on the "tough cookie" saying. However, it isn't wrong.)
Another thing I noticed about Zebedee is that he only pipes up to the Stars when he's with Zak or Zorran. See the episodes Pirate, Warrior, High Tide, and the 20-minute version of Regatta. In fact, other than High Winds, those are the only episodes where he speaks.
Exactly! I'm planning on doing a mlte in depth on why Zebedee is my favourite Z-Stack in a few months, and this is absolutely one of the points I want to bring up!
Zebedee really is proof that bad guys can be good guys. And he's my favourite Z-Stack, too.

Agreed, seeing the three together would have been awesome!
Thanks KDW 😊
Those unused scripts could have at least been released as books!
@@ciarangleeson2880 Or made into Trainz videos.

Well you learn something new everyday. Didn't know that about class 40!
I was watching Gravity Falls best of videos and this was sandwiched between two.
Zeb is such an interesting guy! From jamming steel rigs under bridges to helping the Star Fleet, also nice vid!
Fun fact...due to an error in a tugs board/card game (i dont remember which it was) zebedee was labeled as a star tug, i cant remember if it was a confirmed fact or not but i believe an interveiw mentioned that star actually did own zebedee even though he worked for zero....interesting trivia
That is interesting, maybe he was actually planned to officially join the Stars
Who knows? Maybe the two fleets would even merge into ONE fleet at some point!
Hold on, stop the presses. there a card game?

I saw that video before. If they hadn’t been mixed up, we might have seen Zebedee’s good side early on and Zak get more fleshed out.
Zebedee has always been my favourite character.

As a kid I couldn't help but to keep thinking of the character Zebedee from the Magic Roundabout when his name was spoken in Tugs

'wel look who's here, the Z stacks hero'
Interesting character!
Indeed!
IMO Hurricane is a good counterpart, he's manipulated by evil to do bad things too.
Think Zebedee remains me of Bulgy Or Diesel Zak probably reminds of George or D261/The Diesel from S4's Bowled out.
I love Zebedee and he is a prime example of a anti hero and he along with Zorran he is one of my favorite Zed stacks
What about grampus? he's a member of the star fleet
He'll get his own in time, gonna finish up the Z-Stacks first
If there was a season 2, I feel like Zebedee would’ve joined the stars. Best Z stack, no competition.
I'd choose 87546 as Zebedee. And also I'd choose Alfred as Zak.
Zebedee is my favourite Z-Stack too!
Zak - Arry
Zebedee - Bert
Yay! :D
Zebedee he Is my favorite from the z stacks and he remember me the BoCo vertion from him
They're actually horns not whistles
Wait Is Zebedee A Good Guy? 🤨 0:04
Zebedee was good in salty's lighthouse and went by zb
I like the z tugs
Cheryl b24 love ❤
Who voices him?
