This is really fabulous! Love all of the color choices! Furniture pieces are equally spot on!! Can’t wait to see the next video! I was thinking how cool it would be to have a radio, as such and make the interior be an old time radio show “scene!” Or a play or ballet, etc - your drapes inspired me! I just bought a vintage wood breadbox in which I plan to make a bakery - certainly not my original idea! However, I’m also contemplating maybe making it into the back of a bakery - with big ovens, racks, etc and have bakers at table making various bakery items. We shall see! I like the idea of adding a cat and a record player (hi-fi). Maybe a TV Guide - a staple in homes of that era -along with ashtrays, rotary phone and wall clock! Thanks for the video - your creativity and talents are just incredible! Kathleen
That would be so cool to have an old time radio scene in an old time radio! So clever! Equally clever to have a bakery in a bread box. I hope you make that, what an absolute delight that would be. Someday I too would love to make a bakery. I'm working on so many accessories for this room, I think you will love them. For sure an ashtray will be making its way into the the room..I'll be working on a living room in the future and I will have that TV guide, you are right it's a must! Thank you Kathleen, I always look for you!
Yes that Ballet Slipper Pink is so great and the colors of that scrap book paper. I had held on to that paper for sometime to use it with something special, and although I don't consider it 50's per se, I love it and I'm sticking with it! lol
I just love that paper so much! It casein one of those big scrap pads. I bought it at Micheals several years ago, I wish I had bought two of that pad, the papers in it were fabulous!
Ahh girl! I love this so much. Our first home was built in 1950 and I was SO into the mid century look. The home we have now is 120 years old and this doesn't work so well but I have always been a 50s kind of girl. How about a big sunburst clock? I bought an Arjen kit too, but I just bought an egg crate and still haven't built it.😂 I can't wait to see the rest of your Zenith room! ❤
I feel you, I live in a 1984 house but we reframed and painted the outside to give it the illusion of being from the 1950's, and many of my pieces in the house are mid-century. Slowly I want to replace all the furniture but I really like treasure hunting for good deals so it takes time, but it's part of the fun! I love the idea of living in a house thats 120 years old, but I imagine there is a lot to keep up with to make sure it stays in good shape! oh and...little secret, I literally just finished the sunburst clock, great minds! I was so impressed with Arjen's kits. He had so many good ones, I should have bought more, but I was nervous that they would be too complicated and they would just sit collecting dust, now I'm kicking myself!
@@WhitneyLaBrie ❤️ Thanks for the reply. I love love love my old house. You're so right - hunting for the perfect treasures is part of the fun. Have a great weekend Whitney! 🥰
I absolutely love this, its so cute and what a great way to give life to an old piece. I recently bought cork for cork boards and have cut it down for kitchen flooring in my dolls house. It works so well as flooring.
I'm so happy to hear someone else using cork board for flooring! It really worked well and I think it looks really cool! At close inspection it looks like linoleum in miniature. I feel like you could paint it too and add designs!
I LOVE the midcentury modern aesthetic! Of course, you know, making that diorama inside a box of Bakelite means it’s officially the most SECURE diorama on earth, nothing is ever gonna hurt that! 😂
oh yes! I have so many things Im making for this space, and then what will happen is after I'm done and the new video is made, I'll think "oh no, I should have made......." and I'll think of something else that would have been really cool. lmao!
A dream!!😍❤️❤️ so in love! I do have some mid-century pieces planned. This just makes me want to get started! Maybe I will do this one that Ive been planning forever now. Something my grandmother had! I can't wait to see what you come up with for the accessories! Temu has this awesome 60s acrylic cat clock that would be perfect in this room!❤😍
Oh I love the idea of a cat clock for this room. I have some other MCM room that I want to create and I will need more things, like for instance your freaking awesome oil lamp you just made that I can't stop thinking about!
same...oh that pink! I'm such a fan of pink, I just can't help myself, it's so joyful to me! When I saw those green sofa and chair pieces I knew they had to be mine! I can't wait for you to see the accessories!
Yes TW finally had time to stop by this week! LOL. IMy grandma had a similar radio when I was a kid but it was a cream color, maybe it was white originally but has slightly yellowed since she smoked so much! Hope you are doing well!
Thank you! I've wanted to do this for a really long time. One of the reasons it took me so long was trying to find the right radio, one that the right size and was already missing the inside. It would have kinda broke my heart to take one apart that could have been repaired and turned back into a working radio, so this one was perfect as it was sold for parts only!
Ahhh, Whitney it’s so frikken cute! Can’t wait to see the accessories cause you’re always so creative. I’m happy to know you didn’t float away with all the rain out there. xx
Oh I know it has been so rainy! It did make for a challenge when it came to spray painting the radio! But I do love rainy days, it's the Irish in me! :)
I love how it came out! Of course you looked at the radio without tubes and said "roombox!!" You are so clever! Looking fwd to seeing the completion next week. 💚
I know, it's so sad when I can't look at anything anymore without imagining it to be a miniature or house other miniatures! Can you say "OBSESSION!" lmao
Awe AMY!!!!! Thank you girl. I can't believe I haven done more mid century stuff really. I think the only other mid century room I did was my 70's office. Also one of my favs! I can't wait to show you the accessories!
Oh for sure they did! I love the sleek lines and all the fun shapes. I'd love to make a few more of these radio rooms, I have many other MCM items I want to incorporate!
This is perfect! I love the pink, I love the wallpaper, I love the cork that you use for flooring. The furniture is amazing! So very clever to use those drapes! I am on the edge of my seat for part two! And I’m looking Around my house to see what I could turn into a room box😂
LMAO!!! I'll tell you that I did the same! My husband has an old fender amp and I was like...ooooh I could make this into a room box and he saw me look at it and said, "don't even think about it!" I love pink too! When I was a single gal...my entire bedroom was pink and white and I loved it so much!!!
OMG yes! Was it the orange and yellow color and had tulip style dining chairs! I think I know what you are talking about, I'm pretty sure my aunt had some and she would let me play with it when she would babysit me!
This is so cool! You are so creative and i adore your videos. Thanks for inspiring me, making me laugh, and all your great content! Can't wait to see part 2...I love mid century modern! ❤❤
I am so happy to read that you enjoy the videos! It makes me feel good that you laugh, I do always hope people get a kick out of the content, laugh a little at the silliness and maybe to grab some tiny things and create little treasures that bring them joy! Thank you for being here with me!
Hi Welcome to my channel! Yes my collar with Kimbyr was so fun! I've never built a house so fast in my life! but we had a blast. The video I made for my channel was a hoot! We laughed so hard at all the silliness. Thank you for being here, so very appreciated!
This is so fun!!! I'm not sure if you will be adding anything to them, but I was thinking the paper on the front circles would look good as a ring, with a black (or other color) circle inside it. ❤
Great idea! I found something that I think will work as a knob and another product that I think I can fashion into a trim! Let me know what you think next week!

yes all it needs now, is everything! I have so many things planned, I hope yo love them.
I love this so much! Great idea, I’m excited for part 2. ❤
My favorite part of any series is when the accessories are added and everything come together, so satisfying!
@@WhitneyLaBrie I agree. Once I add the final details to a diorama or even a sculpture that’s when I see my vision coming together, it feels so good 🙌
