LEGO Simpsons House IMPROVED with MILS & Placed in the City

- Join me as I improve the LEGO Simpson House with MILS! There is no question that this is a great set... but in order to place it in a city, it needs some work! Today I walk through the process of how I MILS plate it using 4 baseplates and a ton of brick and plate. In addition to that, I also add some essential details like Barts's tree house, a swing set, a sandbox, a dog house, and more. Once that is all done I place it in the LEGO set!!

I saw this on display at a local Hobby shop. They had it under a glass dome, and I couldn't stop staring at the thing. Wish I could have gotten it.
The mils plated Simpsons house looks amazing! I love the drive way and that it slopes onto the road. That's a cool feature. And that backyard looks pretty fresh! Good work!

I've been looking forward to this part of the City build and you didn't disappoint. The placement is perfect and having the yard and driveway just gives it so much character, I'm glad you went for four base plates - it really does deserve it.

For the McCallisters, I hope you design the driveway like it was in the movie and maybe build a small garage to represent when Kevin sees the cars still at home. Also, it would be cool to have the yard covered in white to represent snow.
The Simpsons house looks so nice with the driveway and all the added stuff. Awsome job making the yard look identical to the show!

Looks amazing! I only did 2 baseplates for now and then I added some extra pink smooth plates to the top of the Simpson's car. Mine is mimicking the og intro right after Bart skateboards off Homer's car & I have Flanders waving over the fence. Love love love this set.

I think you might add some radioactive barrels into the front yard. We all know that Homer likes to bring the dangerous material from his work by mistake. Adding some spill from it would be good and it would bring live into that front yard.
I wait until 10 so I can watch his daily videos, keep it up!
You've done the Simpsons house super proud, fantastic job Bricksie! In fact I wish Lego would make these sets complete like this with the yard and its features, rather than just include some yard accessories. I didn't start collecting Lego until 2015 so just missed out on this one.

This looks really great!! I think I will actually have to rebuild mine now and do something similar. The 4 baseplates give it room to breath. Maybe to fill up some of the space on the lawn, have Homer with a lawnmower cutting the grass. He’d be less hidden than in the car too.

This is fantastic. It makes such a difference to the set. I think you should add a hammock in the garden for Homer, a lawn mower not being used, a gravestone for Snowball I and the BBQ built really badly lol
I really like, when you come up with different ideas and solution for your Lego city. Nice work.
Just an idea you could create some Statues or sculpturs to place in the city.

How much can you get the Simpson's House and Kwik-E-Mart Sets for these days? Ballpark....Sealed? Used?
Also, now seeing that Home Alone house, that really should be like twice the depth (Front to Back), not just a rectangular, but maybe thats just me? I'd also probably add a few studs to the simpson's house so I could have stairs and the layout would then make sense, but again, thats just me though, lol. I'm kind of a perfectionist!
i would put jumper's on that plate for simpsons house myself as like to be able to access inside also myself

The house looks just right out of Springfield!!! Great job Bricksie! I have a question, where can I get a Simpsons house without having to spend $600-$700? I understand this is a retired set so new sealed would cost a pretty penny. Any suggestions?

Maybe once you get enough parts for more giant trees you should add one to the front yard for the Simpsons house? The front yard looks a bit empty but the mils plate helps a lot and just 1 tree would a dd a lot of detail to it.

Bricksie, had you wanted (and possessed the proper tiles and plates) could you have converted the Simpson House into a modular so you could still have access to the first floor rooms once upit was on the MILS plate???

The car can use a rebuilt from the scratch. It's the wrong shape. Should be able to fit in the whole family, so the garage should be bigger too. Homer can use is home clothe instead of his work clothe. I would put on better roof tile pieces Nice work. I thought pets and treehouse and the yards were missing too, thank you. Maggie should be a customised piece that can be carried in Marge's arms, don't you agree? Use clay and then paint it???? Can build cloud that says The Simpsons, and Jesus with 5 fingers and death above the house. I hope they make Family Guy and Rick and Morty next time. A big IF, I have the pieces, I would build Christmas deco for the occasion to arise. And LED to turn on inside the house.
