  • Old cars have their unique qualities and characteristics as well as techniques to operate them. At times myths and well meaning intentions get intermixed with them leading to confusion and the belief of perhaps unreliability issues or being a poor quality product. In these days, we are so used to our new cars being so automatic and user friendly, we forget there were times we had to be the operator managing these aspects. Of course we have owners handbooks and other literature to help us understand these things better. Just to note, the battery disconnect switch is a feature I added. It makes life easier to be able to turn the battery on and off while still in the driver's position. It is not an original feature or found on a lot of examples. Remember to get your car out and drive it. Exercise and use are your best line of defense.

Well done. Your comments above are spot on. I guess the PII had some improvements in the starting system with the Autovac shutoff in the cockpit and the starter button on the dash.

indeed, interior control of autovac as well as a starter button on the dash board. Also a P2 is a bit more powerful and faster. Currently, it seems P2's are going through a period of less interest compared to other models. I remember when it was much more sought after then the others.
