The movie is exactly what Seth said… fun. That’s what’s been missing from movies lately.
there was nothing fun about it unless you also think WWE is fun.. it was so fake and cringy from start to finish.. there was never a chance for fun.. within2 mins, LITERALLY 2 mins in and the fake CGI fight scene from post malone and it was downhill ro there.. pure WWE, makes no sense but STUPID will enjoy it cause fast camera movements and people almost looking like they hit each other..

@@tabathaogost4982 They did use quite a bit of CGI, but they also used all the practical tricks in the book (and invented some new ones). All together it looks great - except the Post Malone fight, yes. But all of Jake's fights are insanely believable and gripping. The last fight has me breathless every time. And I agree, there is so much fun lightheartedness!
I watched the movie and it was so good I went back to watch all the fight scenes again, I love the way they shot it!
Jake and Conor would be great in a buddy movie--cops or smugglers or something retro--Conor always taunting guys and mixing it up, hot for a fight; Jake the sarcastic one with the long, slow burn.

The movie is just a blast. Took me like 1.5x longer to watch it because I kept going back and rewatching hilarious moments.
Same. I've rewatched it three or four times since and STILL end up rewinding the best moments, lol. Took me 2 hours to get through 45 minutes of the movie once, lol.
I watched this before seeing the movie... When Enter Sandman started i couldn't help replace it with Singing in the Rain. It. Was. GLORIOUS!

Jake comes across as a really charming and likeable person. He's a fantastic actor, but I feel this movie was below his talent. Yet, I highly respect his commitment. It's terribly hard to achieve such a chiseled body.

As a former voice actor, doing fight scenes alone in a booth -- and dying in multiple ways -- is a lot of fun. Very cathartic.
Awesome. I've been putting off watching the movie, trying to talk my wife into seeing it for our dinner movie. Tonight it'll be either Road House or Jake's sister in Secretary. Either one is fine with me.
The Secretary is heavy. Road House is just unplug your brain and enjoy 😂

it really isnt. It is supposed to be campy like the original. It is a decent remake for once.
The writing of it and characters motivation was pretty terrible.

Then most of the fight scenes felt fake. I know it is normally faked but the sounds of the punches didn't match the screen.
