Cully is an endearing term we use for our subscribers... it is of Irish and Gaelic origin, and the meaning of Cully is "the woods" or as a name it means great chief or hey 👋🏽 or in a female sense, it's means Dove 🕊. So just our little touch on a more heart felt greeting. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
You guys just randomly popped up on my recommended videos. Get a real sense of peace, simplicity, tranquility and just happiness from you two. You emit a great energy! I’m very inspired by your attitude. Perspective really IS reality.
Two grounded down to earth individuals💜much respect.im houseless, live in a tent and resonate with all you mentioned in this video.less baggage more freedom. I've been at my woodland spot for 5 months, peace, beauty and free to do what I wish and that's shared with my staffy and loyal friend, night vision in the dark,I don't use torches,I have a night vision scope that helps avoid people. You live like me and I respect you both 1*000% two nice natural beings.💜
I’ve only just found your channel and I’m really pleased. You’re lovely and your dog is lovely. I live mainly in bed and need carers sometimes it’s bleak so you tube takes me outside and now I have your videos to catch up upon. Thank you. I’m so glad you found one another.
You guys are super amazing, genuine, and I actually envy your lifestyle. I think the peace, inner peace, must be unreal living in the woods. Good for you and you are a lovely couple too x
I’m fascinated by your lifestyle, I’ve always wanted to live an alternative life in nature but I couldn’t live outside as you do. I spend a few nights rough as a teen and they were really scary and are imprinted in my brain. Obviously was very different to your situation and not by choice. You both seem so happy and you have been very creative to find ways to support your selves with your odd jobs and UA-cam. Happy New Year.
6:00 talking about fridges, we didn’t actually have one in the late 60s and we just used the larder which was cool as we had no central heating. When my mum made a jelly, she would put it on the back doorstep with a cloth over it so that it would set and no bugs landed on it. Amazing how having gadgets have taken such a hold on us.
Yes, my mother didn't get a fridge until the mid 70's. We all managed perfectly well with our big old larder. I'm sure half the gadgets we have now we could do without.
Such a beautiful message. Thank you. Honestly, my core is the same as yours. 10 years ago I left the UK and have been living nomadicly in Nepal and India. Okay, I stay in mountain huts up the himalayas. But my true connection is with nature. And the bug has not left me yet. Thank you for sharing. This path is defo not the easiest. But it's the most aligned to who I am as a person, human, and natural being. Long live us!
I live in a small 3 berth caravan year round. This is my third winter. Just living in Nature has done so much for my mental health....it is a hard life but you know...before enlightenment carry water.chop wood. After enlightenment..carry water chop wood. 60 this year...find you inspiring..just too expensive to live in bricks and mortar now. Happy New Year.❤
How have I not seen you wonderful people on UA-cam before now…. I lived in my hot tent for years, then I found my wife, back in doors now unfortunately. All the best🙌 I shall definitely be watching through your content, you seem like genuinely good souls.
Your channel popped up on my UA-cam a couple of days ago. Thank you so much for sharing your life. I'm enjoying watching your videos. Wishing you a Happy and peaceful 2025. 😃
Originally thought you were saying Cali, which is my dogs name in greek for beauty!! Now I understand! What a lovely way to greet your viewers. You might not be rich, but to be surrounded by trees and peace...that is priceless! Good health and happiness to you.
Fascinating. Another revenue stream could be teaching/ mentoring people who want to adopt the lifestyle. And because you do this without impact you’d be doing a service. Happy new year to you both ❤
This was so enlightening and exciting! Hearing about how you thrive in this cold weather is truly inspiring. The fact that you’ve chosen this lifestyle out of your own free will is absolutely fantastic. I love how open you are and how freely you share your way of life-it’s so refreshing. Real-life nomads like you are setting the bar high and showing us all how it’s done! 🌟
Sitting here in Switzerland with lots of snow outside (-5c). Hearing about temperatures as low as -8c, listening to your video looks like this isn’t bothering you. Point taken am your fridge and no bugs to deal with in the winter. My car boot doubles up as a fridge in winter. Thanks for your videos

Never had a fire once not even in the winter fires make you smell And even though you can’t smell it other people can. If you go to a chip shop or fast food outlet when they closing tell them you live in a tent. They will usually give you more food than you can eat because they’re only throw it away. I would always wait till it’s nearly dark put up my tent pack up aways early in the morning. Nobody would know I’ve been there put my tent in the thicket hedgerows bush would be totally hidden. The last thing I would want is to light a fire and give my camp away. I had no income I would find money on the road I become wise to nowhere to look for it.❤
Thanks for all the smiles as I've found your channel and binge watched...especially the platinum spring search! Crazy is what crazy does...and you found the source! Well Done!
