Remember the floor sign that read "Temporal radiation levels escalate exponentially beyond this threshold - likelihood of spaghettification increases 7,000% - proceed with caution". Timely was spaghettified.
22:28 You're forgetting the bit he told Loki the part about falling into a Black Hole and the spaghettification--that's what happened to Victor Timely. Oddly enough, however, his strands disintegrated into a mist of particles and looked to be pulled back into the TVA.
We should keep in mind that He Who Remains (HWR) specifically had Ravonna and Miss Minutes go to the Sacred Timeline to get Victor Timely--he planned this! HWR knew everything, so surely, he knew what Miss Minutes would do. She might have written her own programs, but he and everyone at the TVA still had control over her, as she Minutes is subject to the commands of the TemPad.
Why was it necessary for Miss Minutes to take one last swipe at Victor? Victor was in awe at what he had built and he wanted to know much more about it. Being told that he would never be the person he was that built the TVA surely made him want to be the one to save it--getting him outside was deliberate, no? Why was it necessary to get him outside the TVA exposed to all of that temporal Radiation with a throughput multiplier by his side? Is this all part of a much larger scheme?
I don't see what happened as the end, mainly because we still have two episodes left, but because this was all scene and planned by HWR. We also know that HWR has protocols in place, so what protocols did he have in place for when he's at the TVA? The protocols would have been reactivated as OB had booted Miss Minutes out of the system well before Victor gave the TVA his temporal aura which would have told the system that HWR was on the premises. For someone who was so obsessed with watching over all of time and keeping it his, you'd assume that he'd make sure to protect his trophy from the Multiversal War and himself here. He didn't have to die last season, yet he chose to. What's going on here.
Miss Minutes isn't to be trusted, but for some reason Ravonna believed everything Miss Minutes showed her. Was that 100% accurate or doctored? Ravonna didn't even ask Miss Minutes WHY HWR was conflicted with his order. Ravonna isn't privy to this, but we know from last season when HWR introduced himself to the Loki Variants that he said that he had been dubbed many names by many people, "a ruler, a conqueror, He Who Remains, a jerk." Who called him "a jerk?" That's not something just anyone would say, but someone who knew him intimately. That water ring we saw on Ravonna's desk back in season one was from HWR's drink, no Mobius'. We all likely thought she was lying to Mobius when she told him that he did it when he was last there, but we now know that everyone at the TVA have all had their minds erased, and probably more than once. The person doing it was Miss Minutes. HWR gave the order, but it was Miss Minutes who always carried it out, she was his personal assistant and she was the one with administrative control at the TVA. Miss Minutes has been shown to be a schemer and a manipulator this season, so I don't think we should take anything she says at face value.
Even though things appear to have gone very, very badly for Victor Timely, I'm not too sure it is the end for him. He actually has a lot in common with HWR, and I'm not just saying this because he's a variant, but because the two are eccentric in the same ways, much more than the other Kang Variants we've seen. Victor lacks his confidence and knowledge, and why shouldn't he? HWR had a million lifetime's of knowledge under his belt. Victor was born just after Slavery ended in the states, and we all know life wasn't easy for him. We can likely assume he was self taught and was dealt a lot of failures because of the period in which he lived. Everything he saw in his head were the things his variants could do--remember Multiverse of Madness confirmed that dreaming is the gateway to your variants' actions. If Victor was given just a few years to wrap his mind around the things he's seen at the TVA and what HWR had accomplished, he'd find his own confidence, which would put him more on par with HWR.
Anything could happen with this story, sure, but I think we can all agree that this isn't Mephisto's doing =P
Hey Smols family ... been a while since I've commented on one of your reactions. Took a bit of a social media break for various reasons. I've watched all of your LOKI season 2 reactions and first I wanna say Grandma Smols could be a damn fashion icon. Love her smile and cracked up after her "that's what phones looked like" comment. I swear every time you make the same STAR WARS comment that I make in my head when watching any of these shows and I love it.
As for this amazing episode, and a fantastic 2nd season so far, I think this was the plan. All the timelines are freed and I wished they hadn't given it away in the early trailers. I'm going with everything has been reset and Loki is going to timeslip between all the other characters' realities as he brings them back to the TVA which I wouldn't be surprised ends up being created by O. B.

Pretty sure we just witnessed the mcu’s version of the Big Bang and the origin of how the infinity stones were hurdled across the multiverse as doctor strange explains. Making how they were created lost to a paradox. Great reaction as always!! That cliffhanger ending though… agh. The explosion of the tva gave the multiverse the magic of the infinity stones. That’s my theory

No, we basically just witnessed the destruction of the sacred timeline and the start of the multiversal Kang invasion beginning. Considering the scenes we've seen from the final two episodes, it has nothing to do with the origin of the infinity stones at all. There's a reason Marvel kept the final two episodes from reaction channels and only sent the first four screeners out ahead of time. They are either completely rebooting the MCU already, or setting up Kang's arrival at the end setting up Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.

"Loki is always after power" - not really. Not anymore. That was the story of the whole first season. He was willing to allow He Who Remains Live and give up his free will to save the multiverse. Loki isn't trying to gain control over the TVA for power, but because he's seen the alternative and it's so much worse.
True. But someone can still want power for the right reasons.

I think Victor did the 'sacrifice' at the end to use the 'multiplier' to make many copies of himself through out the timelines.
