I like that they enjoyed it. Nobody acted like they were too cool to do the dances.
Ryker is going to be an icon at weddings, dude has a lot of control and could learn some dances (not tiktok) and actually try out for a show.
You know, every time I see Ryker, I can't help but think to myself, "He could definitely be a teen idol, a heartthrob."
Same
I love seeing sweet comments like yours ❤
Ryker gives me Golden Retriever vibes, in a good way
@@chipwhitley6509 That's.... kinda weird....
@@GeminiWolfstarGaming I know, but for some reason, I can just see that if he were a dog, it would be a Golden Retriever
Ryker is such a sweetheart, he got moves 😄
"all these kids were born after 2005'
Me: why did that sound like a personal Attack...
"I took it personally." MJ Dun dun dun
It's nice to see these young people dance like no one's watching...👏 because people are so jaded today.
As someone who was a teen back in the 80s, I absolutely loved watching these teens do our dances! They looked like they were having so much fun!
Blue shirt guy is a natural dancer. He picked everything up so quickly.
The blonde kid with shaggy hair has great coordination and picks things up fast. He should take dance classes!
Ryker is adorable, and wow what a great first attempt at a moonwalk! He’ll be a pro in no time
Fun, fun, fun!!! They all did great!! We need to bring back the 80s music and dances...not the hair, not the clothes, please! 🤣🤣
If you can't do The Electric Slide you ARE NOT invited to the Cookout🤣🤣
Keife had really good form with the worm! Everyone else had valiant attempts, especially Ryker.
Man, Joe is like this perfect mix of super wholesome in videos like these, and hilariously inappropriate when...otherwise appropriate. It's great.
The 'angry montage' was the best one becuase the kids could be creative!!
Ryker was born to star in a Zoolander film. Ben Stiller call my boy rn for Zoolander 3!😂
Ryker is really growing on me. Such a cute kid.
Damn. Ryker was a delight to watch. He's the MVP of this challenge. And he's got great hair too. He can learn dance moves very quickly. I, on the other hand, have no coordination whatsoever lol.
Someone in the comment section said Ryker's got that teen heartthrob look and I agree. He reminds me of a young Leif Garrett with that hair.
The Footloose segment of this video....brilliant!
"Born after 2005"
My brain cannot compute.
My brain thinks 2005 was five years ago
Keife and Ryker didn't do too badly with Voguing, but the girls.... I'd say they completely nailed it! Like Juliana, I was like, "Ooh, get into it! Damn!"
Meanwhile, Joe at the end busting some moves! 🕺
I got in trouble doing Da Butt at a high school dance. Definitely a precursor to Twerking.
Snake to me is the move Janet Jackson did with her head and shoulders.
This was such a fun episode!
Now we need a dance-off between Gen Z and their parents. 🙂
That walking dance move in, "The Breakfast Club", was also referred to as the Madness dance. Because it was used in the music video, "Our House", by the band, Madness. ✌️
YOU ALL ARE AWESOME! So many people are shy about dancing, regardless of age, and y’all put it all out there and even attempted to learn!
So fun! Love seeing the kids get out there and do some moves! And I always love a line dance!!
Whenever I think of the worm, I think of Scotty 2 Hotty 😂
Same here..
Same here ☺️🤣
You’re not the only one
Haha yesss
Yes!!!!!!
This one had me ROLLING 😂😂😂😂
😂😅
Being a child of the 80s, this video has taken me to my happy place 💃💃💃
I feel like referring to EU as “Experience Unlimited” is like your grandma calling you by your government name instead of the name everyone else calls you. 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, I was like, nooooo EU!
Not Angel confusing the Cupid Shuffle with the Electric Slide. Making my milennial butt feel old. 😂
This was so much fun to watch you all. As someone who Graduated High School in 1990 it was Awesome to see them try all the Dances we grew up with. Loved this Episode, you all Killed it...Bravo. 👍🏻😊❤️
Kevin Bacon was such a baby! Do another video but with 90s dances. I wanna see them do the Tootsie Roll.
ngl this was fun and should be an ongoing series. more 80s dances and dances from different generations even tiktok dances
Can we please get a outro of Joe dancing after every episode? 😂❤
Thank you for showing these young people the world of voguing. Although what Joe said is true, its roots go deeper than that. It was a way of expressing your feelings of pain and hurt but in a positive healthy way. Being a queer person of color "black or brown" or being trans back in the day was just as bad as a death sentence. Being thrown out of your family home and left for we turned to drugs and sex work in order to stay alive. But when many of the iconic queer and trans people of the community wanted better for themselves and others. Houses were created and the dance style was created to let out all of our pain.
