  • Kraków is the second-largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland! Kraków’s Old Town with Wawel Royal Castle was declared one of the first UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the world.
We spent time in Kazimierz, Kraków’s Jewish Quarter, and ate the most amazing ice cream. Try Good Lood for yourself! Is it the best ice cream you’ve ever had?
We finished our day in Kraków by visiting the Wieliczka Salt Mines. The Wieliczka Salt Mines is now an official Polish Historic Monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Wieliczka Salt Mines are extremely impressive, they have everything from a functioning church to a restaurant! Don’t just take our word for it, we’d highly recommend that you check out Wieliczka Salt Mines yourself!

There are no crowds because May 3 is a day off and if you go in the afternoon it is lunch time and the Poles eat lunch at home.

Enjoyed your video. So much sightseeing in one day!
    Krakow looks spectacular, as always!
You got to visit two places, Krakow and Wieliczka, that were inscribed on the first ever Unesco World Heritage list back in 1978.
I love zapiekanki, Polish pizza-like streetfood. Brings back childhood memories (I moved to the States about 30 years ago.)
I might be wrong, but I think you can enter the Wawel Cathedral for free. It is gorgeous inside. The tombs of many Polish kings, queens and a few other important citizens can be seen inside.
St. Mary's Basilica in the market square (there is a fee to enter) is gorgeous too. Btw, the beautiful Wawel Castle courtyard is free to view.
Yes, Copernicus studied at the Jagiellonian University. This is one of the oldest universities in Europe. Again you can see the courtyard for free. Interestingly, the oldest known globe showing the new world is located at the Jagiellonian University museum.
Finally, it's good that you got to visit Kazimierz as well. What a great historical neighborhood. You mentioned Schindler, of course. I think it is also important to mention Żegota Polish organization to aid and save Jews during German occupation during WWII. Zegota did a tremendous job saving Jews. In fact, Poland was the only country in German occupied Europe where such a government established underground organization existed.
You can also look up Irena Sendler, a Polish Catholic woman who saved a great number of Jewish children.
    Looking forward to another video.

If you want to party, go to the Jewish quarter not city center.
Go to Auschwitz-Birkenau. It's something that can't be missed. You can register for a guided tour ($20) or do a self guided tour for free. We recommend the guided tour it was well worth the money. Whatever you decide you have to register online.
Getting there can be tricky if you want to use public transport. You can pay more to a tour company to take you there and back.
The salt mines are also something that shouldnt be skipped.
Public transport is affordable and very easy to use there's an app called Jakdojade that you can download.
Eat tons of polish food for us, we are seriously missing it!

You guys you should travel via North America or Australia or Africa as you don’t have appreciation to history and you make the vlogs boring!
