Joel losing Sarah (especially the way it happened) was the first time in a very long time - maybe ever - that I cried in the beginning of a video game (back when the original came out, of course). Having to witness that again, remade ... still hits as hard as it did the first time I saw it. Talk about setting the tone, and setting up Joel's hardened stance once he's older, too. Prepare yourself, Cassie - this game possesses (in my opinion) the BEST story telling I've ever witnessed in a video game.
As someone who finds this game great in many many ways I'm just glad that there are people out here such as yourself who are committed to playing it and recording it for guys like me who will never have the time to ever start of finish this. I wouldn't even dream of trying to race in this masterpiece either.

That scene before the opening credits was really tough on the actors, especially Hana who was only twelve years old at the time (she's currently in her mid twenties). They spent six hours on the motion capture stage, doing take after take when they shot that scene. Then Neil Druckmann calls them back up to reshoot the scene a fortnight later, which they did and it paid off in the end.
13:35 its interesting how many people sayed that exact same thing in that scene, which is suprising like did they ever carried a 12y old kid and try to run

That opening sequence was really epically dark, still gave me goosebumps. Keep up the amazing work, will be looking forward to seeing your next video.

This game and it's sequel has really fun gameplay! I love the combat in these games! Going from stealth to wild and fast brutal action and back again to stealth. This game is a blast to play! Especially on higher difficulty settings where you sre forced to stretch your resources.
@@CalamityCalling Fair enough. This game is fun to play no matter what. I love how you can completely customize your experience to fit whatever play style works best for you. I personally really enjoy the harder settings. Where every bullet needs to count. Being forced to really think about resources and how best to use them. Every step forwards feels like a victory. Endure and Survive! That's just me though and it's definitely not for everyone. The easier settings are great too! Throwing Molotovs left and right, running and gunning, it's a blast!

I honestly can't remember the last time that a game DID make me speechless. It felt like an important rule had been broken or something, especially with it happening so early!
So many zombies, you did a masterful job at staying very calm, I would've gotten scared at every encounter haha. Regarding the prices for the controllers, I have zero clue why Xbox decide to charge the same as PlayStation lol. What a very dark way to kick off ep.1 of your playthrough, love it. Keep up the amazing work, will be looking forward to seeing your next video.
