Extremely well explained, "there will be days where things don't quite click into place" - this absolutely spot on with regards to wanting to see a youthful side with homegrown prospects rather than a team full of journeymen which is what we've been dealing with mostly for the past decade. Our loss against Plymouth over the weekend is a perfect example of this. A youthful team dominating a game but it just didn't quite click, and mistakes happened but our dominating and exciting style of play along with plenty of youth should have rovers fans excited. Must be said JDT is doing minor miracles getting this youthful side playing the way they are, but the hardline stance from the owners who have been persisting on this reliance of youth and player trading model for a few years now is finally being implemented. Which has angered a few rovers fans, who think we should be splashing cash on players. Great Video.
Glad you have covered us and our academy. I'm always hugely proud when we get players from our academy into our 1st team. Everyone is always obsessed with big money signings for headlines but this is so much more organic.
Nailed it mate, just a note worth adding, the academy was something that Jack Walker believed in and spent heavily on back in the early 90s which is why they have such a great base at Brockhall with top class facilities for the youth as well as the first team
Excellent views and right on the money with your analysis a lot of managers who's teams we've played have said we've been the best side they've played even when we've lost
Great video and I hope the, "brainless section", of our support watch this and take it in. We have quite a few supporters who think we should be winning every game by at least 4-0 and whinge at any chance possible! The only whinge I have had since we left the Premiership was firstly Steve Kean and then why we never really promoted our acadamy players to the first team squad when we clearly had so much talent at our disposal. Tony Mowbray did a fantastic "Father Figure" job in getting our acadamy lads in to the first team squad and JDT has gone even more down that line and as a Rovers fan, I'm absolutely loving it seeing our own players coming through and looking so good. Yes we will have bad days with such a young squad but when we hit it right, we can beat any team in this division. It's a learning curve for our youngsters and something we Rovers fans have to be patient with, and eventually, everything will click and once it does and they can keep a consistency to it, then we Rovers fans can begin to dream! Oh, and finally, thank you PNE for Tyrhys Dolan on a free xxxx that has to be one of the best steals in football history!
Hi, Man Utd fan here. Would really love a video on your interpretation and understanding of the Glazers situation at Manchester United and why the fans have massive problem's with them. Similar to the Spurs video you did. I think it's easy for non Man U fans who don't really understand the issues to just say ' they spend so much on players, what's the problem?'. Another line I see is 'they are so Entitled ?' With a true lack of understanding or willingness to understand. I think you would do it justice 👍 Love the video's and the work you do, keep it up.
Class vid 🔵⚪️ The only thing I would say is that we wanted a lot more for Ashley Philips but a release clause in his contract cause for spurs to steal him.
@@HLTCOMEDIA To be fair to you, there’s not an enormous amount of clarity for most Rovers fans. It was a murky situation. Appreciate you creating this video and the manner you handled it. I’m a partisan, but for a lot of neutrals, this is a really good and measured assessment of what we *think* is the club culture, going forward. Gregg Broughton is a big part of that success and JDT’s coaching has brought players on leaps and bounds.
The academy has always been quite a big part of the club, its just when we were a Premier League side most of our academy products filtered down the football ladder. The likes of Shay Given, James Beattie, Martin Taylor, Jonathan Walters, Anthony Pilkington all came through Brockhall before making their names elsewhere. Typically, academies produce one player that goes on to play professional football every three seasons. Rovers academy averages three per season and has done for 30 years.
I did indeed mate. I have a good friend who is a Rovers fan and it hasn't always been plain sailing but hopefully this is them on the up again. Would love to see them back in the PL again. Thanks my man, keep up the good work 💪
Pity the people negotiating Blackburn's player sales aren't performing as well as the academy. Rothwell could have been sold for £5m, ended up going for free; Diaz could have been sold for £15m, went on a free; Phillips deal done at 6m but tried to hussle Spurs and got £2.5m
You said a massive fan base 😂 im a blackburn fan our fan base is pretty poor other than that decent video but realistically we don't finish higher than 10th this season
Well explained. Rovers academy is the best in Europe apparently, we are and always have been a selling club, that’s always been the business model at Ewood. We are so proud of our academy graduates whether that’s with Rovers or elsewhere. I’m writing this the day after battering Cardiff 5-2. Yes we were there at Ewood last night! 💙🤍💙🤍💙

And a potential windfall coming from any sale of David Raya who came through the academy as well

Great analysis 👍

Philips went for a small 2.5 fee but the sell on clauses are huge and will create a good windfall in the future. Great video !
Great content..keep up the good work ⚽
Great video mate keep up your hard work. Hope you make it big one day❤

Thanks so much. Also, appreciate the clarity on that deal, I hadn’t realised. My own fault.

We had no choice with Phillips, he only agreed to sign a deal with a 2.5 mil buy out, it was agree to that or lose him for free
Love this!

Shhh
Don’t tell everyone 🤫
lost 30 to plymouth with 60 per cent possession failed in front of goal that's all .

Sitting here in Georgia USA reading this, so I’d say, pretty large fan base.
Mate we do have a large fan base when they turn out we can get full houses occasionally we don't do badly compared to many
