Owner of brand new Versa S 5 speed MT. So disappointed with the A/C. I live in Tucson, triple digits all day & afternoon. Must crank it on 4 for passengers in rear not to suffer and 3 if driving alone to prevent sweating. The output temp at the vents reaches 48 F at the very best but more like 49-50…for a brand new Nissan??? I expected so much more. Rpm’s fluctuate too much for my liking to the point where car will nearly stall at a red light. This fluctuation of the blower is inconsistent too as it will be blasting in 4 with unpredictable noticeable decreases in air flow out of the vents.
The RPM fluctuation happens on all of them, but don't worry, it never actually stalls. I've never actually checked the temp of the air coming out of my vents, you have me curious.
What you described is normal. The click is the compressor's clutch engaging putting a load on the engine thus the ECU will compensate by injecting more fuel to keep the engine idle within range. RPM can increase by a couple of hundred RPM. Nothing to worry about.
@@paulapril appreciate that. I’ve been driving the versa for 2 months now and that was the only thing I was worried about. Glad it’s just a normal occurrence I love the car.
@@215pokerpro The click that you're hearing should be subtle. Not overly loud. Able to be heard outside the car, but not inside the vehicle. The clutch engagement click will become more pronounced when the system is overpressurized. If you question this, have a trusted technician check it out. That aside, Be will. Note I work on Toyota and Lexus only.
It does fine in the heat. But yes in the extreme heat it needs the blower set to at least 3 and the cold set to the last notch or next to last.
This is the first time I've ever had to go above the 2 setting.
It kept me cool better than my office at 100 f
Sounds like your office HVAC needs a tune up!

Do you experience rpm’s jumping when idling with ac running also here a clicking noise are these things normal?

Are you planning for tint?
No, I am fine with tint if the car already has it, but never pay for it
