  • There's an all new Rockshox Reverb dropper seatpost, and everything from the internals to the oil to the ability to reset it yourself is an improvement over the B1 generation. But what does all that mean? What did they change? Why is it better?
We cover all the tech details, show you the internals and how it works, plus a look at how they're able to get more drop in a smaller size, effectively letting most riders go the next longer dropper, even on small frames with small legs.

Installed it 2 days ago. I hope it will work fine for me despite all this bad feedback about it online

The RockShox's Updated Reverb Stealth came with my 2021 Santa Cruz 5010 and I loved it at first but it has failed / got very squishy after the 10th short ride (less then 100Km). I have about 2 inch's of squish now and growing. I have never hung or picked my bike up by my seat post. This is from purely being a 190lbs guy that sits a lot during my rides. The more I sit the more squish I get. I have used the vent valve as in the video above and it has only removed about 1 of 2 inches of squish. I've tried this several times and I still have about 1 inch of squish and after each ride the 2 inch+ is back. My bike shop has told me its a well known issue with them and I could warranty it but that will take around a month or 2 at this and at point in the summer if I want to continue to ride and I should get a more reliable one. My other option is to pay about $150 to $200 to get it rebuild / services. What a scam Sram! Sram / RockShox I always felt your product were far more reliable:(

Honestly I was not happy to seen it on my new bike, after experience with old model. And I was thinking about replece it asap. But after this video I’ll give it second try. I didn’t know about hacking tool, so I’ll order it soon. Thank you for video!

I actually think the Reverb is a nice dropper and have had great experiences with the A2 and B1 I’ve had. The 1x lever is nice. I get it if you have problems with one, but there are so many out there and people only post when something goes wrong. I’m sure there are far more happy owners than dissatisfied ones.

Uh the previous button also has speed adjust, you just rotate the collar around the hose. (And this is probably the first and last non-anti SRAM post)

The Rockshox Reverb Stealth came stock on my 2020 Santa Cruz Hightower Carbon S and has failed about every 3-5 rides. The hydraulic pressure is faulty leading to a slow actuation which finally gets stuck at maximum travel. It was bled 8 times and finally sent in for warranty inspection which took 1.5 months. The dropper failed again on the second ride after it was sent in for repair/replacement. The most dangerous experience was when it failed to go down before a jump. It caused a severe seat impact to my groin and abdomen (nearly a liability). It is a completely failed product! I have spent over $120 on repairs to the dropper without success. Santa Cruz, do not put this on your amazing bikes, it has ruined over half my rides since May 2020!!!

And make sure that when you’re presenting a mostly black product and it’s black internal workings you wear a black t-shirt.

These components suck. I bought a new bike, has 250 miles, around mile 120 reverb already felt squishy, now it’s really squishy and doesn’t support my weight. Only had it since May. Did everything right, stored inside in extended position and never lifted it by the seat. Not my first reverb, hopefully my last. Sold my old reverb for a fox transfer.... great, getting this one fixed and selling. Already replaced with OneUp 170mm.... the one up is awesome. What have you learned SRAM, don’t sell bad products! Especially when you charge as much as you do. Good way to lose great customers!

With this new model? getting rid of the squishy feeling is exactly what this new model tries to solve. They incorporated a valve, you push it and all the air that got mixed in the oil comes out and it's like new again. This means much less frequent visits to your LBS. Generally though, this whole niche of adjustable seat-posts has been troublesome since the beginning. It's an intricate piece of hardware that has to perform under pressure for long periods.

Products costing this much should not be faulty. That’s worthy of a class action law suit and they should have been recalled a long time ago. Simply a bad product.

I've had 3 Reverb B1 droppers. They all squish about 1/4". If yours doesn't, just wait, it will. I can't understand why these posts keep getting spec'ed on bikes. Not a fan. Incredibly expensive, incredible unreliable, poor performance. Before to purchase, watch SRAM's 50 hour Reverb service video... and then laugh, and thank me later.

Still an inferior design, one of the worst droppers on the market! Move away from hydraulic hose already!
