all 3 lead actresses were so good but i thought Tiraji's performance was worthy of a best actress nomination i was glad to see Octavia Spencer receive another nomination she was very sublte but so wonderful to see her acting
Donald Kramer You thought jada smith acted well? I thought she acted out of character for the era. Seemed unbelievable. Sorry in this era a woman, no matter her race, did not speak like that. Why the womans movement followed the civil rights movement. Women saw they were treated as poorly or more poorly than minorities. Especially minority women being mistreated by their male counterparts.
Kirsten did such a good job with this serious, somewhat unlikable at first role... That I honestly didn't realize it was her the first time I saw the movie in the theater... I actually though "Huh...that actress looks like a more mature version of Kirsten Dunst" lol
yo, I had to check out the behind the scenes movie clips to see how she looks compared to movie, and she doesn't look that much different!!!! Time wasn't good for her.
Okay, that makes sense, so glad you cleared that up lol. But it was so cool to see her act in this demeanor. No evidence of No bubbly valley girl at all! Hope she gets some recognition around award time!
I actually thought the same thinggggggggggg... I thought her "tired" attitude was "Ugh, I have to work with THESE ladies"... but then I bought the DVD and watched the deleted footage and found out that the Director had a really good backstory for Vivian (scenes were filmed w/ Kirsten and Octavia). The scene was ultimately deleted, but the Director lets you know a lot of stuff about Vivian which would explain her characters attitude.
@@latrolettteeeeeee she absolutely was racist, just one if those that doesn’t think she is. One doesn’t have to burn a cross on a person’s lawn or call them the N word to be a racist. It’s interesting she couldn’t bend the rules for the Black women however wanted Dorthy to for her white computers. You can bury your head in the sand if you like but she was definitely racist.
@@shortcare5933 Agreed, racism comes in subtle forms of Dog Whistles, as people nowadays cannot say how they truly feel since they are racist and weak, and know saying it so 'out there' would be bad. It surprised me that she said pretty obviously that she thought it wasn't racist. This all will take so long to educate the uneducated.
Love the movie & Ms. Dunst's role in it. But a little constructive criticism here folks - Sound Editing! I had to ride the volume control as the clips were about twice the volume of her comments. Easily fixed & would greatly improve the quality of your video.
I am amazed that an actor can play in a film like this and still not understand that racism is an immersive social construct - Vivienne was a racist for sure, John Glenn wasn't.
I've just come to know to know of the book and the movie and I've watched some interviews and trailers. To me it sounds like a super super hero movie, Ms Dunst!. I'm going to buy the book and I'm looking forward to the arrival of the movie in South Africa.

I was shocked at how old she looks. I'm not kidding, when she first appeared on screen there were audible gasps in the theater. At first I thought it was makeup for the role but it wasn't. Her neck already has 'tree rings'! She's only 34 and she looks at least ten years older.
It's the nature of the beast. One is free to comment on her acting or her looks or both. It's all part of the same package and subject to all manner of criticism, both good and bad. Tony Garcia Her statement is that it is set up so the blacks are lower classed employees, in her case her subordinates. Rod Williams kirsten dunst has high cheekbones but a very broad face and she has gained some weight, especially in her face so you don’t really see any bone structure, plus she is very fair skinned.
Not racist. A 'hard-azz' YES!! Classist and unfriendly? Yes, but I like the character's social breadth to understand how NASA and employment worked in promotions of women in general.

She was almost unrecognizable. She looks older than 34, her acting has improved though.
I was just saying that. I mean I JUST finish watching The Virgin Suicides and that was only 16 years ago.
G GFleur she looks a lot older than 34. She aged badly. Felicity Jones from Star Wars force awakens is 33 and looks a lot younger than her.

She's a known drug addict, been that way since she was a teen. Probably why she worked on this crap shack of a movie. Meth, it's a hell of a drug.
“ it’s not another superhero 🦸🏻♂️ movie .”
Appreciate that she wanted to make this film because it was of substance and meaning . This will inspire

kirsten dunst is not playing a teenager in a cheerleading skirt anymore. loooool. i was shocked to see her play a middle aged woman.
danceballetacro she was actually a teenager in bring it on...that's crazy

Yes Kirsten no superheroes or vampires biting on your neck, good for you.

her character is completely racist ! Its funny to see her defend the character..

Yes. She was racist. She almost lost her mind when John overlooked the white women, and went over to speak to the black women.
She was low key racist. She may have had another backstory however that doesn’t also mean she wasn’t racist as well.
I can't wait to see this.....
Its hard to pretend to be racist. Well said Kirsten. You played a great role.
I like Kristen dust she's one ofmy favorite actress
Wow she looks older but her acting was awesome
Calm down folks she looks just fine
Yes, everybody; just clam down. It will be alright!!
Kirsten is 34 years old here. Its nice to see real lines on her neck and a few crows feet. Grow old gracefully.
34 is not old growing old gracefully is for middle aged women not young women in ther 30s
This is definitely not growing old gracefully. I am 48 not one wrinkle, crows feet or a grey hair. Sorry sweetie she has not aged well at all.
No disrespect to Kirsten Dunst. This is a superhero movie. Anyone can be a superhero when their natural abilities are allowed to shine.
