A long paradox in my life: 3 years ago, I lost my son in a custody battle to his mother. This was the single most memorable pain I’ve had. He was in my care for abuse and neglect. After caring for him for 18 months, I lost him in the custody fight. I picked him up Friday for his summer visitation with my family and me. On Sunday morning, his mother died. As if she won him because he would need to know her for the 3 years prior to her death. Pray for my son, his brother, sisters, her family and mine as we make it through this season.

God answered my questions by leading me here. These days, I feel so empty and sad when I chat with friends. I'm happy when I'm doing it but feel empty afterwards. I keep on thinking how I could spend an hour more on talking to God, learning His Word, getting to know Him, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit more, worshipping Him and simply thanking Him for what He's done in my life and how he continues to help me everyday.. I never knew why I wasn't able to make my friendships last for too long, I never could understand why I keep on wanting to be alone instead of wanting to talk to others and meet with them. Now, I know why. Just like you said, I was born to be with God. That's why it feels so empty and sad without Him. Thank You God for answering me 🙏
Each situation is different. Some people should break up with someone that God has not placed in their life and is causing them to pull away from God and go down the wrong path. Not everybody is apart of your destiny. We should always seek God about relationships! Even Christian ones!
