I had to switch to Swedish goggles a few years ago when I started having eye irritation problems from the suction of traditional silicone gasket models. They made a huge difference for me and I liked them just fine, but I like the Socket Rockets even more. The cushioning feels great, and (for me) it makes them less likely to leak while still having way less suction on the eyes than standard goggles. I highly recommend them for anyone having eye problems with their current goggles.
I love the way swedish googles fit my eyes. There are googles produced by Turbo called Grenoble - swedish with silicone gasket, good antifog and really low price. I gave them a try one day. And then I switched from tyr to turbo.
I have a pair of MP Chronos goggles, they are comfortable but you need to apply anti fog spray every time you use them. Other then that, they are great.
I have multible pairs of these and the malmsten goggles. I do find these a bit better for racing, as they won't come of as easy as the malmsten. Instead of the low quality straps I change it up for bungee straps and I'm good
I've recently started swimming again for triathlon, I used to swim competitively and used to use the Godfrey mk 2 goggles, since starting training again I tried various goggles and am now using the selfish design again they cost me about 4 quid...can't go wrong 😃
The Socket Rocket 2.0's are the best goggles I've ever used. Been using sweedish goggles since i was 12 and now as an adult, I like the silicone gasket and the price. Slap a bungee strap on those bad-boys and you have the most adjustable goggles ever made. Also, regarding fogy goggles, there's no such thing as "no fog" goggles. Thankfully, it's wicked easy to flip the goggles up, swish out the insides with your finger, then flip back down to push off for the next set.
I use original swedes and they suction onto my eyes just fine even without the gasket. Might just be my eye sockets being weird compared to normal or something but they basically never leak. I also love the swedix from arena but honestly I prefer original swedes, especially the brown tinted ones.
Had a pair of Jaked Swedish goggles with a rubber seal years ago, found them a great hybrid to convert to the full Swedish. Now I can’t get enough of the Speedo Swedish. Don’t think I’ll ever go back to a rubber seal goggle again
Always reliant on the Arena Swedix version, similar price and a much better strap imo, the newest mirrored pair are also a v sharp looking pair of goggles
I have the orange mirrored ones. I have to say they are really comfortable and offer great visibility, but, they do scratch really easily. Like every time I want to clean them or take off the fog, there is a risk of scratching them just with my nails.
@@TheSwimsuitGuy yes unfortunately, I use them in open water and have to take them off and put them back every 15-20 minutes to let some fresh air clean the fog
Damn I asked about these goggles last video and ur doing a review Do u think the MP swedish type goggles are solid (I already have a pair so if not needed I wouldn't wanna buy a different pair)
@@TheSwimsuitGuy That sucks. We have the same issue here the lifeguards hate competitive swimmers because people complain we pass too much and we swim on intervals even when we're in the fast lane. Not much can be done when we pass the next fastest people every 50... I feel your pain.

Can you do a video on the MP Chronos ? I thought they looked interesting it would be nice to see a review on them

Hopefully at one point
@@willerdtmann9587 But I think that is the case for almost all of swedish goggles
I have a pair of speedo swedish goggles and they don't fog up all that often. I don't know if it's me or if I have a lucky pair.
They're more or less than same as any of those padded swedes
My racing goggle of choice. But i swap out the straps for a bungee
TYR SOCKET ROCKET vs ARENA SWEDIX vs SPEEDO swedish version???????? Please, help me
Swedix if silicone wanted, if not Swedish
I’ve been using the Arena swedix recently, similar style and no issues with fogging. Can’t got wrong at £12 for a mirrored pair!
Yes Swedish goggles in general are way to good value

Yes I've never tried bungee straps but probably makes them feeling nicer.

The beard has got longer on the egg.
Needs to come off aha
Just bought a pair and i can't wait to try them!

I have a pair waiting in UK, the Bishamon are coolest looking things ever!
Tried the tyr socket rocket but much prefer the arena swedes, more comfortable and durable in my experience
Yes I'll be trying swedix and reviewing soon
Cody Miller might disagree with you about clear goggles.
Each to their own

I think fog is the biggest downside sadly

@@TheSwimsuitGuy ok, it would definitely be exciting to see a review!
I been rockin these for years man y’all late
I got my first pair in 2010
How about the durability ?
so so
Have you tried the Fastskin elite mirror goggles?
I have

David Lloyd Colchester, lovely pool but no Backstroke flags and staff hate competitive swimming.

A goggle review, yes! I got a pair of socket rockets for Christmas and can't wait to wear them!
Hope you enjoy
@@TheSwimsuitGuy I certainly enjoyed! Keep up the amazing content!
