What you do is simultaneously educational and entertaining. And when you talk to us individually, you are quite possibly saving lives. People NEED to hear that and I really appreciate that you make a point to tell people it will get better.
I was born in 58 so I would choose the 70s again. Graduated high school in 77 bell bottom pants, platform shoes, and my hot rods.. LOL
What a glorious time
When I had you congratulate my husband on his retirement, I forgot to mention how much we enjoy watching your videos. 🎉 I love your energy and excitement in sharing all things Disney! Thank you for all you do!
Thank you watch May 21 for you shout out.
Just a reminder... they WERE floppy discs... they were just in a hard plastic case, but the thing inside, like all it's predecessors, was very floppy. Keep up the great work! You are the Fred Rogers Of Disney Video Channels.
"The Fred Rogers of Disney Video Channels" ... .yes that is a perfect description for Chris! ☺😁 I'm enjoying this video series!
The stare of the teenager behind you in the cafeteria during breakfast was gold!

Thank you Provost family for being such a positive light! My family loves to come together and watch your videos! Shout out to my son Trey, he loves the Dad jokes! Keep them coming Chris!!!
Thank you watch May 23 for your shout out
Here's a cool hotel idea...like the Decades have one with all of the International Disney locations. So each would be the design aesthetic from that location and sell items from those locations too, like Paris Minnie or Hong Kong Duffy. Majority of Disney fans will never get a chance to visit those destinations but they could bring it to the resort.
Fabulous idea!
this is such a good idea modern disney would never do it.
Excellent idea, I love it.
Hi Chris! Just wanted to thank you for all that you are doing in this series. It has been a lot of fun to watch and we really appreciate it. We know it isn’t easy and you are working really hard for it, so just wanted to offer some encouragement. If you could just give my wife Amanda a shout out and let her know how much I love her and she’s the absolute best mom to our boys. Thanks again for all of the enjoyment you provide in these videos. Jonathan
Thank you so much!!! And I love your wife’s name!
Thank you so much. I can’t tell how much this means to me. The shout out will come out on May 20.
5/18- shout out to my daughter Kalei! You make my Disney fun happen! You are awesome sauce!
Thank you. Watch May 26 for your shout out.
POP Century is one of our favorite resorts! A helpful hint: When we visit, we have cases of water delivered by Target or Walmart which saves on costs! Keep up the great work and this is such a great idea! You got this Chris!! 🎉
Great idea!!
From Steven and Lacey - Shoutout to John and Cher!! Thank you for an amazing Disneyland trip in 2023 and looking forward to many more!
Thank you watch May 24 for your shout out
Born in 79, was a kid in 80s and 90s❤ Pretty happy with my decades⭐️
I was born in 1960 and found the 1970's to be my favorite decade. It's when Disneyland and Walt Disney World were at their best and the decade was pretty cool in general.
But…in the 1970s, there was *only* Magic Kingdom! You'd rather go back to a time when there was no Epcot, no Animal Kingdom, and no Hollywood Studios?
@@CritterKeeper01 Yes, I would. EPCOT was not Walt's vision. Disney just made another theme park instead of the city Walt promised. Back in the 1970's it was a beautiful pristine property and it was better maintained. It was also less crowded and more affordable. Maybe there wasn't as much, but it was more enjoyable with less effort than it is today.
Pop Century is one of the best resorts I've ever seen. Great memories from that spot, it'll always be special to me!
I was born in ‘68, so I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s, with my teen years being in the 80’s. The 80’s were a great decade, and the decade I’d like to revisit. Pretty much every genre of music and movies were great. Concerts were affordable, and most of the modern conveniences that we enjoy today existed then as well. It was the last decade without the internet, which required us to be social in person, and that was a good thing IMHO. I feel bad for later generations, who missed out on how that was so much better than the social media experience.
Wow... I've honestly NEVER felt my AGE (aka OLD) until watching this video! What a trip down memory lane, for REALZ! We've never stayed at Pop Century and unlikely we ever will. But AS a child born in the 60's, teen of the 70's, young adult of the 80's, and grad student/work force entry level 90's gal, I don't need to "re-visit/re-live" ANY of those decades as I LIVED them! (And I have NO desire to return the nostalgia &/or restrictive 50's!) I PLAYED with the playdoh, hot wheels, etc.; listened/danced to disco, played 8 tracks AND cassettes through the 70's and 80's; and had that SAME music player; came of age in the BEST music era EVER; and nearly fell off my chair when you showcased/explained the "floppy disks" because not only do I literally HAVE OLD ones in my closet, I have the ORIGINAL 3x5 ACTUAL FLOPPY disks, of which the later 2x4 "hard" disks took on the name! Yes, I DID learn how to use PC's in their infancy! Most of the time I do not FEEL "old". But this video certainly emphasized that I have lived a LONG time... God willing, I'll live a lot longer! Thanks for the memory trip, Chris!
