I met Leslie Crowther at a charity event in Essex in the late 1980's, he was nice enough to come over to say hello to me and shake my hand, I was there with my parents, I would have been 10 or 11 at the time, Really nice guy.
@@davejackson5741I think he means it was much more normal than it is now and that most ladies and girls wore dresses and skirts as opposed to these days. I don't think either is right or wrong, it's simply a point he was making, though doubtless somebody will leap in and say he's a misogynist.
Back in the mid 1980s, my girlfriend and me (now my wife for nearly 40 years) hired a video called something like 'Merry Christmas VT'. On it, was stuff like this from the BBC, with a Shirley Bassey outtake showing that she wasn't nice, nor a lady. That clip has NEVER been shown on TV.
Who is the lady at circa fifty seven seconds? Her voice is familiar, however, due to the 'dark nature' of this section of the video I struggle to establish the identity of the woman in question.
Seeing Leslie Crowther mouth the words "F**k Me!" made my day. Thanks!
He actually mouthed "fucking bastards".

Cindy Marshall-Day really was gorgeous.
"Ashtray, James. Thank you."

When girls wore tights/stockings and heels. Miss those days.
They still do...😂😂😂

Nice Christmas message right at the end 🙂
Absolutely brilliant.
Whatever happened to carol greenwood and the one next to her?
Carol is a friend of mine. She is well, and her daughter is an Olympian and tv presenter
Carol Greenwood as a name means nothing to me. Is she the blonde or brunette lady?

Pretty sure Cindy ended up in the Crossroads reboot!

Another sad loss from the broadcasting act
Gregg Wallace was born 30 years too late ...
Gregg would have been 23 when this was made. It’s definitely his era.
How would Gregg Wallace have coped here?
What in the world?!
When are the law suits being filed ?

The lady is Evadne Fisher, Central Tv continuity announcer.

I’m glad they don’t make them like they used to. Cringe worthy.
Pure, unadulterated crap.
They couldn't get away with this today. Imagine the woke snowflakes watching this lol.
You forgot to mention their blue hair, identifying as a fox in the morning and eating vegan sausage rolls.
Absolutely. It would probably be banned. Oh, but wait, it isn't.... 🤔
Crowther was probably a pest that got away with it.
Leslie Crowther was a married family man that did a lot of work for charity. There has never been any question of him being a “pest”.
