Dan proudly saying “I’m learning” was the most adorable thing.
The Rock being an awkward kisser discussion playing immediately before a clip of Steve Carrell made it impossible for me not to think of the fact those two kissed in Get Smart.
They clearly forgot about The Rock's kiss with Karen Gillian in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

The think is Tokyo Drift is literally the only movie in the franchise that's actually about car racing, which everyone who complains about the later ones wants them to get back to. It started as cops & robbers and then merged with xXx to form this new hybrid.
Going from 2 to 3, you see such an improvement in just the cinematography alone, putting aside the better car choreography. 2F2F looked like it was shot on soap opera cameras. Okay, so the lead character in 3 wasn't the most compelling, and the story was kind of meh, but it's so much better to look at!

I always thought of the first one as a remake of Point Break in cars instead of extreme sports. So it made sense they went more into the cops and robbers theme
Tokyo Drift is fun, but I think Fast Five is the best overall in the series (general consensus probably favors the original or one of the Fast's 5-7) To me, the racing has always been the least interesting aspect of F&F. Plus, Lucas Black has the screen presence of a drugged praying mantis from Kentucky (I admit he was pretty good on NCIS: NOLA)
FINALLY SOMEONE MENTIONED OWEN SHAW!!! I kept thinking about it the entire movie! Every flashback, or meeting, etc. I kept thinking "Aren't you guys forgetting someone.... the entire reason Decker entered the Fast Franchise...."
Mama Shaw mentions him once, they kinda fucked up on the ‘family’ aspect in this film
Isnt Owen in the flashback?
Owen needs to come back in Fast X or Fast 11.

Danielle is correct, Tyrese's first big break was the Coke commercial in the early/mid '90s, which jumped off his singing career. Lon's correct about the acting kicking off with Baby Boy. He needs to do a new album or find another project to focus on.

@@The810kid You're absolutely correct. I am well aware of his role in Black and Blue as I can't get to work without seeing several billboards for that movie. Unfortunately, the reviews for it have been a bit lackluster. But what high profile things has he done between the last Fast and Black and Blue other than complain and be petty on social media? That's why I said he needs a new album instead. Getting back to his musical roots could be refreshing and a great way to refocus his energy.

re: The Rock kissing. It might ALSO be that the LAST time he kissed someone on screen was Jumanji and while hilarious, it was also really damn painful!
Maybe The Rock's awkward on-screen kisses in previous movies (if there are any) are what inspired that parody of a kiss in Jumanji?
THANK GOD you guys pointed out that the "director's" voice was Ryan Reynolds. It's been bothering the hell out of me that no one's seemed to notice that.

Fun fact 2: Idris Elba was originally called Idrissa but shortened the name for professional reasons. Idrissa is the West African version of the Arabic Idris, of uncertain origin but possibly related to "student", "tutor" or "interpreter".
Fun Fact 3: Idris was also the name of the dragon in 'Ivor The Engine' from the Smallfilms stable.
Omg this is why I like commentary more than the trailers now, because you get gold like that Statham noise. Had me laughing til my side hurt.

Dylan Richards Dan was referencing the heads-up display looking similar to the ones in Into Darkness. Spencer misunderstood and thought he was talking about Idris being in a Star Trek film and said “oh yeah he was in that,” but yes you are correct Idris Elba was in Star Trek Beyond

Haha, Like for real though, this whole.... "I've gotta kill the population to save the world" BS storylines have to stop. Or at least retire them for a few years. Because there's no topping Infinity War. Thanos did it. He wiped out literally half of all existence. It was eventually undone. But a villain succeeded, someone has actually done it. Just stop it. 2 films this year have ALREADY had that BS. Hobbs & Shaw and King of the Monsters. It's just repetitive now. Just stop....
I didn't like Infinity War so I say keep going.
Its Not about liking or disliking Infinity War. It's about this repetitive storyline. Infinity War ACTUALLY DID IT. Wiped out half of all life in the entire universe. There's no topping that. So what's the freaking point?!

I bet it's someone like the Koch Brother throwing money at movies if they portray people worried about climate change as insane murderous supervillains. We'll find out in 10 years that Infinity War and The Kingsman and such were changed to get funding
@@mabusestestament I think he meant topping that in terms of story, the only way to top Infinity War is to have half of all life erased, and stay dead. Villain wins. Otherwise there's no way to add anything to the same storyline.

I think the reason some people get confused as to what ‘race’ Elba is, is because in America it’s become non-pc to say “black” instead of “African-American”.
Unfortunately that leaves some a little confused as to what the pc version for Britian is, as Elba is not American, and in the UK apparently they tend to just say “black”.

As I commented on the Honest Trailer, I'm surprised that you didn't joke about how in Samoa the fight starts at dark night & within minutes the sun rises & it looks like it's near noon with the shadows. They could have said the fight took hours, but the movie has a literal ticking timer that shows only minutes have passed during the fight.
