If I would have known about y’all before we had our house built, we would’ve hired y’all.
We wanted to build a log cabin on our mountain here in north central Washington state, but we couldn’t find a reputable log cabin builder.
Our stick built house was finished in 19.
But we’re looking at properties in Montana to buy and have Meadowlark build a log cabin for us, then sell our existing house and relocating to Montana after my wife retires.
We LOVE the “Trout Creek” bedroom 2 bath cabin.
The floor plan is perfect for us.
We’ll have to pay extra for the roof in the front to overhang a bit more but it’ll be worth it in the end.
I like how anything can be changed to accommodate our specific needs.
When you’re ready, be sure to visit us and will give you a tour of Trout Creek Log Homes in the area. We built an especially beautiful one near Kalispell in 2022, and in 2023, one was built closer to Troy.

My wife’s family are from Montana and are all over the state.
She has an aunt and uncle and cousins in Kalispell.
We’ve been looking at land around that area, as well as other areas.
I’m a Washington native and we are tired of the Communist Leftist Government here in Washington.
Thankfully we’re in an area which are mostly Right and don’t take kindly to the Left

Another great job. Was going to ask how electricity would be run to outlets, but decided it would be done along sill plates...
Yes we run it tucked under the log inside against the pressure treated plate. After wiring is completed the plate is covered in trim to hide the wires.

We use larch and lodgepole pine logs and they are all local Montana trees from forest improvement practices.
Elvie, with all the snow I've seen this year on different videos, why does no one install some type of heating element between the insulation & the roof to melt the snow ? It would only have to reach a max temp of 45-50° to accomplish this & thus prevent the massive snow loads & having to climb up to remove the snow. It could be done with CPVC & have warmed antifreeze pumped through a sealed system. I can't seem to get an answer from anyone I ask about this. Have a great day 😊.
I think such a thing would be too costly to install and would use too much electricity. Snow buildup on the roof is not a problem.
@@AmishMeadowsOfficial sorry but you obviously haven't seen some of the videos coming from California lately with houses & lodges having 5-6' deep snow loads on their roofs.
Elvie what would it cost for you to build me this same cabin in northern Utah. A little bigger though. 20x30. With the same porch.

@@nuttjeffable No that's something that you will have to ask them. I plan on putting mine on 8" ICF it all comes down to where you are going to build your home.
