People have a really weird respect boner for lawyers I just don't get. 50-80% of the law is just bullshitting convincingly enough to get the judge/jury to agree with you; the actual words written in the statute are often irrelevant. I was a fan but I remember when she got called out for saying something and for the way she approached the topic in a video, and that was whatever to me, but her response to the call out was just to brush it off and be quite immature. (mostly trying to discredit the people trying to request that she be more professional, ignored all the genuine requests and chose to pretend everyone criticising her was some underage child who didn't know what they were talking about, rather than actual adults who had well-reasoned arguments as to what aspects of her video were harmful and xenophobic.) Like i don't care if someone says something stupid, (even if it was scripted and preventable) we all make mistakes. but her response was so incredibly immature for someone who should've known better. I saw the same trend everytime she was criticised over something and it just tainted my perspective of her.

What's sad about this, is this whole attitude of "don't steal my editing style" is unbelievably common among online artists and creatives. The online art community *does not* understand what plagiarism actually is. They get so worked up about "OC don't steal" they think that people asking for plug-ins to emulate a particular edit is plagiarism. That's like asking a painter what kind of brush and colour he used. She was completely wrong, and the way she responded, and continues to respond, is just awful.

I've been an artist for years and I just can't stand the community, it's seriously bad. For as much as it's beneficial it's equally awful.
People get so worked up about their art and trying to fit in to some community somehow but first and foremost just make art you like, enjoy it, and if it makes you miserable then don't force it. And most importantly don't interact with the other phycopath artist influencers on the internet.

Content creators on the other hand depend solely upon their fanbase and how big it is. It determines how much money they'll make, how much influence they have, how much oppurtunities they'll get, and how long they can go for. And at some point, content creators realized that the best way to build up that fanbase is not to hope that your authentic self is good enough, but rather to create an unauthentic self that is good enough and use that whenever you need to. So whenever they're on camera, they'll act a certain way. Whenever they're voicing their opinion on something, they'll go for the take that will be the least controversial and get the least amount of backlash regardless of what they actually believe in. When choosing who to support in some sort of internet beef or something, they'll go for whoever is the favourite.

What's even worse was that the girls at school would also abuse me verbally and emotionally. And at home I've had it even worse because my mother would often verbally abuse me and beat me with anything she can lay her hands on just because I wasn't a good son to her.

Sound engineers do the exact same thing, ask "how did you do it?", not looking for complete answer but simply tips.. And it is considered rude to not tell them, you don't show every single detail but just generics, like what FX plugin was used, how things were routed etc. It is then up the each and everyone to learn and master those methods. Think about it. you have to have a high view of yourself to make yt videos because out of the millions of voices, yours deserves to be heard. The ones that possess this trait will attract attention, but in the long run there will always be *something* that inevitably exposes their true colors. And these true colors are mostly not that which the viewers, aka the ones not „gifted“ with the ego to actually make our voice be heard, likes. This also happens regardless of political orientation or interest. on top of my head I can name 5 people who have nothing to do with eachother or their interests that all had their own little scandals and got exposed for one thing or the other. The only ones exempt from this are the content creators that ironically not self propagize, but actually just want to create something for others. With enough fame, they may also go down that slope, but the fact they mostly don’t care about recognition and usually deal with very inoffensive stuff, gives them a bit of a shield imo.

This is a great example of how victims will usually all come out at once, even if the events took place long ago. One person coming out and being believed sets a chain reaction of others who been through the same. Whenever a man goes down for being an abuser or r***, and several women come forward, everyone’s quick to call it sus that victims all call out their abuser/r*** seemingly out of nowhere and at the same time. But it’s a super common thing that I wish people would understand.

One of the most annoying things about illuminaughty/ Blair is that she seems to think because shes is some sort of quasi-celebrity and that her affluence is why people are turning their backs on her. She acts like this situation is this cataclysmic event that was created in order to ruin her. She is such a piece of work for that reason. Real genuine people who have made their way up the ladder of relevance try to hang on to their success every way they can. For most people that means keeping their integrity and remaining graciously appreciative of where they are in life. For people like her it's been strong arming those who aren't as high up on the aforementioned ladder. I honestly don't think there is anything that could save her career at this point unless her strategy of doubling down and sending out C&Ds all over UA-cam is attracting new subscribers. That being said, her existing subscribers that are still hanging on are only doing so for three reasons: they either A) are able to separate the "art from the artist" and don't find the ensuing drama enticing. B) they are simply hoping to hear more from her in hopes of seeing this thing to the end or C) forgot they were subbed and haven't cared enough to check. In any case those who stick around are definitely allowing Blair to slide on a lot but what's really sad is the remaining fans are the ones she will have to thank for keeping any shred of her career intact. Let's hope she doesn't pull a Rachel Hollis and ignore everyone who stuck by her after her downfall.

1:36 she didn't just pick on someone her own size, she picked on someone her own size who is also more poised and professional than her (not to mention far more educated in the subject of plagiarism seeing as LegalEagle is a copyright lawyer). This was basically a high school mean girl trying to take on a fucking lawyer, thinking she'd win. That tweet going after LegalEagle was a calculated move, and BOY is she bad at math.
Edit to add: But I'm kinda glad she started a fight she couldn't win. Because she couldn't just take that L with dignity and move on, she had to shoot herself in the foot. The thing about lies is they always have a way of being found out eventually.
