My mom said when she was in high school my grandma made dosirak but her school had special heaters for the lunches. They would all out there food in the heater and the teacher would close it and let it heat an hour or so before lunch so it would be hot.
It’s because Mina originally started her channel as more as a Korean language learning one and apparently the Korean language has specific honorifics towards people like your female/male friends or bf/gf. So she created characters to make it easier for people to understand that this specific word is *only* used for girlfriends. Billie jean, the character you see now is the gf of another one of her characters.
