I have a short list of Master Musician Singer/Songwriters..Most are Jazz and Bluegrass musicians no one has heard of but at the top of my list is Steve Winwood
I remember going to one of their shows to promote this album. It was simply awesome. There has never really been another creation like Traffic. These guys give the concept of "musical space" a meaning all their own.
"I've heard it said people's souls chase the night Hoping for times that went before when their hearts were flying" Thanks for keeping the spirit of the 60's alive!
Thank for you this fantastic quality posting. I absolutely loved this album and tour. As others have said, Steve's voice just got better with age and he still sounds incredible. Thanks again!
Jimmy is for "Canal Jimmy", a french TV Channel that would air a lot of concerts, and also Jools Holland's shows for the french television. I recorded it on VHS back then!
Steve and Jim said they wanted to make an album that was like if Traffic had continued all these years, instead of going back to the way it would have been if made it in the late 60's. Here comes a man is a good song but as with the opening lyrics, "I've heard it said people's souls chase the night, hoping for times that went before when their hearts were flying" , instead of singing about it, I'd rather they made an album that was more reminiscent of the time when our hearts were flying.

Steve's guitar solo is simply amazing! Short but powerful.
I like this line up.

Steve Winwood, one of the most gifted and likeable musicians walking the planet.
Stevie Winwood is amazing!!!
Simply a fantastic performance. Great musicians!
You wiĺ never find a more humble musician
These new traffic postings are exquisite examples of Steves genius. Thanks so much
Great to see another Falloon out there.
@@norwegianzound Is indeed. Which bit of the planet do you call hereabouts Jack?

I love this album
Thanks!
Going back to 1971, I saw Traffic in Frankfurt Germany. Obviously, 50 years ago, and I still love to listen to Stevie.
Thanks for posting, Gaspard
Such treasures need to be shared!!
@@gstouff Thank you so much! Wonderful sound. This band lineup is terrific. Been a SW/Traffic fan since late 60's.
Nice

My pleasure 😊
What an amazing song 🎵
All right. Who gave this a thumbs down?
The great Davy Spillane on flute.
Is that Walfredo Reyes on congas? Love this lineup!
Yes it is!!
Winwood's voice got better with the years. Never heard of this version of Traffic. Not Jim Capaldi on drums is it?
Yes it is
Thanks, any details of when this was recorded?
It was aired on BBC 2 may 14th 1994. By that time Steve Winwood and Jim Capaldi had issued an album under the name of Traffic, Far From Home
Why is this captiioned Later with Jools Holland when there is a "Jimmy" logo top right?
Jimmy is for "Canal Jimmy", a french TV Channel that would air a lot of concerts, and also Jools Holland's shows for the french television. I recorded it on VHS back then!
Far from Home was a fairly disappointing effort unfortunately - not much of the old Traffic atmosphere.

Totally disagree, respectfully. I keep going back to this album every year or so since its release.
