Plenty of people living in darker regions have low Vitamin D despite spending a lot of time outside. Where I live most people have a Vitamin D deficiency because during the winter their levels get really low and during the summer their levels rise back into a healthy range, but not high enough to maintain healthy levels during the next winter. For this reason I and a lot of other people are told by their doctors to take supplements during the winter. Low vitamin D levels can contribute to people experiencing depression, so it's a really good idea to just take that out of the equation. Given where Lewis and Sips live and their lifestyles, they should probably be on Vitamin D supplements too.
"would rather take" as if vitamin d tablets taste horrible or have any significant side effects.. you need to drink water anyway, might aswell take some d3 and k2 with your drink