Thank you Tony for being the best travel partner ever! Thank you PPP for all you do.
Thank you watch May 24th for your shout out
Well, I have lived in 5 of those decades. I was born in 1953..
😂. My sister and I stayed at Pop Century loved it
You too are Fortunate, Blessed, and lucky.
100% agree on the 90s! Best decade of my life, and it totally doesn't feel like 30 years ago!
Absolutely would want to go back to the 80's! Best decade ever!
I was in the Tramp building of the 50s 2nd floor NEAR to the skyliner!!!!! Perfect spot for a room right by the stair to the trail that leads to the skyliner
1950s with their classic cars and unique home designs!
Chris, to answer your question, it is the 1970’s for me. I was a teen to late teen, wonderful years, great music, seemed like life was so much simpler. So many great memories.
POP! Even though I was a teenager in the 80s and love all of that nostalgia, I think I'd go back to the 1960s when Bewitched and Dick Van Dyke were on the air. Those were some of my favorite classic TV shows when I was growing up.
90s! No question. The best time of my life.
1980s…… Relive my “ Material Girl “ days. Ya know, freeze it hairspray, Sun in, bubble gum rock. Loved it! My teenage years.
Our family LOVES Pop!!! We stayed in the 60's, and it was incredible. But as a Gen-X who grew up with a large Baby Boomer extended family, I'd really love to stay in the 50s or the 80s!
Loving this series Chris! I'm 63 Chris, some of the happiest times in my life were the '80s, I was in my twenties, and I was dating my soulmate whom I've been with for forty-three wonderful years.
As a California Native and Disneyland fam, we are soooo excited to see all of these. It will be a few years until we can afford to go as a family but I'm already starting my research and this is sooooo incredibly helpful. It makes me anxious when I don't know things or know what to expect hahaha Which is why I started vlogging so I can share with other people hahaha But knowing how to get to the parks from each hotel is a big one. Anyways thank you!!
We had a caravan of like 5 going from NC to Florida and all of them had CB radios. We had a game board set up in the Winnebago. We played trivial pursuit using the CB and one person would move and put stuff in the pieces. It was a cool experience. This was in the early eighties I think.
One of my my very first memories is meeting Roger Rabbit in Disneyland. He was such a nice bunny!
I would love to go back to the 50’s! I have always loved the poodle skirts since I was a kid. I love the malt shop and swing dancing! I also love the dapper dresses! I also love the music!!! 50’s hands down for me! I’ve always felt I was born in the wrong era.🤣
Well I was born in 85, and would say I'd love to go back to the 90's. They were so fun. But I'm super interested in what the 50's were like as well as the 60's. Thanks for showing us around friend!
My wife and I just stayed there last week for our honeymoon. We were in the 90s building had such a wonderful time. Thanks for doing these videos great seeing the resort again makes us miss being there.
I really enjoy bloggers sharing Disney trivia, but these videos are full of so much practical and helpful information! It really makes planning a Disney World vacation less overwhelming.
1970’s ALL the WAY!!! But LOVED the 80’s SO much!!!And the Music was THE best!!😎but 70’s were my teen years!😎💜
Yay!! You shouted out RHPS🖤❤️Saw that movie SOooo many times!!!
I'd want to be in the 80's for the music.
Pop!
As an IT Nerd. The hard plastic 3.5 inch floppies was informally known as Stiffy's.
Definitely 60’s! Was born in 72 and my parents always listened to oldies music and I still love it today!
Love this. I'm torn between 50s and 80s.
My son is 5. He was barely 4 when he rode Guardians for the first time at DCA. He loved it so much it was our first ride the next day. Legit one of his most favorite rides. He's not quite tall enough for Incredicoaster, but he's so stoked to ride it. He also loves Soarin AND the swinging Gondolas on Pixar Pal Around. He loves all of these rides because he saw you and your family riding them. Miles laughing on the gondolas made him want to try it. His dad is now OK to ride it, but his first time he was white knuckling that ride hard and refused to look anywhere, but the ground.
