Cars make the streets unsafe, noisy and unpleasant to be in. It gives you freedom to travel at the expense of your surroundings. Walking and cycling have the same level of freedom, if not higher, just for shorter distances. Some of towns have gone overboard with prioritising cars to the extent that people can do barely anything without using a car. They can't even walk to the grocery store or let their children walk to school. Having the option to use a car is freedom, having no other viable option than to use a car is not freedom. People's ability to walk to places should always have the priority in city design, followed by cycling.

Interesting to see JP talk in a more casual manner. I enjoy his intellectual personna but this strikes me as more authentic and reminds me of my own speech and internal monologue.
I love Jordan Peterson and also watch the Kick off but do not think they two worlds need to meet. Kick off is more soccer commentary and not sure they have the depth to have a super interesting interview with the ones we have come accustomed to for JP. Not trying to throw shades at Kick off because i love watching their shows but it just seems like an old pairing in my humble opinion
You can compartmentalise certain parts of your personality. The Kickoff can be a very good show AND True Geordie can have respect for political hacks like Jordan Peterson who’s paid by the Daily Wire (funded by oil barons) to further their agenda by appealing to disenfranchised, lonely men who are crippled by the effects of right wing policy in US and the U.K.
Not just that, but from esteemed professor delivering incredibly lucid lectures, to now hawking BS essay-hacking software to line his son’s pockets (just read and write more lazy students), and dubious alliance with his clearly troubled daughter…. I guess fame and $$ corrupts. Never enough.
If you use it sparingly, it gives it more weight, it you use it all the time (some people use it as punctuation) it loses all effect; like crying wolf, the more people cry victim, the sooner real victims will be ignored - a dangerous situation.
I was caught off guard about the car 😂 he is right about how the American dream was buying a car and just driving anywhere you want. Now gas is so expensive you are limited

@@davidbudzynski4847 Jordan Peterson has always been a vessel through which to push Republican politics to disenfranchised young men. The very politics that put these men in such desperation is the politics JP is pushing on them.
JBP is wrong on the cars one. The "hate automobiles" is only when they are almost the only choice of transport in a city. It is Pro-Choice on Transport vs anti-choice. Less traffic even makes it BETTER for those that do want to drive (see Not Just Bikes video on it). Compared to places like The Netherlands that Not Just Bikes shows, they are dangerous, roads cost far more to maintain, they make otherwise quiet cities noisy & smelly. And again, less traffic congestion for those who do drive.
About the social media comment how it changed, what I find really odd is that when it first came out I recall telling the people I work with that the Face book is only trouble, and the reply was that I was F,ing stupid it is great nothing could possibly be bad its harmless just a way to keep in touch. Years latter guess I am not so stupid.
Yep, that' exactly the goal of EV's. Programed to restrict where you drive, not exceed the speed limit, and disabled based on your social credit score.
The government doesn’t have to track everything a person buys. People are doing it voluntarily through the apps that offer a discount. Canada has one where they want you to enter every receipt for everything you buy.
Peterson, once again, spot on. He's getting more and more outspoken, and rightly so. I got a recent 2021 car and I hate it. Way too much interference in the name of my own safety - to the point of being dangerous already. And if I can remote start my car, who's to say someone else (the government) can't disable it?

As if I didn't already admire him, I couldn't agree more about the cars. For so many it's not just about necessity and utility but autonomy and freedom. As soon as they get our cars, they limit ALL of our mobility. I know it's already coming; OnStar, self-driving, BMW subscription based options. It's a horrifying prospect, but I'll be sure to keep my analog sports car for quick escapes.

Jordan doing an excellent Mickey Mouse voice!!! But in all seriousness, he’s right… and I believe pre 2025 (maybe older) cars will become extremely valuable to those who wish to keep away from total system integration
Do you mind expanding on that?
@@iryaniedit2317 I’m my opinion, cars from 2015ish onwards have increasing ability to be tracked, read road signs, drive autonomously.
If the State starts to implement autonomous control of vehicles, I think older less technical vehicles will become really desirable and sought after.

There is an element of truth in every joke!
Depends if the joke is supposed to be offensive or make a point, bill burr is classified offensive but its only because people don't wanna hear the truth eg feminism is cancer which is is, its original purpose of feminism is suppose to bring the genders closer together but modern feminism is just driving us apart, i.e men hating psychos. However people are using their comedian roles to be offensive for the sake of it eg there's a youtube channel about a comedy club for far right crap, one person says people start mass shootings are bullies so lets arm the bully victims to finish them off. i mean wtf? thats not dark thats just evil, and you wonder why there's serial killers out there
A statement that sums up Jordan Peterson perfectly, I think. There’s an elemental of truth to him, but he’s a joke.
@@miniman2132 In what sense is he a joke?
@@2490debrick in the sense that he advocates strongly for free speech whilst filing defamation lawsuits against his detractors.
In the sense that he is against tyranny but advocates for enforced monogamy.
In the sense that he thought that only eating steak would be a good diet but then got gravely I’ll from drinking apple cider.
In the sense that he told millions of young men how to live their life before becoming hooked on benzos.
In the sense that he expressed to millions of people on Twitter that he couldn’t bash one out over a model who was a little too heavy for his liking because magazines were attempting to redefine what beauty is, blissfully unaware that magazines had been doing this for their entire existence before that issue.
In the sense that he is getting paid not enough money to by Daily Wires oil barons owner to say climate change doesn’t exist but too much money to follow what all the science tells us is fact.
What me to go on?
It's so weird hearing him use such coarse language...lol.
I had my AC set at 78. It was 78 in my house. The humidity was unbearable. I set the AC to 77 so that it would run and pull some of the humidity out of the air for a few minutes. I stood there and watched the screen. Without the air coming on, the screen switch the temp to 77. The AC lied. I was furious; but hey, at least I didn’t have to pay to run my AC.
I live in Phoenix and my dad will lose hia shit if i turn the air below 83 degrees inside.

Here is a good one for you. I bought a home last year and I couldn’t figure out for the life of me why the AC shut down at 2PM even though the house did not reach the desired temp. Thought this was clickbait. Boy was I wrong. You always learn ftom Jordan.
So what did you learn?
Centralized Control Systems Suck, as a car lover I 101% agree with Jordan Peterson.
God, I love Jordan.
We need people like Jordan to keep us awake of whats going on!
Always been a fan of JP but he’s overexposed now, trotting out the same stuff on any old podcast.
Definitely.
They put the Top G’s car in the thumb nail 😂
Peterson is getting really at ease with his appearance in these interviews!🤩🤩
I can count the number of times in 10yrs I've heard him use the F word on one hand, and damn does he get good mileage out of it.
If you use it sparingly, it gives it more weight, it you use it all the time (some people use it as punctuation) it loses all effect; like crying wolf, the more people cry victim, the sooner real victims will be ignored - a dangerous situation.

Bloody Awesome..getting better and more real by the day...
Mr Peterson I enjoy so much listening to you! Greetings from Greece 😊
That was so damn refreshing, no fear, thanks!!!!

Love when Jordan talks like he's in the local tavern 🤙🏻
I recently moced into a new house. Got the first gas bill from summer. I used precisely ZERO units of gas. The bill was over $31.
JP is an absolute beast!
The way he describes a car. Unknown!! I'm Impressed, again!🚗
This is probably the most outspoken and carefree i have seen Peterson in a while, where can I watch the rest?
