800HP Lamborghini Urus SE Plug in Hybrid Super SUV Presentation

The Lamborghini Urus SE, recently unveiled at Auto China Beijing 2024, is Lamborghini's latest venture into electrification with its first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) super SUV. This new model showcases significant enhancements over its predecessors, including a new design and optimized aerodynamics, alongside a host of advanced on-board technologies.
The Urus SE is equipped with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine combined with an electric motor, delivering a total output of 800 horsepower and 950 Nm of torque. This setup enables the Urus SE to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 193 mph. The vehicle is supported by a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which allows for an all-electric range of up to 37 miles.
The vehicle features an eight-speed automatic transmission that directs power to all four wheels. It includes a new torque-vectoring system that provides 'on demand' oversteer, enhancing the driving dynamics synonymous with Lamborghini's super sports car experience.
Inside, the Urus SE offers a luxurious environment with a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, new telemetry options for monitoring the hybrid system, and redesigned interiors that enhance both comfort and aesthetic appeal. The exterior sees changes too, with a new front grille, bumper, and LED matrix headlights, which collectively improve the SUV’s aerodynamic efficiency.
The Urus SE also comes with advanced driving modes tailored for different driving conditions and preferences, including EV Drive for urban settings and Performance mode for unleashing the full potential of the hybrid system.
With these updates, the Urus SE not only pushes the boundaries of performance but also stands as a pivotal model in Lamborghini's "Direzione Cor Tauri" electrification strategy, promising a blend of exhilarating performance with improved efficiency and environmental consideration.
