Thanks for the video review of this unit! I replaced my 2003 530i's Eonon GA9449 with the E39A12S in early September, and have been very pleased with the results so far. In order to get the radio to mount flush, I had to add a second set of slotted holes in the mounting bracket, just behind the middle ones. The only issues I've faced with it so far are that the radio will lock up every now and then (requiring a reboot), and that they appear to have dropped USB dash cam support in this model. Other than that, it's been a great upgrade from the GA9449, and the wireless carplay feature is miles better than the dongle-based, wired carplay version.
Dont know if someone already wrote, but would appreciate if you would make a follow-up video after a year. I have grown of scepticism about these androids(even the ones with better processor or more ram), because they all are rebranded at the end of the day and after 1 year they just die, so would be thankful if you will make another video later on.
I sell these radios AND have them in all my e39s. 1 of my cars has been using an Android 11 for the past 2.5 years. No issues. Very capable and top quality. Mine Carrys the AVIN software with 128gig and 8gig of RAM.
I’ve had my EONON unit in my e90 for close to 5 years. Screen stopped working I sent it in & they sent me a new one with no problem at all. Great company.
Chris. Thank you for your radio installation video for the BMW E39, but I would like to know if you have an installation video for the reverse camera that comes with the radio, it is an interior camera, (A0125) and I am lost on how to install it . I would appreciate your help.
I have the old Q49Pro which is working great. I just had to heavily modify the brackets to get a perfect fitment and spacing in the dashboard but that was not a big deal. Great review!

Hey! Great video - quick question, did you have any issues with DSP? I installed this unit but the audio cuts off after 30 seconds. Everything else works great. Any tips you have are much appreciated!
@@TheBimmerBarn Aw man, I'm really not sure. The way it protrudes at the bottom while making a curve at the top instead of meeting the shape of the trim panels really makes it look like it was designed to fit the E53 dashboard. I mean, if you're happy with it, don't mind me, but I would really only consider a solution like that if it properly fit the dashboard look. Also, another small notice: The MID Radio part is supposed to be held in by a small hook that can be retracted through a space behind the volume knob. If it's properly installed, you won't get away with just a pry tool, you'll likely break either your tool or the MID housing.
