So a scientist walks into a bar and orders a glass of H2O
A second scientist walks in behind him, and says
"I'll have a glass of NaClO".
You are so correct, the joke falls flat.
" I'll have a glass of H2O2" he dies. Hahah
I think the point is H2O2 has beaching effects. If if IIRC. It is the Oxygen that does the work with both, but my memory ain't what it used to be.

Yes they are very hit and miss. My best hit was a particular brand of suit I would wear to work in the before times of 2020 when I had to work in the office. My suits averaged $400. I found the save brand in my size that I loved at TJ Maxx for $60. Now I wear a nice blouse suit jacket and pajama pants. @brandipalmer2526 thrifting is part of how I paid my bills in college. I made custom childrens clothing. For some, thoughI would buy kids overalls and jeans and embilish them and sell them on eBay. It was very easy to buy a pair of overalls for $1 at a thrift store, customize them to what a client wanted and sell then for $40 to $50. Those were late 90s prices.

Melatonin is a hormone in your body that plays a role in sleep. The production and release of melatonin in the brain is connected to time of day, increasing when it's dark and decreasing when it's light. Melatonin production declines with age.
Sometimes, with depression/anxiety the melatonin/seratonin (hormone released in the daytime) can get off-kilter, released at the wrong time or become unbalanced. Taking melatonin at bedtime is kind of a 'reset' of the body. I find that I dream a lot when I take melatonin.

If that trip she made was within the last 2 years the price increase is because inflation is nuts in the U.S. right now. The products being locked up at Target is probably (depending on where she was) because retail theft is so bad in some places that stores are locking up a *lot* of their items and stores are even being closed down in certain areas in some cities if not in the entire city.
I like whiskey but I've always only drank alcohol when I went out dancing. Since I can't physically do that anymore I also don't drink alcohol anymore except for a sip of champagne at midnight on New Year's Eve.

No, the GREEDflation is nuts, the INFLATION is low, but companies, terrified of being 'reigned in' by Biden (and, just naturally being greedy) have used the actual inflation from when the pandemic was going, full force (14 % inflation) as an 'excuse' to pump up their PROFITS to (75% when the inflation was 14% that's 14% higher than pre-pandemic and 75% HIGHER than what it usually was pre-pandemic hitting). So NOT inflation, my friend, GREEDflation. Thank you so much. :)

    • @greeneyedlady5580

You really should check the actual numbers. Inflation was really high right after the pandemic, but it's been down to 3+ for about the last 4 or 5 months. It's been a worldwide problem since the Corona virus, but the US has had the fastest economic recovery of any industrialized country, and the quickest return to near normal inflation levels.

Melatonin is a sleep aid. It used to be a very niche thing, but now it's more common. There's a whole subculture of barely-regulated supplements of all sorts, but the quality control has improved over the years, and now it's more accepted and more widely available. I take 5 mg of melatonin right before bed. It doesn't make you drowsy, but it does help you to stop thinking about everything when you're trying to fall asleep, and suddenly it's morning.

    • @BTinSF
      @BTinSF Місяць тому

Melatonin is a naturally occurring substance in the human body that helps regulate the daily cycle of sleep and wakefulness but by taking exogenous melatonin you can "fool" your body into thinking it's time for sleep. It's a much more natural and milder effect than "sleeping pills" as people usually think of them, even OTC ones like antihistamines (benadryl).

The 2 prices in grocery stores: one is the price of the item (usually yellow) and the other is the price per-unit, typically a standard volume or weight. It is to help you compare prices across brands in different size containers. Is the 12-oz ketchup for $2.25 a better value than the 18-oz ketchup for $3.50? The unit price will tell you that one is $3.00 per 16 oz and the other is 3.11 per 16 oz. So the first is a better value (16 oz is common because it's equal to 1 pound - a bit under half a kilo).

She could save herself a lot of money if she understood the value of all the B vitamins and C vitamins. They sell B complex with C over here in the US in most drug stores and supermarkets. My late brother put me on to them back in the 60’s when he was a pharmaceutical salesman. He said when he had been drinking too much, he took several before going to sleep to avoid a hangover. It replaced the nutrients in your liver that the alcohol destroyed. Like you, I wasn’t that big into alcohol; but I also learned that simple stress depletes these vitamins too. They’re vital to your immune system. Also, they’re water soluble, which means you excrete what you don’t need and can’t overdose on them.
This is not true of Vitamins A and D which are fat soluble; too much of those may mean a trip to the hospital to have your stomach pumped. I have gotten people started taking these over the last 40 years or so and I’m always profusely thanked. The more expensive name brands in the USA are Albee with Cee & Stresstabs. However, B Complex with C is the most common generic name. I’m 78 now and avoided at least a half dozen flu pandemics and countless colds and cases of stomach flu. By the way, my doctor is totally on board with this.

People like the "No Chance" because, at least where I live, I don't hear it often and never with a little accent to it. It makes you unique. It's nice. Don't worry about the hair products, my husband is so bad that if he runs out of shampoo and I'm not around to find it for him, he uses the hand soap instead and when I see him later, I can tell he needs shampoo again. I thing it may be a man thing, or maybe just my husband's thing.
Neither my husband or I like alcohol. I don't care for the smell. He says it just isn't something he likes. Nothing to be ashamed of. To each their own.
Note: Just a thought, If you do get a P.O. box, it might be good to check to see what items may not be legal or right to import. I know Australia is very careful of products that could bring in crop diseases, like ginger roots, nuts that are not commercially packaged and a few other things and they actually x-ray packages that come in to see if there might be any of that type of material in them.

No Dayquil or Nyquil in European????? We never let it go empty in the house. I even ship it from Costco to my kids in college. How do you take care of a cold or sinus infection? Or the 2020 virus that shall not be named. The american way, or maybe southern way, is sprite, homemade chicken noodle soup and dayquil. It is also one of the only meds where i can tell a difference between the e generic and name brand.