On a boat myself, love nature feeling the weather makes you feel connected. Haven't had a fridge for 20 years, raised 3 kids this way. Great video thanks for sharing.
Bless you both you are an amazing couple and i can see the happiness in your eyes :) i wish you all the best that you deserve. Think i need some woods time i havnt been tenting for years now. HAPPY NEW YEAR🎉
Admirable lifestyle. You are comfortable and not hurting anyone, and seem happy and well. Ive a friend that does similar and she joined a gym because its 24 hour access to inside if needed, its quiet in the night, showers, and is maybe useful if a big storm is coming in. Some allow you to switch gyms. Just a thought.
Thanks guys 👍 You're awesome 👌. Each to their own...and there's a lot to be said for living out in nature...in a shtf scenario, you'll be best equipped to cope. I'm always amazed that weekend warriors on the camping front lecture people who live outdoors, and make it work 🤔🤷. I'm learning from watching you, because as a car dweller ( with a government that seems to be hell bent on getting rid of them for all but the richest), my next step might be living in the woods. Keep on log hopping 👌

The comment about the more you earn the more you spend (without satisfaction) rings so true. It’s a consumerist treadmill which the rest of us are stuck on. The endorphin rush of a new nonessential purchase lasts for very little time.
I live near Thetford Norfolk, I have a house to live in but spend a lot of time in the forest! The forest area around here is immense, there's so many areas to get away from people and do your own thing! I'd also recommend traveling the Pedars Way, to the North Norfolk coast!

This Channel is so so Fab.I found it by accident or perhaps the algorithm found this for me as I love minimal and simple living which I practice myself after a life changing event ( found myself in a messy split after 19 years together and had to start all over again), only your way of life is even more minimal and inspirational should you want to live out doors nomad style as long as you are happy owning the basics to get by which in essence is natural as the human race has become creatures of ownership....sorry to be deep..... Take care both ❤
I have wild camped once, with no tent, and I will always remember the badger and the buck I saw. It was magical, but also uncomfortable on a ground sheet. You are living a life truly connected to nature. If I was doing it full time though, I would worry about what I was acheiving long term. What are your long term goals or are you just living day to day? I guess with the way the world is going you may be ahead of the curve. God bless beautiful souls 🤍❄️🤍
@VirtualHumanBeing we've achieved what we wanted in the past, but now is the future... the only goal is to be happy and content, we'll not stop this lifestyle now until we drop. Thanks and HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
Awww bless you, that's awesome Cully. We remember you with ya feet up watching us on the tv lol. Cheers for sticking around. Glad you're here. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼 to you too.
@@loghoppers thank you for your videos. loved the cans of red stripe. I worked at M&S Head Office in Baker street and we had red stripe in our pub/club on draft for 1 pound a pint.
I was.living this life over 30 years ago as a teen street rat, foraging food and begging for powdered milk.and tampons, never stayed in towns were I was a target, even had my.first kiddo living a tree life, we had eaten wild animals, plants and he ran around the woods in a massive t-shirt covered in mud and leaves, I do miss it, we did have fire but they were underground one's, hahaha I still leave everything outside in winter to keep.cold.or frozen, love you guys.for this
Happy New Year! I'm in my 60's and live in a house. My bedding consists of a sleeping bag and that's it. I also have a camp stretcher in the lounge area under the aircon. I can't believe I literally WASTED most of my life trying to put on bloody doona covers!