Chris, you need to “critique or rate” the temperature control system in each room that you stayed in. Specifically fan strength and quickness of cooling.
Hi Chris! Love your videos. I don’t have a comment, more of a request for us viewers. Can you do an on screen moonwalk for us?!?!? 😁 Keep up the great work!
Thank you watch May 21 to see your shout out :D
5/17-Shout out to provost park pass! You are awesome! Blessings to you and your family! Thanks Chris and Amanda for being you!❤
Yevette!!! I heard his shout out to you and the Navares ʻohana! Miss you ~Lisa
Chris and Amanda, LOVE your positivity!!! Mahalo! 🤙🏼
You are doing a brilliant job on these!! I know it’s a HUGE undertaking. And to whomever is editing all this and getting it up in record time…. Excellent work!! 👏🏻 Also, I’d love to visit the ‘50s to see how it really was!
1950’s! I’d want to experience the beginning of Disneyland!
We stayed at Pop Century 3 years ago for our honeymoon and loved it. The skyline right there was great. Pop!
For me it's the 50s! I just love that milkshake, diner vibe.
mid '70's to mid '80's. Born in 1966. Great videos!!!
Shout out goes to you, Chris!! Awesome job and we appreciate you too!! You deserve some accolades!
Thank you. 💙💚💙💚💙💚 Watch May 26 for your shout out.
Pop is so much fun!!! I love this series!
Oh…. and the 80’s were amazing, I would not want to grown up in any other.
Me either. I'd revisit the 80's. Epcot in the 80's was awesome. I could spend a whole day there. Now I just ride a few rides get some food and leave.
@@darkchilde100Wow, that's sad! I can spend all day at any of the parks and have a blast! I hope you regain your ability to enjoy the Disney parks soon!
And in the 80s you wouldn't have Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios at all. I'd much rather enjoy *this* decade.
1950s for sure, best culture, best cars, best music
It was so good to run into you at Pop while we were there. Thank you for being so kind and for talking to us! Love that you are doing this challenge!
I would go back to the 60’s. Our town was small No tourists. No traffic. We had so much fun.
Most definitely the 70’s for me…
Why?? I was too young to experience it and I remember my older brothers were always out having fun! And DISCO!! 💃
We LOVE Pop Century!! My decade to go back to would be the 1980’s ❤
90’s grunge days for me!!!!!
80’s all over again!!!
1990s I already live that and would love to do at once more.. Now, would I know what's coming after that, like in twenty twenty??
I love how you always laugh when you say the flush test 😂. Loving the advantage PPP. Thank you for taking us with you
I would love to experience in my twenties 1950s....it seems.like a simple time and I would love to go to Disneyland and actually say hello to the Master! Walt himself!
I would definitely go back to the 90"s! What a great decade. The music was so intertwined, espoecially all the nu-metal! I must've seen 100 different shows back then! LinpBixkit and Eminem on the same bill! All the grunge, and heavier bands like Pantera! None better! So many other great things as well, alot of nostalgia, as I graduated high school in 94! This resort seems better than tyhe first 2. Cant wait until you get to Polynesian!
Hahaha love the puns and the jokes in addition to ALL the information you're sharing 🤗🤗. 🌸
I would want to go back to the 1970s because WDW opened in 1971. I would love to go back and see it on opening day and see how it changed through the years. I think that would be amazing.
Pop is definitely one of my favorite resorts. I stay in the 1950's area so I have to get in more steps to get to things. I am bummed to see they got rid of the pot roast dinner. It was, by far, one of the best deals at Disney World and so delicious.
1980’s all the way!!
Man, the bowling puns sure were a strike, but glad you were having a ball.
😂😂💙💚
80s for me! I was a little kid in the 70s though and that was fun too. 🎉
Great series. We would do the 90s. We met in 1990 and were married in 1995. So we'd love to go back and relive getting together again. This video has us thinking of 30th anniversary at Pop Century in the 90s building.
I loved the eighties as it was a great time in my life. I lived through all the decades, starting with the fifties so any of them would be fine
Last time we were at WDW we stayed at Pop Century at 1960. The pool was nice. The dining area was full of great choices, good affordable, food. ❤
We were so excited to spot my husband and baby daughter in the background during the tour of the lobby! We saw you filming and you have a such a positive energy about you!
We are staying for the first time next week at Pop! Wish we got to see our favorite Disney UA-cam host Provost Park Pass! This content is perfect for pre-trip hype! Thank you! Love it!
