Every now and then I like revisiting some of these older commentaries. I wish Dan and Joe the best in their new ventures but I really miss seeing these three together talking movies

I don’t remember which trailer it was but after a very long time without making stares montages, they brought them back for one movie and it was like seeing an old friend. Literal goosebumps. I guess only us who’ve been watching these from the beginning remember.

i know its a small point, but you should link the honest trailer in the description :) especially as UA-cam loves to mess with the sub boxes and i dont get screen junkies stuff
Loki Doki This is a good idea. It always makes it even easier for people to go watch the HT in question. Sure YT usually has it in the recommended/related videos but it does occasionally mess these things up so a link in the description wouldn’t hurt.
I find that the HT and the commentary are rarely in each other's recommended videos because they are on two different YT channels. If the link to the HT was in the commentary video's description, and the link to the commentary was in the HT video's description then they would ALWAYS be in each other's recommended videos list.
Agreed! It would be great if I could pause this video; find the link in the description; open it in a new tab; watch the honest trailer; then come back here and watch this with the trailer fresh in my mind. That would be fun. :)
Stares and Flares montages are one of my favourite bits! That and Benny Hill montages with Star Wars wipes.

This Honest Trailer Commentary is better then the movie A Wrinkle In Time!
That movie a wrinkle in time reminds me of a family guy episode where the hole episode was just a dream. (I'm talking about) the episode where the griffin family survived the apocalypse and they go to a town that has a twinkie factory, stewie was trip into toxic waste and turns him into an octopus and he layed 100'0000 eggs and in the end everything was just a dream. That's how this movie was just a dream too (spoiler alert) the movie made me learn a lesson.
Just saying, Epic Voice Guy does a great McConnaughy impression.
Next weeks trailer is going to be "INCREDIBLE!!!"...
I bet next week is the Incredibles honest trailer.

They usually do honest trailers for movies that are going to be released. Also, they said they are doing something that is very good. Another word for very good is incredible.
OR maybe they're just going to go back and beat on Fan4stic again simply for spite's sake.
At first I thought they were alluding to the word Fantastic... and I only just now realized that the name Incredibles is a direct reference to the fantastic four... i feel dumb

I was bullied for having seizures when I was in elementary so yeah kids can be cruel.
I was bullied in middle school. The principal was a horrible person who would always side with the bullies. The teachers would turn a blind eye to bullying happening in front of them because they didn’t want to get involved. The whole school system was so bad, including the restrooms not working, having only ten minutes to eat lunch and then be forced to stand outside in the school yard during the winter time without our coats because they were in homeroom.
The way bullying is portrayed in films, in real life it’s worse.

You guys should have kept those extra Matthew Mcconaughey lines in the actual Honest Trailer. That part of the Honest Trailer was hilarious and the more the better. I now want an audiobook of inspirational quotes read by Matthew McConaughey.

Aren't most of the really weird plot points lifted from the book anyway? The weird bullying, the crazy dreamscape, the too-serious sayings
Ya the books was weird, but had the advantage of preceding at the readers pace. Unless you were shot gunning it for an equally nonsensical book report in the 5th grade. This movie is like watching someone try to walk with both legs that are asleep/numb. But it never tells or shows you why both legs are asleep.
Sure, the book is weird, but it also knew what it is about. Hint: It is NOT about a girl finding her self-esteem. It is more about the merit of not living to your own tune. It's also a pretty small story all things considered, not some giant action spectacle.

Dan, the layers situation I think just isn't much of a West Coast thing. It gets quite cold on the East Coast. Not everyone layers up, but I'm not the only one I know who does. Also Matt Christopher books are perfect for preteen boys who can't play sports.
OMG, thank you Joe for mentioning "The Dark is Rising" I kept trying to remember that book series but I can only remember the front cover and right when you said the title I looked it up and I was like finally! I've been trying to figure that one out for the longest time.

Perhaps Ava Duvernay wanted to do this because she thought it could be her Labyrinth & it just wasn't. I don't know if it was the story or the over reliance on CGI that spoiled it. I wanted to like it, it was in my wheelhouse but when I saw the Disneyland featurette I knew it wasn't going to be good

There was a Mister Men TV series here in the UK a while back, narrated by Arthur Lowe aka Captain Mainwaring in Dads Army.
The book isn't *that* crazy, if anything they tried making it crazier than it already was. Zach Galifainakis, the leaf Pokemon transformation, the attacking forest scene, the Man with the Red Eyes, and so on...

I could not believe how badly they ruined the movie for Ella Enchanted! I loved that book and I think it could make a good movie if they actually stick to the source material.