I am so glad that you are finding fulfilment in your lives. It really is a brave and honest thing to do knowing what is best for you. There are many people who must feel very trapped in their lives. More so than ever before. To be honest our environment in the end will dictate whether we are able to continue living the way we do, in buildings, as it is very clear nothing is permanent in our world. I don’t have your skills it takes lots of experience and common sense and acceptance of the natural world. I am envious in a way, and I love the cold of winter nothing better than being in it, to then appreciate the warm once more. ❤
I greatly look forward to your videos next year,I’ve found that the most interesting people are the ones that do with very little stuff but who have a massive amount of character.
Happy New Years, good luck, and good health folks.😀Happy Hopping wishes for all 3 of you. I Totally get low impact and leave the land as you find it a fantastic ethos. Total respect for you and your life choices. As for using the outdoor fridge..it works. I live in a cold place, the old folks here put the frozen stuff out the window in winter, because its colder than a domestic freezer. Have a wonderful week, stay as you are, you're awesome.😃 I am really looking forward to foraging in future updates. When back in the UK, my wife and I will go nomad again, but choosing a boat this time.
You are both awesome, you have your own system, a natural system and so understanding of the environment, how did you manage when you broke your hip and how did you break your hip? Doesn't the cold affect the situation since you broke your hip? You are awesome duo.
No probs with pain, feels weird sometimes. But have a look at ua-cam.com/video/jeUjqMe4DyQ/v-deo.htmlsi=ADUk3lNDTCTsDKTF Think I go more into it. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
I think it's really good for my health to be out in the winter elements. Even when it's -20's here, Poland, as an ex pat I find it so amazing to be in it and I don't seem to get colds as much as I did in the UK.
You are spot on about tents in winter. I used to go up into the woods for days with my 2 Huskies in a tent. Never got cold. 2 season sleeping bag and a small alcohol stove. Sorted.
And there we are!! People.really do underestimate themselves or choose the wrong gear. Always great to have a companion or 2 to stay warm aye. This is sort of what we're trying to say to people, that it is absolutely possible in such a temperate climate too. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
Another new subscriber here 👋. Working my way through your videos. Really admire your low impact lifestyle. I bet it's a great life for your dog too. More dog content please! 😆.
Lot of useful information. You are spot on regarding not lighting fires. Hopefully your example will be followed by others who opt to camp out in the wild who seemed to think they have a god given right to have a camp fire. Good luck.
Thank you again for a lovely informative video. I will get around to watching them all That must have been scary when you broke your hip. Happy new year stay safe x
Hey log hoppers , love the channel, I myself love camping and getting back to nature, just a quick note about fires, decathlon do a brilliant aluminium wood stove, it only about 10/11 inches around and maybe 12/14 inches tall. Brilliant piece of kit.
I live near Bude and during the hot summer days you see all the holidaymakers leaving the beach at around 5:00pm and the local go on there with their BBQs, make fires and get in the sea etc.
you right the stress with fuel.. engines ... Etc.. is so overwhelming especially in winter! I'm a solo boater lady so can't do what you guys are doing have tho a female dog that keeps me warm in bed 😂 but yea I'm amazed by your life standards that's the way to go !! Keep safe in the next few months ahead it's cold right now !! Happy hoping 😊
@Denise-h2k lol, yeah.. so true. But our cold snaps are so brief, they pass and it's summer again lol. Winter is our best time of year for us personally. Stay warm and safe. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
I know you're bossing the cold weather guys, but this weekend sounds like it's going to be record breaking lows. Just a heads-up in case you can do any extra prep to keep safe. Love you're videos, you two are awesome x
Morning Av been thinking of doing this my childhood amazing memories 6 weeks every summer I miss the tent times with grandparents & family ( picking fruit) 🍑 stopped in the 80s Am so wanting to go bk to tent life in give up flat ✨🏴
Fascinating, love the way you explain your lifestyle in such simple terms. Offer always open for Herts and I've learnt camping is legally allowed for 28 days in that particular place. Paperwork eh! Hoptastic!!
