Belinda is on the hunt for a new ram, turns out, she may have just expanded her flock while she was at it!
Back at home, we are prepping for black bean harvest which has been put on hold due to our weather!

Wow can't get over a very young lady being so professional and involved in farming. It's not something that I would have ever attempted. I hope that you are so proud of her as she proves such a credit to you. She puts so many young people of her age group to shame. Such a pleasure to see her work and being so involved
Jess, your parents I am sure couldn’t be more proud of you, the way you have grown into a beautiful young lady who isn’t afraid to get your hands dirty. Great work ethic just like mom and dad’s. You’re such a help around the farm. Hope this govt shut down goes away soon so that you get to experience the college life next year!!!!

I really like these mixed /combined videos. Great idea. You give an overall look at what happens on your farm each day. Love the new sheep your friend got. I look forward to seeing the new rams you bought for your herd too. My hubby used to work for a farmer... so he likes listening to what you are harvesting and the problems you come across.

My heart is so happy to see daddy and daughter working together. I was daddy's helper from the time I could walk. Mom's helper, not so much. Oil and water. But daddy had my heart till the day he died. I was never told that I couldn't do sometime because I was a girl and this was in the 50's when girls were still told that there main job was to grow up and be a wife and mother. Love your channel. I could you late so now I am going back and watching old videos. Thankmyou.

Saturday it's been 14 years sense my dad pass away. He was in construction and he used to bring his children with him as helpers. Best memories ever! Jess is building memories!

That sheep dog is a genuine hustler.
"Dont tell my lanlord" lol. Currently I live in small town and have chickens and 5 turkeys in my shed (not legal). I did talk to a peace officer and he said they are not legal but if the neighbors dont complain they will not pay attention to it. Now I have 25 meat birds in the freezer (less now since we ate a few already) and 5 turkeys that will be process some time in December. My landlord is my sister, she still doesnt know and I have had them since July 23. LOL.
If she is a viewer, she knows now!!! Give her a couple of home grown chickens, she might act like what chickens ? lol!!!!
Bella looks like she’s wearing a black ribbon in her hair. Kinda like you wear a bandana! The bandana is something I’ve happily copied from you and I’ve been wearing it to work (animal hospital). My coworkers have asked why I wear it and I tell them it’s because when I look in the mirror- I like it! ❤️
If you sew two buttons by where your ears are you can hook your mask onto it to protect your ears.

Happy Thanksgiving week to you all in Canada. It sure seems a better time to celebrate the end of Harvest than what we do in the States. Having grown up on a farm, most of our harvest was done by the end of Oct. Love to ewe all!

Suggestion for cleaning out wagons. We always got a ladder set up then took our air compressor hose and blew them out that way and or used a leaf blower. Much easier than climbing in the way you did. I used to climb in lije you do, not the easiest contortions sometimes! Try it and see what you think!

I would love to see the rams you bought! I hope the freckled one, providing it was a ram, is one of them 😂. It was really cute!
One thing that you may not know about is to use smoke testing tubes to check air flow patterns and to some extent air speed.
Air is gently pumped through a glass tube which causes a safe steady stream of white visible smoke. Place the tip of the tube in the air stream and watch the smoke as it is carried along in the moving air. It clearly shows air movement, and to some extent air velocity, within a building.
I used to use them in our piggery to demonstrate to students air flow movement over and amongst the animals and differing pen layouts. Cheap, effective and easily visible to the naked eye.
Readily available over the internet.

I love the combo too! All 3 of you working as a team. Also when I was in my teens I would help my dad work on cars. I had smaller hands and could get to places he couldn't. He taught me a lot plus I was a daddy's girl 🥰

Your air mover tunnel is like what my mom hooked up to shuttle air from the air conditioner in the bedroom to the living room. You had to duct under it to get to the bathroom, but hey, it worked!
I see so much of Sandi in Jess. Her Energy, sense of humour etc. Mark is so chill you can't tell if he is pissed off or content. Stressful Job. Sandi has a great smile so she makes up for Marks seriousness. Love the New Format with 3/4 of the family on Cam.

The "view" shot... I enjoy those shots too. Look at those straight crop rows!!! Farmers used to make cracks to each other about each others crooked rows, so everyone was trying to make them straight like Mark's. I remember the first oats field I planted and it was out back, behind the barn - a small field. Didn't plant anything else until that one came up. I got lectured on the crooked rows and rabbit paths (where the overlap on the next grain drill pass was too small and left a wide path in the oat rows). Then I was allowed to go plant again - with a new appreciation of how it SHOULD look!

Is like she learned so much from you Sandy. She is really a great Nanny to the bottle babies. She has a talent for training those tiny babies, & they love her. Is she interested in raising sheep, or working for you after graduation? She isn't lazy that is for sure.
What a wonderful idea. I'm fairly new here and this is way past video so I wonder if she did anything for her? Hopefully she did.

Slowly getting a handle on the massive enterprise that is harvesting. It is such a complex, tight and demanding season for you. Mark must have been stunned at the one crop per winter/spring we have in Western Australia! Glad you have had a good season overall.

10:21 - haven't seen Bill since the early 90s when we worked for the same organization in our early days! I am still there (36 years) though in different department and career (I&IT).
I like the mix up video. When you first suggested it I was disappointed as I wanted sheep lambs sheep etc but I really liked this video. Is mark going to give feedback on those faulty pins. Many companies will positively respond to issues he has faced especially if feedback is constructive. Sometimes these parts are outsourced to be produced and that third party cuts corners in production or just stuffs up on production of those specific parts. It can't hurt to negotiate with the machinery producer

I learned something new today, and that is always a good thing. If I heard correctly, the different rectangular sections of the hay bale are called sleeves. I have always been curious about that for some strange reason. If I heard incorrectly, hopefully someone in the know will help me out.