The fact that there are 2 different dances called The Running Man is hilarious. Yes, you have to note the decade for each version. One is from the ‘80s and the other is from the 2000s. 🤣
It is the same dance, Fortnite version just have added hand movements, but gist stayed the same
Totally tubular! These teens are good dancers. I was impressed with their Footloose style venting.
This was a lot of fun. Definitely do.more of these. 🤩
When Joe said "angry dancing montage," my mind immediately went to the dance sequence in Footloose! And the song that plays during it -- Never by Moving Pictures -- is my most favorite song in the movie.
rykerrr!!! im soo surprised how good of a dancer he is mindblownn 😲🤯
As a Millennial, this is giving me flashbacks to weddings of Gen Xer's I attended when I was a kid and teenager. 😂
Angel was killing it with the dance moves. Keep it up. It's great to see the youth bringing things back from my day. (And before).
6:05 You need the music to do Da Butt! 😂 That brings me back! I forgot about that! I remember I made a cassette tape with "Doing The Butt", "Baby Got Back" and other butt dancing songs at the time (90's) and I was dancing in my bedroom, and my boyfriend calls me on the phone and he goes "Are you doing da butt?" 😂 So embarrassing! He saw me through the window! 🤣
Joe at the end killed it 🤯😅
I don't know why, but I'm not in the slightest surprised that Ryker and Angel did so well.
They are all so cute and sweet. Love it
I absolutely loved this Episode. Please do more like this.
Q: What are two clips that give off the same energy?
A: Gen Z trying to do the 80's dance moves and old people trying to do new TikTok dances.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm 41. I don't usually feel old at all. This made me feel old.
LOVED THIS!😆❤😄 Brought back fond memories - esp Electric Slide, Running Man, Cabbage Patch and Da Butt. Partying back then meant you didn't need the gym.😉😝
She said butterflies....damn...that's a deepcut for anyone their age 🙌🏿👌🏾🙏🏾
Right, Angel definitely knows her Michael. 👍🏻😊❤️
I did all these dances many times in the 80's and had a blast!!! Have back problems today because of it but so worth it!
But wait. Nobody gonna talk about the fact that there were TWO DIFFERENT Snake dances in the 80s?
Their all so cute dancing specially kiefe and ryker
This also explains kiefe doing the cabbage patch on one of the other vid
90s next, then 2000s!!!!! This was great. Go backwards to 70s 60s as well. Maybe some 1920s flapper girl moves!!!
Well that was just delightful! So much fun! Even if it does make me feel a bit old.
So what's the number to order the 10 disc set of Joe's dance instructional video series? It says call now but there's no number. 😂
I love that they’ve put Angel with the teens in these recent videos, that was the whole problem. They had her with adults when she’s a kid and needed to be with the other kids
Agree!
That wasn't a problem because the other videos were about GEN-Z vs Adults. Come on now. Please tell me you're smarter than this??
Exactly! She's actually so much more tolerable in this video
@@maplenerd22 not all of them have been Vs. 🙄. Most of them they put her in with the adults aren’t. Tell me you’re smarter than that. An either way, she needs to be with the kids only apparently.
As a native Texan, I can assure you that that is NOT the original "Cotton Eye Joe" dance...
I was sad that they didn't play the song for the dance
This made me nostalgic! Even more I was so happy you had DMV represented showing EU!!!! GoGo!! 🥰🥰🥰
Keith has some moves
I have SEEN people dance the Electric Slide my whole life but never knew the name, and I have HEARD of the Electric Slide my whole life but never knew the dance. I honestly didn't know the dance and the name were the same thing. Whenever I saw the Electric Slide, I thought it was square dancing, and I thought the Electric Slide was a completely different dance. Why is it even called the Electric Slide if there is no sliding step in it like with the Cha Cha Slide?
