Kick scootering (I'm not sure if this is the correct word) is relaxing and fun. It's certainly better than walking. And can be good cardio, too (without hurting your joints). Also the posture is more natural (and healthier) if compared to the posture on a regular bicycle. I have more kick scooters. (Since I don't have kids I buy toys for myself.) This one (which is not just a toy) has got double suspension (front and back) and it is the fastest one that I have. It's not easy to fold/ unfold, though. This is Oxelo Town 7 XL (the old model) from Decathlon and the cheapest kick scooter that I've bought.

True! But tell that to a little boy who pointed his finger at me while I was riding this scooter and shouted to his father: "Look! That's an old man riding a kick scooter!". LOL Unfortunately most people of any age (at least in my country) consider not proper and sometimes funny (or even worse) for an adult to ride a kick scooter/ push scooter, any more / when becoming mature. Some people consider too weird or crazy or, simply, immature or just stupid to ride a scooter if you're not a kid. Of course, they've probably never tried to ride a scooter after getting a bicycle (or a "superior" vehicle) and lose all the fun. Sometimes, even owners of electric scooters feel too ashamed to use mechanical propulsion just to avoid unwanted reactions from the others... I've got more scooters. I like them. I ride them a lot. And I appreciate people who understand the utility of a "manual" scooter. I'm glad when I see other people of any age who ride scooters and consider this normal. Thank you, by the way. Nu ai idee cat de mult apreciez acest video, este un live demo perfect!! Cautam sa vad cum suna trotitena asta pe trotuar pe tot youtube-ul insa toti puneau muzica pe fundal. Ai putea sa imi spui daca a rezistat ok cu timpul? In UK vad ca decathlon recomanda trotineta asta pentru un uz scurt de vreo 2 mile/3.2 km, si cam atat ar trebui sa parcurg eu pentru a face naveta pana la lucru sau la sala. Am niste probleme la calcaie de la alergat si mi s-a recomandat sa reduc din mersul pe jos cat timp ma recuperez. Insa cum stau in afara orasului si totul e destul de departe de mine nu prea am incotro, si nici conditii bune nu am sa tin o bicicleta.
Multumesc. Este trotineta pe care am utilizat-o cel mai mult si o utilizez inca, desi am in prezent mai multe trotinete. Se misca cel mai bine (ruleaza pe o distanta mai lunga), are platforma suficient de joasa ca sa nu oboseasca prea tare piciorul care sta pe platforma si are suspensii bune. Este fiabila. Nu am avut probleme cu ea. Este important sa fie utilizata in mod corect pentru a reduce oboseala (gasirea unei inaltimi optime a ghidonului, o pozitie confortabila a corpului, schimbarea periodica a piciorului utilizat la impingere, pozitionarea lui mai in fata sau mai spate, in functie de acceleratia dorita, circulatia cu o viteza mica pentru a nu obosi, plasarea ambelor picioare pe platforma in paralel sau unul in fate si altul in spate, alternarea acestor moduri etc.). La inceput este obositor, chiar si sa parcurgi numai 1-2 Km. In timp devine tot mai relaxant. Eu parcurgeam in mod frecvent distante de peste 10 Km. Este categoric mult mai relaxanta decat mersul pe jos, daca inveti cum sa o folosesti, nu urci in rampa si nu ai vant din fata. Dupa cativa ani am invatat sa fac si carving. Combinand aceasta tehnica (aparent mai ciudata) cu mersul normal pe trotineta se reduce si mai mult efortul. Cel mai important (mai ales la inceput) este sa circuli cu viteza mica. Altfel obosesti prea repede si nu poti deprinde mersul corect. Succes!
Completare: In videoclipul din link-ul de mai jos este momentul in care am descoperit cum sa fac carving. Intre timp am mai imbunatatit tehnica. Altii care au incercat nu au reusit. Ma bucur sa aud ca a ta inca merge, multi m-au speriat aici ca trotinetele astea s-ar strica repede si ca mai bine sa reconsider o bicicleta. Sper insa cu un uz corespunzator sa ma bucur de ea ceva vreme. Am vazut video-ul cu carving, tehnica o cunosc de la un coleg de facultate de aici care avea o trotineta speciala pentru acea miscare, Trikke. Ti-am dat si subscribe de altfel ca am vazut ca mergi si pe monociclu! Acum ca nu mai pot sa alerg si sa ma deplasez prea usor pe doua picioare cat ma recuperez mi-am propus si eu sa incerc deplasarea pe diferite tipuri de roti; pentru moment incep cu trotineta. I'm sorry. I don't own 9EF v2. But I think it is the best (it combines what's good on both the old 9EF and Town 7 XL and also they made some improvements). Between 7XL and 9EF v1 I prefer 7XL.

Riding a kick scooter is always better than walking as long as you learn how to ride alternatively with your dominant foot and your non-dominant foot. The one in this video is fast and have good suspensions for both wheels, but it's difficult to fold/ unfold and it's not too silent. A more expensive model, but very similar is Micro Suspension (only if you want it to be less noisy). I didn't buy the Micro kick scooter. Nu este prea silentioasa, dar nici foarte zgomotoasa. La versiunea pe care o detin eu, pe roata din spate nu exista suspensie, ci doar un amortizor oarecum ineficient - axul rotii este infasurat intr-un material elastic (probabil cauciuc) care reduce prea putin din trepidatii cand o rulezi pe un drum chiar si numai cu usoare denivelari sau cu asfalt "zgrumturos". La versiunea a doua exista suspensie sub podea. Deci, daca vrei acest model, atunci iti recomand a doua versiune care este relativ recenta (in unele magazine se gaseste doar versiunea veche sau sunt disponibile ambele versiuni). Eu am testat noua versiune doar in magazin, insa pe suprafata de rulare din magazin testul nu este concludent. Versiunea noua are si un mecanism de pliere a manerelor mai bine pus la punct.