Another comment. People can live in tents. Many are happy with this. I bet if you gave the right people some land they could set up tent communities and be very responsible and it would be a great place to live. They could also take their tents and visit other communities (with permission from that community of course). This would seriously help the housing crisis. It's like though the government does not want to make things easy for people, except them, with all their payoffs of the speech circuit / revolving door from bankers/MIC etc etc. they pleased with polices.
The toilet issue would get to me. Health issues mean I have to “ go” often. Leaving my warm sleeping bag several times a night, dealing with it many times during the day, would really get me down. You respect the environment and I respect that
Happy new year! Yes, the question why not a car could be mine. Especially bc I like the save space provided by a car a lot. Also with a small car you can blend in urban areas perfectly. But you explained quite well why for you the tent is best. Thanxs. Maybe when I get the time in my nonnomadic life I'll build something like a debris shelter to find out if this could combine isolation with dry condition because of nonhermetical wall/roof.
What a great informative video. Found out fav, tent, favourite, youtuber, fav partner.hahaha. great find out about dog noises, I wondered about that. This video be the most watched in end.. least , hopefully the public can see your sincerity and genuineness in answers, but hope the public annoy u again about tarps.lol.. ❤❤
Hi folks, loving your channel. I like to camp at the hill of Tara in county meath, Ireland and other locations, during Pagan/celtic events etc. Thanks for making me get excited to get out into nature this year 😃
I am waiting for a new hip and have had DVT in the past, plus other problems and the NHS have been SUPERB whatever the situation. Incidentally I sent you an email about a portrait commission, no rush though.
You two are commendable! Well done for living the life you want, you both look very happy. Hopefully I'll have the pleasure of meeting you both (and your dog) one day, and chat over a beer or two, I think you're fascinating 🍻

love your channel. may I ask what are your plans for when you get older and less mobile?
WOW thank you, really appreciated.. so kind. Who knows what the future may bring, but we'll carry on as we are. Live for today. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
@@loghoppers thank you for your videos. loved the cans of red stripe. I worked at M&S Head Office in Baker street and we had red stripe in our pub/club on draft for 1 pound a pint.
Happy New Year you three! I really admire you guys!
I was.living this life over 30 years ago as a teen street rat, foraging food and begging for powdered milk.and tampons, never stayed in towns were I was a target, even had my.first kiddo living a tree life, we had eaten wild animals, plants and he ran around the woods in a massive t-shirt covered in mud and leaves, I do miss it, we did have fire but they were underground one's, hahaha I still leave everything outside in winter to keep.cold.or frozen, love you guys.for this
Awesome, great stories of the past aye. Thank you and HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
Happy New Year! I'm in my 60's and live in a house. My bedding consists of a sleeping bag and that's it. I also have a camp stretcher in the lounge area under the aircon. I can't believe I literally WASTED most of my life trying to put on bloody doona covers!
That's duvet covers for UK folks!
Brilliant, you guys are so open and honest, you do get asked some awkward questions. Hope the new year going ok so far.
❤
Indeed. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
I might do this when my daughter leaves home.
A much healthier waybofmliving.
Wool clothing is one option to cut down on smells, as it naturally resists body odour.
Indeed, good advice. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
Thanks
Thank you, WOW. awesome, really appreciated.. thank you and HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
I greatly look forward to your videos next year,I’ve found that the most interesting people are the ones that do with very little stuff but who have a massive amount of character.
Thanks for posting this. Love seeing your videos - truly inspiring. Good luck!
Thank you, means alot. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
Came across your videos. Love them. All the best for the new year
Happy New Years, good luck, and good health folks.😀Happy Hopping wishes for all 3 of you.
Nice one, fair play. Thank you and to you too. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
You are both awesome, you have your own system, a natural system and so understanding of the environment, how did you manage when you broke your hip and how did you break your hip? Doesn't the cold affect the situation since you broke your hip? You are awesome duo.
