Great presentation. I just get one of those 2.5Kw for 1100€ and put it in sleepeng room (13m2). First impresion is that works great. And its installed only 7 cm away from celling. I like silent mode and function that directs fresh air left or right away from person who sleep bellow. Today is almost 40 deegres celsius outside home and 30 inside the room. I programed for inside on 23. It works like a charm. It keeps themperature while running but when off after two or three hours reise again on 30. When I opened the doors it also cooled off the coridor (8m2). I tried to cool of and second room of 14m2 but no succes. The temperature in first room claim to 25. But I had to try. Just to mention that both rooms are under direct sunligt and there is no a thermal protection on outside walls. I plan to put roockwool outside and test it again then. Greeting from at moment hot Croatia.

I’ve recently had a Mitsubishi multisplit installed and it’s making a really weird noise in the outdoor unit. It’s not coming from the fan but the condenser side (it’s much louder than the fan noise).
It’s almost like u can hear the liquid travel through the pipes, like having air in a home radiator system.
    Is this normal?

Unfortunately, I must agree with you. I have been using ME AC for years. I have SF25 (6 years and still going strong) and i just bought new AY25. To say that I’m disappointed would be an understatement. AY25 is very loud, the outdoor unit has a very distinctive vining sound and on low load it has a ticking sound, compared to my old SF25, AY25 is a joke. Internal unit has a sound like wind gushing. On heating mode, I can clearly hear compressors working and modulating in my indoor unit! I’m waiting for service in September but from my pov this is a low-quality product made in Turky and below ME standards.
I have posted how my internal unit sounds. I’m waiting for service and also service company in Croatia listen to this sound and they also don’t know what the cause is. A lot of problems with AY series. When I listen to my neighbors cheap Midea and Gree products I can’t belive how much money I paid for an inferior product.

This noise is truly shameful! It's the same as what mine do (three multisplit units) and the service center in my country (Italy) even accuses me of being fussy. Let's all be heard, also because at this point I was either buying the Kirigamine, or directly a cheap product. I wanted to ask you what is your external drive? Mine is one that controls three internal units, and it makes an absurd amount of noise. The other unit, which is a monosplit, does not make this noise! but so this is a cheap line made in Türkiye? what does it mean that the other Mitsubishi ones are better? if I think that they sold me Daikin at a lower price I bite my fingers!!

As far as we know there isn't a crackling sound upon defrosting, In our opinion AY maybe slightly better in quality

Hi, I got myself a 2.5kW set in September and it was working fine except for very loud hissing / blowing sound coming out of the internal unit under heavier cooling loads.(kind of like air or steam bursts but it is not the fan).
It happened right after starting the AC, lasted for a few to several minutes, and then came back in cycles once in an hour or so - always when the compressor was under significant load, e.g. ~800 kW of electrical power being consumed.
My installer double checked everything, tried adding more refrigerant (as instructed by Mitsubishi themselves) even though the piping was only 6m long but it did not change anything and both units were sent back to the local distributor for their inspection. After a few weeks of waiting I got a new pair and guess what, the new unit does pretty much the same noise under similar conditions.
Is this normal for these units then? The fan is dead silent on the lowest settings but these bursts are actually louder than the highest fan setting. The installer claims it is probably just how EEVs work in these units but I find it hard to believe that this model would be so widely recommended for bedrooms if that was the case.
Interestingly, heating is actually very quiet, no complaints here.

@@iLoveTheseRemoras I've just had the entire installation redone from scratch on top of both units being replaced last year. The issue remains. Now I wonder if all MSZ-AYs do this. If there is someone who is 100% happy with the unit and does not experience any weird sounds during cooling, please drop a comment.
      Btw, yes I meant 800 W ;-)

Thinking of 2 AY units, but considering paying extra for one emura and one stylish... What do you think? and what would the price difference be (mitsubishi vs daikin), roughly? 500 pounds?

We have a ground heating system operating from 2004. Last year we replaced the nit. We have been heating our garage with direct electicity but now i decided to put a heatpump in it. Among the top names I found this the best option. I was also concidering going cheap with Gree or some of their units branded otherwise.
I will tell you why I did not. In my garage which is probally larger than your appartment sound, a sticker or light does not matter. What does matter is that the unit works whitout acting strange in some of the cases with the cheap Chineese pumps. They tend to through ot a new product with a new name every 5 to 10 years.
I do not cla8m this to be the most efficient air-to-air pump but most likely one that will last and cause less issues.
Would it not be fare to say that you have evertyhing wrong when it comes to heat pumps. Not everything is suitable for your size and purpose. I mean there are likely people with different needs beside yours.
Well the heading watch this before buying a mitsubishi AY series heatpump becomes clear when watching their offering, which you apperantlly have not.

Sorry, but I need ACTUAL information. How big a house, or how big a room, can this thing cool? Where does the plumbing run? In the wall? In the floor? (tunneling through CONCRETE!?!?!) in the ceiling? I live in Tucson Arizona, where outside temps reach 115-120 degrees F. Can these units even WORK at those temps? I don't care about heating, since I haven't even had the heat on at all for the last 5 winters. It's not even a consideration to me. What's the warranty on this thing? How long does it take to install this system? How is Mitsubishi service? Will Mitsubishi stand behind the installation when I find all the stuff the installers did wrong and left out? THESE are the questions I want answered. I could care LESS about the white color or where the label is.
