Hi Robert, great to hear from you! This was actually a much earlier one, whereas the one we'd just completed was Finsteraar Crack. Got quite a few routes completed but not yet edited, so should be some fun ones coming out over the next couple of months :)
@@bobbuilder4345 for sure! Don't have all that much time in Cape Town before heading back home for Christmas, but I'm sure there'd be a chance. Feel free to pop me an email or a message on Instagram
Thanks! I'm afraid not, but there's a very nice description of the route on sites.google.com/site/mountainmeanderswiki/Home/Table-Mountain/atlantic-west/spring-buttress?pli=1, and in Tony Laurens' Table Mountain Classics book which I'd highly recommend. GPS is only so useful on Table Mountain, where the steepness of the routes makes it hard to tell whether you are in fact on the right path from GPS alone
I think the chains on Kloof Corner Ridge are in part to aid people working on the power lines - this is a much less frequented route, not one which is officially recognised or maintained by sanparks, and so there isn't really any reason to put them in
any interest in going up (guerilla guiding) next Wednesday morning with a buddy and I in town from California? very capable climbers/scramblers, would love help on the routefinding! free pints etc!
Sorry I missed this at the time, would have been happy to help out, but sadly wasn't that side of the world. Hope you got the chance to do it or something similar though!
This makes me anxious just watching it!
Shame you won't love some of the next ones then 😂
Beautiful video! I think this route just moved up a few places on my list ;)
Thanks JT! Yea it's a stunner, and can be combined with Wood-Springs, which is also a win!
very happy to find this video, its one of the few routes i still need to do, and now in know a but more of what to expect
Enjoy it if you go! A real treat of a route :)
Hi, I met you on the weekend. I was with a family showing them around. Is this the video for that or a different one?

Start of the 'hike' lol
Looked fun up until 4:22
Fortunately that bit was a detour (we were looking for more fun 😂) so it definitely doesn't have to be included
Nice Video! Do you have a gpx file?

Why are there no chains?

A bit too gnarly for me

Wow at this point this is free solo climbing. Unbelievable
Thanks! We found some super vertical ones recently, just got to get the footage edited - stay tuned! 😉
One needs a rope for this hike, not so?
Depends on what you're comfortable with, we found it ok without, but I definitely think most hikers would be a lot more happy with some gear
