I think you should either train electrically to see whether the flick registers or when you hit, leave the tip on target, angling your wrist a bit, so you know you are on target. I can’t tell whether it’s a proper hit with the point or a slap. When you hit, you need to be sure that it registers during the lesson. You really need to aim for 100% when you hear contact.
I don't think this guy winds up enough when he flicks. He should bring his arm all the way back, closer to his head and then flick it to his opponent. That way he can leave a nice red mark on his opponent's back.
