Hard fought season up until the end. Buddy was a stand up MAN in this (10:45 - 13 something) including shutting off his Coach to finish what he needed to say. If you've never played for a relative, it's easy to say there's nepotism in that environment. Having been thru it and seeing it with friends at a much, much lower level it's a dynamic most can't appreciate. Jimmy and Buddy EARNED their spots.
Yeah they sure did LMAO first team to finish under 500 record 15 and 16 yeah they earned there spots the program is garbage has been for along time and the ACC was the worst the conference has been in twenty years FIRE BOEHEIM 🔥
Boheim and Syracuse are hands down my second favorite team in the ACC. Anytime they arent playing the Blue Devils, I am rooting for them to win. Jimmy balled out to get his brother another game. Class act hands down

The entire family is a class act and this comes from a lifelong Carolina fan who hates to see Tar Heels play against that zone-but more importantly a proud father/grandfather. Buddy took responsibility for what he did and Dad is right should have been reviewed at the time and Buddy thrown out of the game. Why wasn’t that done?
Coach is right - A flagrant 1 or 2 should've been called during the Florida State game. At best, two shots and the ball for Florida State. At worst, Buddy gets ejected for the remainder of the Florida State game and it's over and done. Lesson learned and he is able to play against Duke. Terrible shame it had to go this way.
Their record may not look that great, but they shouldn't look back on this year as a failure, they're a lot better team than their record indicates... In pretty much every game till the end, except the first 2 Duke games...Then their final game they take that one team that clobbered them twice, right down to the last minute trading the lead back and forth... I've been a Cuse fan for over 40 yrs, and I'm not hanging my head.... So proud of the way they played today and the effort they've put in all year... And finally, a shout out to Joe Girard III, I grew up across the bridge in So. Glens Falls... way before your time...
I watched this because the Orange was the last great program, and how they adjust to everything. I have so much respect for coach and how he goes about his business. So much respect from a guy from Washington state thank you.
I've gained so much damn respect for both Buddy and Jimmy. It might not have been the perfect season, but those two have incredible heart and character.
first game this year i didnt watch from start to finish, I had to work. Luckily I was able to watch a couple minutes. Bummed how this season turned out, but I know we will use this season as motivation for next year

The refs really screwed up this tournament for us! I’m not saying we would’ve have won it but they completely screwed our chances of a miracle run!!!!! Not only did they screw up the whole buddy incident but that wasn’t a flagrant foul that they called during the duke game!!! That call right there changed the whole momentum of the game

But his lack of playing players like Benny Williams to at least give some reps and confidence blows my mind… why play a guy 4-5 minutes and expect that to be what he’s capable of instead of playing him some actual decent minutes and build his confidence up and to buddy punching another player I mean at least he owned up to it it’s not like he didn’t disagree with what happen but see here’s the problem….. Everytime someone on a college or pro level except responsibility for what they did on the court or on the field it’s always a ridicule from the fan base regardless of what team it is so honestly if I was buddy I wouldn’t have apologized. Make a Choice SU... Basketball or football.... It's obvious you can't succeed in Both at the same time.... Anymore . Maybe the ACC can merge with another conference like the AAC...or CUSA...? I can't see the ACC surviving without this... Especially in Football...

BUT at the same time, as one who's looked askance at those who've talked of their Confederate heritage and fore-bearers saying 'it's heritage not hate' that stirs the devotion of them to their fore-bearers and their fore-bearers service to the 'Lost Cause', I see the connection of Jimmy's and Buddy's devotion to the Team, SU, and Pops and those who fought in the 'Lost Cause' and their posterity who revered them. The system that's nurtured them to be those valiant athletic warriors, also used them as sympathetic icons for a system that insidiously exists for the "$$Ka-ching$$" of their marketing off them, which until this year provided no benefit for the stars on the court, let alone their brethren bench warmers. NCAA has plenty accomplices in the local and national media (except maybe NYC journalist who act like carrion tearing apart all the obvious and speculated flaws of their hometown losers, aka, Giants-Mets-Rangers). With all the things that JB (old #35) has done with his sports platform which I've disagreed with: #1-tearing down his individual players while his 'Golden Boys' of what ever past or present years get a pass for their sub-par performance. #2. This was a hard fough game by SU. Starters got tired, and fatigue set in.