No probs with pain, feels weird sometimes. But have a look at ua-cam.com/video/jeUjqMe4DyQ/v-deo.htmlsi=ADUk3lNDTCTsDKTF
Think I go more into it. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
I think it's really good for my health to be out in the winter elements. Even when it's -20's here, Poland, as an ex pat I find it so amazing to be in it and I don't seem to get colds as much as I did in the UK.
Great vid, Both ;-) Happy New Year ;-)
@percyob1 and to you too Cully. Hope 2025 is awesome. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
if only all people could be like you guys the world would be a better place
Perhaps lol, we'd like to think it would be a better place. But a better place needs better people right. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
Just spotted your dog. Do let him be part of your video.
Happy new year to both of you.
Thanks!
WOW thank you very much, so kind and appreciated. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
Two good people working as a team. WOW!
Cheers lol, unheard of aye.
Good luck.
happy new year both loved the breakdown you guys seem to know what you want /need so heres to a good 2025 for you guys all the best
Thank you again for a lovely informative video. I will get around to watching them all
That must have been scary when you broke your hip. Happy new year stay safe x
I too have a battery bank,&often utilise the good will of churches, donating appropriately!!
Big respect guys,so relatable.👍🤜🤛,🐿️
Happy hopping!!
I love you two, good on you living your way ❤❤
Thank you, many more years to come. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
This been so educational 👍thank you for sharing its been very helpful 👍👍👍👍
you right the stress with fuel.. engines ... Etc.. is so overwhelming especially in winter!
Nice to see your subs going up, very interesting channel.😊
Cheers guys for all your videos
I've learnt a few tips from you
Happy new year cheers
I know you're bossing the cold weather guys, but this weekend sounds like it's going to be record breaking lows. Just a heads-up in case you can do any extra prep to keep safe. Love you're videos, you two are awesome x
Nothing we can't handle. Sat in -6⁰C at the moment with a coffee and snug. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
Morning Av been thinking of doing this my childhood amazing memories 6 weeks every summer I miss the tent times with grandparents & family ( picking fruit) 🍑 stopped in the 80s Am so wanting to go bk to tent life in give up flat ✨🏴
Fab video, thank you for sharing your lifestyle so openly 👌
Great video guys! If you ever find yourselves on the mendips there’s always an open door, a coffee, a charge and a pitch up here. Just give a shout
Nice one, awesome. Thank you very muchly. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
What a cool life style! Much cooler than Bear Grylls. Humble but yet spectacular.
Id love to see more foraging videos, that would be super. Im learning so much from you two.
❤ glad to see you both ❤
Always interesting content, thanks for sharing your story and knowledge.
Would be perfect wouldn't it of we could do that.
Would be awesome to have traditional trade routes or safe passages. But we don't do communities, we're like to be on the move. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
The toilet issue would get to me. Health issues mean I have to “ go” often. Leaving my warm sleeping bag several times a night, dealing with it many times during the day, would really get me down. You respect the environment and I respect that
Yeah I couldn't handle the lack of access to good toilet cleanup. Yes I'm obsessive about that, is not normal I know.
Love the attitude guys brilliant 😊
❤ I love how you live x it's my dream I'm 60 female lol quite fit and healthy I woul be in my element escaping 😊
They no doubt will lol 😆 many out there lol, everyone wants to be a tarpologist lol 😆 HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
I have the same lanshan tent,so simple, may use it again soon but been snug in a hammock …bivvy bag is lighter option though …keep warm 🤗🥰
Happy New Year Cullies. I got a feeling that we are all going to be nomads soon. So getting info from the experts is a great way to gather knowledge on how to survive out in the world.
Thanks so much, Happy Hopping and keep up the excellent work. 🙏🎆
Bless you, you too. Yeah, the world's mad lol, just glad people are getting a little something from the vids. Hope.all is well and happy new year. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
Woods and nature is refreshing. As your generally away from blue light. Tv, lights, also bad things like microwave. So natural light is perfect. And real fresh air away from toxic heating.....Am beginning to lower my reliability on technology and get out more. So yeah great video
