- Yvonne was in full form here, as shows in the three top ten Euopean hits she had, and even managing a few top 40 in the U.S. She showed style, she showed flare, and she finally reached berth in the music industry. Her work here speaks for itself. Her voice so divine, her beauty, both inside and out, exquisite, and all that came with it. Not a dull moment on this album at all. RSO, picking her up when she did "Rising Sun" flashes her like a musical fashion show. So take the hint, and "Love Her." This song was another European hit and a minor hit in the U.S. and hitting the charts in other countries. Her peak the very next year in 1978 with "If I Can't Have You" was just on the horizon. You won't get this tune outta your mind, that's for sure!
Forgotten this lovely song......from nearly 50 years ago. Wonderful.

Met my wife in 1977, danced to this song quite a lot. Loved it then and still do. Sadly my wife passed away last year.

simply yvonne Elliman's best song, 2021 and i'm still listening, good quality music like this, goes with the teriritory of the times it came out the 70s. Today's souless world DOESNT produce music like this, because of de-humanisation. And a non optomistic society
So true Nigel and so sad. Love has become shot through with the search for filthy lucre. Then again in the 1970s class divides were not what they are now and life really was less toughly competitive. Love her. She was wonderful in Jesus Christ Superstar - i had never put the two together..

@@nigeldonaldson1647 ..I agree with you Nigel...my teenage years were the 70s...and the music then was brilliant as you can hear....it was a time when life was simple...optimism by the bucket load...now I'm sad looking back all the people who were part of my life have now gone, also some friendships too, but I've a lot of good memories...enjoy your day...
To every woman out there who has loved a guy who is taken but in your heart you know its you he wants..but it's your friend he has! This ballard hits it home how painful that can be..Realistically if he wanted you that much nothing would stand in his way...and that is the reality of this song...Best track she ever made in my opinion!

Yvonne Elliman was a True Powerhouse. Its very sad that she made her debut at the very end of the Disco era when this type of music was on its way out. She was a true asset to the music industry, she only came too little, too late for society to truly appreciate the talent that she possessed