They aren't demonstrating the Slide portion in the video. From the original choreography (alternating with the classic grapevine version):
1,2 Step to the right on RIGHT foot; Slide(drag) LEFT foot beside Right foot; Step to the right on RIGHT foot; Slide LEFT foot beside Right foot;
3,4 Step to the right on Right foot; Slide Left foot beside Right foot; Step to the right on Right foot; Touch LEFT foot next to Right foot (clap)
5,6 Step to the left on Left foot; Slide Right foot beside Left foot; Step to the left on Left foot; Slide Right foot beside left foot;
7,8 Step to the left on LEFT foot; Touch RIGHT foot next to Left foot (clap)
9,10,11Walk back sliding feet along floor on RIGHT, LEFT, and RIGHT
12 Touch LEFT foot next to Right foot (clap)
Ryker was the best. He picked up the Moonwalk quick.
Ya, he definitely nailed that. 👍🏻😊
A new way of teaching history
Angel is the best
That was fine to watch u should do elders and college and kids that be fun mix lol
Dancing- If your not having fun You're Doing it wrong
Exactly! That's what it's all about.
When they started off that dance montage with a chair, it took me straight back to Save the Last Dance. 😄
That's not how we did the Snake in the 80s and it wasn't the rock version. To each his own.
I just commented the same thing. I thought Angel was the closest until I saw that Axl Rose video…then I remembered there was a different version.
Wow, that was Willy Ninja on the vouge part of the video. Very good friend of mine. We used to work at the clubs and after parties.
Will and Lucas would be crushing it if there were on this episode, because they've been doing dance class over the last 6 years
Them trying to do the snake was hilarious 😂
Love these clips showing gen z our 80's and 90's culture haha
The worm scottie to hottie killed that move
joe comming out in dad mode to teach dances.
I remember Davy Jones doing the dance back in the day before Axl. 😁
YES!! The Monkees doing Daydream Believer on their show. Love them!!
@@Suiteness73 yessss.... glad I'm not the only one who remembers! 😁
Same. I came here just to say this!
Exactly!
You know, when Marty McFly moonwalks in Back to the Future, Part 3, they had a dancing double for the footwork.
So you're saying Clint Eastwood didn't invent the moonwalk in 1885??
@@jmgirty20 As hilarious as that would be, I guess that's technically not the case! It was someone posing as Marty McFly posing as Clint Eastwood!
@@andrewft31 I think I had heard about that. But of course, Michael Jackson made it super popular.
They had entirely too much fun dance-venting, as Joe called it! That put a huge smile on my face!
Ahh thats very cute, the kids. I didnt know all off teh dancesBut disturbingly I feel kinda old. I thought everbody knows breakdancing and stuff
I always loved watching Axl do the snake! (Didn't know it had a name until now...just thought it was how moved!)
Axle Rose actually “stole”-famously “stole”- the snake dance move from Davy Jones from The Monkees
Love this episode! Would love to see more similarly "interactive" vids with this set of teens!!
OMG THAT BLONDE GIRL DOING THE WORM!
Now we just need a 90s dancing one.
That wasn't the snake I grew up with lol
RIGHT! I was like, that is most definitely NOT the snake anyone I knew was doing. The instructor was doing the snake lol, Not no axel rose 😅
Angels's face when see saw Da Butt for the first time 🤣🤣🤣
This was taking me back as a kid of the 80s. My family would electric slide at every family gathering and black folks always add their own thing to it. Being from DC I love how they added Da Butt and gave DC Go-Go band, Experience Unlimited aka EU a name drop. EU is still playing today. Just saw them play yesterday at the DC Emancipation Day Festival
Not me trying to attempt the worm immediately after watching the demo 😂 I kind of have it backwards lol
Loved this episode!
Ryker can dance well nice
They’re so hilarious 😂
That was fun. Took me back to my youth 😅
I wondered why Juliana reminded me of someone every time I saw her in videos. Now I remembered who. Actress Freya Allan.
15:05 Juliana has that concentrated tongue thing going on there! Both myself and my mom do the same thing!
I have never heared anyone call the Band who performed the Butt Experienced Unlimited...lol: we call the band EU featuring Suga Bear. The Band and the Butt is from a genre of music orignated in DC called GoGo
Yes!!! DMV!!!!
ryker has moves
THE BLONDE GIRL DOING THE WORM!
I’d like to see them judge songs against the songs they sampled, preferably ones that start the same. Like Bootylicious v Edge of Seventeen, or Under Pressure v Ice Ice Baby
I know it wasn’t in the 80s, but they seriously should have shown them Scotty 2 Hotty doing the worm
Exactly! I was thinking in him
Aww man. I was waiting for the kid n play dance. But I think that’s 90s
Great dance!!