While I loved the groovy, far out 60's with the crazy clothes and the Hippies, I would choose the 70's. The best decade! Also, the best music (although, many people disagree with me).
Pop! I’d relive the 90s!
I love the skyliner if it isn't windy. If it is super windy it's a little scary!! I am living your videos.
Whoo-hoo! 3 down! Loving this series! '70s just to wear the cool clothes my mom wore!
Is it too late to comment on my decade?!😂 After a busy week teaching at the end of the school year I am catching up with you and your amazing journey. My favorite decade is the 70’s🪩🕺 I used to roller skate back and forth in front of my house with my music blasting and my rainbow suspenders on! My mom took me to my first R rated movie, “Saturday Night Fever,” too.
In the 90’s I traded in my skates for Rollerblades and met my husband while dressed as Frida from ABBA at a disco night. The 70’s ROCK🤘🏻❣️❣️❣️
Oh! And, for my 50th birthday, my friends rented out a roller rink. They gave me a Xanadu party. (Well…Xanadu was 1980…😂)
Our favorite place to stay on Disney property up til this point .
My top decade would be the 70's... Love the music! I work nights my husband is retired, and the only enjoyable time (UA-cam time) we spend together is watching (during a work day) your show! Please send him a shout-out: "J.C." hes a big fan! And his birtday is coming up on 5/24th ...He'll be 71 years young.
Thank you. Watch May 26 for your shout out.
I would choose the 60’s. I feel like it was a huge turning point for the country going from more wholesome to edgy and I would like to witness that. Also can’t go wrong with The Beach Boys!! 😄
ROFL! I love the juxtaposition of longing for both edgy and the Beach Boys!
A tip we do when we go to the parks (or really if we are just going to be outside all day), is set a timer for 2 hours once you apply sunscreen. Then when that timer goes off, we will find a bench or place to pull out of the way and apply sunscreen, eat a small snack, and drink water. If we are in line when the timer goes off and can’t get to the stroller where the sunscreen might be then we just do it once we are off that ride. We try to eat and drink between the timer when we need to and get bigger meals at a restaurant (except maybe sometimes we pack one meal of sandwiches). But sometimes we get caught up in all the fun that we forget. So it helps us to keep track of sunscreen and staying hydrated.
1990’s and relive my teenage years and college years. 😊. Best music concerts.
I'm excited to see Pop century! I'm going to enjoy watching this one. Thank you so much for sharing! I would go back to the 80s, 100%
It’s my fav. Room’s basically same layout as all stars but that gondola to studios and Epcot is a game changer.
We stayed at Art when we took the whole family. Love the Skyliner!!
Definitely the best of the Value resorts; Art of Animation is just too expensive with those family rooms; it has singles, but they're tucked as far from the lobby/stores and skyliner as possible.
Pop Century, for the price, has great updated rooms (If Small) and, of course, the SkyLiner. The layout also works in its favor--the rooms are in buildings wrapped around the lobby and food court in a crescent shape. The 90's rooms are farthest from center, but they are still a reasonable walk to the food and shops.
These resort videos really make me feel like I'm on vacation even though my life is shit!
We love Pop - it’s our go-to resort. I would love to go back to the ‘50s decade, but I think not having a cell phone would drive me crazy. Keep up the amazing work on these resort tours.
1980's yeah!!! 😄
I would like to stay at 90s since that was my teenage years
Either the 50’s or 80’s. 50’s because the diners music and drive in movies. 80’s music movies games
I'm a late 80s early 90s kinda person. I graduated 1990 from Mainland in Daytona Beach. You remember MTV spring break in the late 80s early 90s.
I'm doing Disney in September, and picked Pop Century because of the Skyline. It's actually good to see it up close, to know what I'm getting. Some of what you showed was what I expected, and some I get to see to look forward to.
the flower power 60's for sure!!
We love you and your family and thank you so much for all the hard work showing us all the resorts! I love the 80s that's what I grew up!
I would choose the 90s!
I'd go back to different times to see what I was like as a kid at different ages, so 1960s, 70s and 80s.
I stayed at Pop Centry. When I went to Florida. The 80’s for sure
Awesome content Chris. Love the videos and the energy needed to do 20 hotels in 20 days, that's insane.
Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Your shout out will go out on May 20.
You gave me a flash back, when you mentioned"70's and a handle for the cb. I remembered my handle as a kid was " lazy daisy".
